Great review man! I was a bit skeptical about the touchscreens cause we often get our hand sweaty, especially when playing long all night sets (I play a lot of them cause I'm a resident dj) and I was afraid they were not super accurate. On the other hand, I really felt the need to upgrade my own setup, so I went for 2 xdj 1000's and a djm 900 nxs las summer. I couldn't be happier with this setup! For the price, these players are amazing, as they have all the features I need (actually more than the 2000 nxs mk1), the screens are really responsive, they do work great under sweaty smoky environments, and I got used to them in a couple of days. That being said, I was able to get a great setup, and save almost 2 grand while getting all the features from a full on top of the line nxs setup. Plus, I can still pair this setup with my laptop and traktor via hid mode, which is always a bonus. I recommend them to everyone, or at least give them a try before judging the touch screens :)
+Tweezy06 Thanks! Hip-Hop Drum Samples Flash drives... This one is the Yamaha speaker one. It is 16GB. Check them out here ---> hiphopdrumsamples.com/collections/types?q=Flash%20Drives
DJ Blaze, the one thing I don't like about the XDJ-1000 is the plastic feel to the jog wheels. I tested them at guitar center and the jog wheels are very noisy. They just don't feel like a CDJ that cost $1000 bucks. If you buy a pair is $2000, that's a lot of money for a piece of equipment that feels more like a toy.. That is my only gripe.
+DJTEDDY507 I can understand that. They do feel cheaper than the top tier CDJ's but even those jog wheels make a mechanical noise when you spin them. But they do feel sturdier...
Hello, thank you for your videos which I love. I have a few questions. - I'm having trouble using the beat sync option: how does it work? Do I have to click on "sync" and "master" on one XDJ and just click on "sync" on the other XDJ? Or do you just click on "sync" and "master" on one XDJ? - And about the cue points, I wonder how they appear, can we easily see when they are in the track (minutes)? I have the impression that it's less clear than when you see them on your computer. - And if you program the cue points in export mode on Recordbox, do they appear on the XDJ? - And there can only be 3 hot cues per track, right?
For those that are noting a djm 900 nxs is a great mixer to use with these decks. I'd like to add that if you snag a used rmx 1000 and a djm 750 its more bang for your buck in terms of possibilities and ideas compared to just having the color/beat fx of a 900 nxs. I found a rmx1k for 400 bucks on craigslist new in box and dropped 950 bucks on the 750. quite the combo and way more possibilities! just throwing that out there!
+DJbooth DJ's Thanks love the videos btw. Im currently on a Sz setup but I may be looking to sell it because that thing is super heavy with the case and awkward to handle at times because of its size.So I would think if they all were in separate cases it would be better to handle (xdj and mixer that is)
What would you need to jump back 1,2 or 4 beats back for? Is this catering to a certain genre or mix style? Couldn't see any use for this myself that's all.
+PunchineloPow I would think that more EDM and fast 4/4 beat style dance music DJ's would use this more than anyone else as they can skip to breakdowns and highs and lows in the track easier while still remaining on-beat...
+Javier Dexter Florian They are both excellent. I like the overall feel of separate players since I come from a Turntable background. So I would go with two separate XDJ-1000's and a Pio or Xone style mixer...

Great walkthrough. Thanks!. I have a gig this saturday where they most likely will have a set of these players, so I needed to check them out /FLX
I love 3 things, qwerty keyboard, beatjump, and harddrive. No computer.
Nice review, what kind of flash drive do you have plugged into the player.

for 1000 dollars they could have used metal. Pioneer are laughing all the way to the bank.

Will you be doing a video on xdj 700? great work BTW,,,
+ClectaSkiMusic Yes! I am actually getting that next and I will do it quickly too. Gotta get ready for the CDJ-2000NXS2 and much more!
+DJbooth DJ's I heard that Denon is announcing a new standalone all in one unit at NAMM! You should let us know what you think about it too!
+fouskalini Check this space tomorrow morning at 10AM EST and you will know exactly what I think!!!... www.djbooth.net/djs
So, what's the downside to not having a digital RCA output?

4k looking fire my g
+Kenny Pistol Thanks! It takes hours to upload 4K to youtube...
Great review as usual! I'm convinced. Buying a pair!
id say its more in line with the 900 nexus but better probably. Hot cues, looping, slip, vinyl stop. Beast fro the price.
Please do a review on the pioneer DJM 850K
I'm having trouble bring up the qwerty key board, do you have to be in record mode, thanks in advance.
i don't remember having to be in any mode to type on it...
thanks for getting back too me, I was asking do you need to be in record box to access the Qwerty key board. I can't get it to come up.
sorry I just look at my Question and it says mode, I meant recordbox.
Took some time 😂😂 Dude the cdj 2000nxs2 and the djm 900nxs2 are already revealed but I still love your vids...
revealed, announced.. I'm sure that's what he meant.
Did you even listen to the video...?
+sirch one yes.. announced... never going to make that mistake again
Is is possible to see time to the set hotcues and skip/jump 1/1 beats while not on play? I edit my hotcues live so i need this feature.
Hi, would you be able to add two of these to a pioneer DDJ-RX? I'm unsure about this player as the hot cues are on a touch screen and I like RGB pads
+EX3MPTION Yes you can. you can connect them all through USB connections to your computer or you can connect them using RCA cables to the RX...
hot cues not a big deal since mixer has them and I dont know anyone who still uses CD unless your a legend like David Rodigan PR something
I will like to now how to work the serato with the dj x1000 can you help me
How would this compare to the new nx2? I know the digital to analog converter is better and hot cues , and new phase and beat counter ,but what else?
+TheGr33k13 I will let you know when I get the NX2 setup soon...
+DJbooth DJ's Thanks love the videos btw. +TheGr33k13 Agreed... It is much easier to handle three separate pieces than a huge one...
How much
Great review !!
what are the highest fidelity tracks I can play on these? is it WAV?
Not sure, check the Pioneer website...
what is the last track in the video? thanks
G4SHI - Day Ones
Are people still using CDs? CDs can get scratched. Plus with this it won't skip or glitch up from online use.
+Mac Joseph Clubs and Mobile DJ's are still using them which is probably a huge segment of buyers. I don't use CD's though...
I stay glued to your channel.
+Mac Joseph I see you here all the time man! Thanks for rockin with us!!!
+DJbooth DJ's thanx! I love waiting for you to review new things. it's my favorite!
+DJbooth DJ's what kind of usb flash drive are you using
Wait where are the hot cues? In The touch screen?
+STEVIEC MUSIC Yup, three hot cue points in the touch screen!
great instruction...keep it up :)
Also what do DJ's use beat jump for?
+PunchineloPow To skip to a certain point in a track very quickly...
What would you need to jump back 1,2 or 4 beats back for? Is this catering to a certain genre or mix style?
Couldn't see any use for this myself that's all.

Ahhh ok. Thanks for getting back. Keep up the good vidoes :)
Are the xdj 1000s able to do instant doubles like the cdjs?
+mariocoin6 I'm not sure... I haven't tried it and I don't have it any more to test...
+DJbooth DJ's ok
No one seems to be able to answer my question. Yes I will be using it for gigs, dont care about the weight. XDJ1000 or XDJ RX? Help..
+Javier Dexter Florian They are both excellent. I like the overall feel of separate players since I come from a Turntable background. So I would go with two separate XDJ-1000's and a Pio or Xone style mixer...
+DJbooth DJ's Thank you so much for taking the time to reply!
