I've said it many times, and I will say it again: sleeves are not the problem. An unflattering dress is not unflattering because of sleeves. There are many beautiful gowns with sleeves. It's a matter of getting all the other elements of the dress to flatter. If the last dress, which was very flattering had sleeves, it still would have been beautiful on the bride, and she would have been beautiful in it.

Yep! My mother at her wedding in 2015 wore a dress with sleeves and it was perfect!! I was maid of honor (which annoyed one of my sisters quite a bit) and I was the only one that went to the dress appt. Less people is more at these appointments and sleeves can be gorgeous.
Lost my dad April this year but he left me with my little brother who looks exactly like him. This episode pulled at my heart strings 😢

If she knew she wanted sleeves, she should’ve gone to Gok! He’s got the best selection of gorgeous dresses with sleeves that don’t make the bride look frumpy or matronly.
Not everyone can travel to where Gok works. Too many people have a huge fantasy of him as being "THE" diva of the wedding dress industry, and need to get some working brains into their stupid skulls that he can't possibly dress every freaking female who's looking for a gown!!!! He's one person, and he isn't able to clone 10,000 of himself in order to satisfy YOUR idiotic fantasy!
And for your information, Gok doesn't own the store he works in, nor does he have any say in the merchandise that lands there. He's nothing but another consultant, just like everyone else on these shows.

One of my wishes, if my sister decides to get married one day, it's paying for her wedding dress! So, I was excited watching this video, the brother of this bride it's so sweet and caring! Also he chose a lovely dress and her sister really tried it on to take in count his opinion. The comparison with her father was adorable! At the end, she decided to wear a great dress, some adjustments at it would be perfect for sure!

She is so blessed that her brother got up and went through the dresses and picked one which suited her figure, his being honoured to be paying for the dress and walking her down the isle, I somehow think he embodies a lot of their Dad.

This has to be one of my most fav episodes! The love and respect between the siblings is amazing!
I love that this brother and sister are close, wanting the best for each other, and will do anything to make it happen, it's a rare thing. When the bride has been blessed on top, then I do prefer some sort of straps, anything but strapless or long sleeves.
When top of the dress is constructed well it can give enough support if that's your worry. On some people straps can look bad and shorten them optically. There's no golden rule, it all depends on overall proportions, not one body part. In my opinion, long sleeves don't look good very often because they have to be executed perfectly to do so. That rarely shows when you're in sample size, but this may be just my impression. The siblings are adorable, there's a lot of love in them and you can tell it's not just because of the sister's wedding.
@@freyja6360 I still think some sort of straps/sleeveless/even 3/4 sleeves, are best for ladies who are blessed on top, and I agree that it does depend overall proportions which way to go on that. If the person is well endowed even the well constructed strapless can make them look droopy, a little extra lifting support helps. I do like strapless on some people. I'm not a fan with long sleeves either or cap sleeves they look like football gear. In the end, it's always what the bride loves, it's her day. Yes agree, love their brother and sister relationship, it's really sweet.

What a beautiful family. Her brother could of deep down wanted the other dress perhaps as he picked it and all but saw how happy she was and pretty she looked and was just so supportive and happy for her. So encouraging to see these loving and healthy dynamics between them.
This was sweet. The brother not only is walking his kid sister down the isle but said his would be honored to pay for the gown. This is what i really like seeing in this kind of show.

That dress is so beautiful on you, I hope your wedding day is filled with love and joy. I also lost my dad and I understand how him not being there is sad, but trust that even though you can't see him he will be there watching over you and your family as he did when he was alive. Your brother is a sweet heart, your dad is proud of both of you.
Brother does have a point about the first dress. She looked like Mirror Universe Morticia Addams: long straight blond (black) hair parted in the middle, long straight sleeves, plunging neckline, long form fitting white (black) dress that flares close to the floor. It was the Morticia silhouette, but reverse color. If that’s what she likes, go for it.
I wish we could see them in the gowns that are their size. I am actually impressed with this dress…very pretty, unique and suits the bride perfectly

The only change I would make to the dress is filling in where the netting on the top is. I find it too distracting. Otherwise, gorgeous dress, phenomenal family, especially Johnny.
I agree! Heavy breasted women (maybe I'm just jealous-lol) showing some effects of gravity, shall we say, are better to stick with just showing full, beautiful cleavage and not further down the front or sides. I'm hopeful they would fit her up with more support on the day.
