I honestly think the 1st dress was stunning in its simple elegance- very womanly and the 3rd one was just dreamy....I would never have let them talk me into the 2nd.
I feel bad for the bride. She was glowing and smiling in the 3rd dress until her moms harsh comments. You could tell she was really hurt and crying. I wish she had gone with her dream dress!
I’ve believe “not my day, not my say”. She looked stunning in dress #1. Her face lit up in dress #3. I feel she settled for #2 because her mom had tears. I always look at my daughter’s face when she is asking for my opinion in clothing. I want to see the smile coming from within and it always shows on the face.
It's an older episode: From season 2. So they changed the format since then to be more supportive and more in the energy of Gok. (i.e. the producers got a clue and stopped doing the conflict narrative.)
You are over dramatic about this one. Mom hardly said anything, she IS the mother of the bride and usually the one paying.... Why does their opinion bother you so!!!!? If the daughter didn't want to hear a word out of her, she probably wouldn't have invited her. And moms simple opinion doesn't mean that the daughter will not choose what she wants. Smh
I felt like she was emotionally pushed into that dress. She was basically finding a dress that her mom loved but she liked. I think if they had started princess to begin with, she would have found her dress and her mom might have seen how much she loved it and accepted her daughters choice.
The first one was the best. Stunning in its simplicity, it allowed her beautiful figure to shine and she looked like a goddess. She could have jazzed it up with jewelry and a fancy veil if she wanted more bling. Also, I've had enough of obnoxious, hurtful, manipulative moms controlling these bridal appointments.
Dress one was striking on her. Satin. Simple lines in that stunning figure. Dress 3 also stunning. 2 was my least favorite. That mother was HORRID. Bride was a delight.
It’s awful that a bride places more weight on mom rather than thinking of how she herself wants to feel as she walks toward the man she is about to marry!
My heart sinks when a daughter says her mother is “brutally honest”. You can be honest but not brutal, and the main thing to remember is that it’s the bride’s wedding, and the bride’s choice. Why can’t these mothers remember that?
If you know daughter wants a different style than your style, you really shouldn't trash her opinion and be pushy, it's like she was determined not to agree to a princess dress regardless of what her daughter wants
Poor bride. I hope her husband will be supportive and love her for what she is, to undo what this mother might have done to her daughter all her life. This is not how loving parents behave.
The third dress was absolutely stunning and the bride looked just gorgeous. If the mother is so brutal, someone should tell her that with such hair she has no right to advise about aesthetics. The mother just wanted to have control, she was "crying" without tears.
She found the dress she wanted (the princess dress), but mom made her SETTLE for a different one. Why don’t mothers get a clue? Stay out of the picking of a wedding dress if you cannot be supportive! 🙄😡
I think it's fine for the mom to have the hair she wants, but it's kind of hilarious that in this Disney themed appointment, she has cartoon Ursula's hair.
I remember that first dress from another episode, and it was the dress the bride fell in love with, and the mom was refusing to go to the wedding if she got it because the V in the neckline was too revealing for her taste. I love that first dress the most.
Sorry for me it's the first 🥇 Her mother's & second woman only speaking after the bride's mother's "mouth" = awful, thank you to the nice friend putting this beautiful bride in her center 🙏
It's pretty hysterical that anyone is listening to the mother's opinion about style when her one sense of style isn't developed. Quirky or edgy or avant-garde can be great and fun and stylish, but she hasn't figured it out for herself yet, much less anyone else. :/
And that’s so often the case with these bully moms. They are so critical while sitting there with hair that’s not even brushed. The worst ones though are the ones that make snide comments about the bride’s figure while they sit there looking like a frog on a stump. And I suspect that many of the mothers bringing their “vision” to the table never had a wedding of their own at all and are determined to have their dream wedding vicariously through their daughters.
I have a problem with the mother pressuring her child into a dress that she wanted and not listening and respecting her daughter’s wants and desires for HER wedding. Not cool mom not cool at all!!
She is someone who want her daughter do only what she wants, not matter at all about what her daughter want for her important day. The first dress was so elegant and classy
I would've loved to see them bling up the first dress with a diamante belt, necklace and bracelet. I bet she would have looked more stunning than she already did!
@@lysem4392 I agree. I liked it as it was, but I still would've liked to have seen how it would've looked. I also am curious if her mother would've had a change of heart.
First of all mother that hair is revolting ! Either red or that other horrible colour. That 1st dress is absolutely stunning. Your daughter is the bride...you're not that important Australia
I could not agree with you more. I get so tired of watching these shows and these mothers think they have a right to control their daughters wedding. It’s not about them. It’s about the happiness of their daughter and if they truly love your daughter, they will support her and stand by her, no matter what.
I don't understand why these brides drag a whole posse of critics to their appointments. They should shop alone, buy a dress they can afford with their own money, and surprise everyone on the wedding day. This bride should have definitely left her mother at home.
I'm sorry, what kind of prom dresses is the mom thinking of?? Dress 1 was so elegant and timeless, definitely looked like a wedding dress. But dress 3 was so beautiful too, she looked magical in it! I wish her mother wasn't even there, she might have made a very different choice.
I rather throw the mother out of the castle window then the dress her daughter loves, cause at the end of the day it's her daughter who will wair the dress she loves the most. For all brides to be, i'd say choose your dress. Don't let outhers choose for you.
I honestly think the 1st dress was stunning in its simple elegance- very womanly and the 3rd one was just dreamy....I would never have let them talk me into the 2nd.
Completely in agreement.
Agree - the 3rd dress was just “her”
the second one was too mature for her
Exactly. 2nd dress was so basic. Mother has old fashioned taste.
I agree; liked 1 and 3 much more, plus the 2nd dress had a rather awkward looking seam that stood out at the bust line.
"Brutally honest" is code for insensitive and rude. I don't care about her reasons, she can still be polite
She looked gorgeous in all 3 dresses. She should have left her mom at home.
So true
And brought her own wallet.
Honesty minus compassion equals brutality.
Be honest but be kind. ❤
I am so tired of the mothers controlling the dress selection at the bride's fitting. It is not your wedding.
Amen to that 🙌
Thank you! I was just coming to comment that I _hate_ hearing someone saying "it's not the dress *I* want" when that person isn't the bride! 🤬
It's an older episode: From season 2. So they changed the format since then to be more supportive and more in the energy of Gok. (i.e. the producers got a clue and stopped doing the conflict narrative.)

Right you are. It's not the... meaning all of their mothers wedding.
These Mom's aren't "brutally honest" they are simply "brutal".
For sure that 3rd dress was THE one. Sad she compromised….and ya, she did.
That's how my Mother was.......
I felt like she was emotionally pushed into that dress. She was basically finding a dress that her mom loved but she liked. I think if they had started princess to begin with, she would have found her dress and her mom might have seen how much she loved it and accepted her daughters choice.
It's like they read the personality of the audience, a pushy mum + a lenient daughter = please the mum
She was not glowing in the dress. She was glowing with her mother’s approval. Trust me, you need to drop that habit before marriage.
"You can see it glowing from her; she loves this dress." No, mom, she LOVED the dress that you called "awful."
Oh no! I loved the princess dress on her! Even with the added skirt, the second dress did not compare. I really hope she was happy with her choice ❤
What a beautiful bride! She looks fantastic in everything!
Gosh, I love Gok. He's so great with the brides!!
Dress one was striking on her. Satin. Simple lines in that stunning figure. Dress 3 also stunning. 2 was my least favorite. That mother was HORRID. Bride was a delight.
Moms hair should have excluded her from any help picking her dress
It’s awful that a bride places more weight on mom rather than thinking of how she herself wants to feel as she walks toward the man she is about to marry!
This is the psychology that has been set up when the Mother was pregnant......
If she didnt like the dress why couldn't she be kind about it. She wasnt "brutal". She was wicked.
I don’t blame her for wanting a Cinderella moment with lady tremaine as her mother. Especially with that horrid hair style
My heart sinks when a daughter says her mother is “brutally honest”. You can be honest but not brutal, and the main thing to remember is that it’s the bride’s wedding, and the bride’s choice. Why can’t these mothers remember that?

Poor bride. I hope her husband will be supportive and love her for what she is, to undo what this mother might have done to her daughter all her life. This is not how loving parents behave.
Mum had her day. Let the daughter have hers.
I love when they add a veil that has a satin edge to match the dress so pretty!
The third dress was absolutely stunning and the bride looked just gorgeous. If the mother is so brutal, someone should tell her that with such hair she has no right to advise about aesthetics. The mother just wanted to have control, she was "crying" without tears.
You go Gok. Love the dress with the overskirt. Very different what the mom wanted and what she wanted. Mission accomplished.
She found the dress she wanted (the princess dress), but mom made her SETTLE for a different one. Why don’t mothers get a clue? Stay out of the picking of a wedding dress if you cannot be supportive! 🙄😡
Gok is fantastic. I just adore him.
The second dress was worst of all. She loved the last one and it was nearly half the price. Nice going team!
Oh wow. Loved that first dress. So classy.
I had a control freak mother, too. Didn't even give her the wedding date until after I'd gotten my dress.
So relieved when saw the overskirt. Def felt she was trying to please Mum.
She looked beautifull in all of them .i think her mom should let her daughter choose the dress you had your day let your daughter have hers
The overskirt saved the day once again!
The third dress, the 'princess-style' suited here best of all, even the colour suited her so well. That should have been her dress.
I think it's fine for the mom to have the hair she wants, but it's kind of hilarious that in this Disney themed appointment, she has cartoon Ursula's hair.
😂😂😂
She is stunning in all the dresses.💗
I'm so glad I have a supportive mum who said from the beginning that what counts is that I am happy with my dress choice.
The ultimate power trip for moms who realize it’s their last shot and telling their daughters what to do
Oh wow! The last bride looked absolutely stunning in all the dresses... Nbr 1 was just so elegant and flattering I would not know which one to choose!
I remember that first dress from another episode, and it was the dress the bride fell in love with, and the mom was refusing to go to the wedding if she got it because the V in the neckline was too revealing for her taste. I love that first dress the most.
Gok always has something up his sleeve! She looks stunning in the dress!
It's not tears of "I found the dress of my dreams"
It's the tears of "I am giving up my dreams so everyone can be happy"
That's a sad tears :(
That girl needs to get away from her mother!
That's not Love, that's control!
First one all the way. Stunning. Enhanced the bride with elegance, and you were looking at her not the dress.
I liked the 3rd dress on her the best. I also liked the simplicity of the 1st dress.
Sorry for me it's the first 🥇
Her mother's & second woman only speaking after the bride's mother's "mouth" = awful, thank you to the nice friend putting this beautiful bride in her center 🙏
I loved the princess dress and then then the 1st one.
Someone needs to rescue this princess bride. And yes the mom might find that person beastly. 😅
Gok is amazing!
The first dress is the nicest. Simple and elegant.
It's pretty hysterical that anyone is listening to the mother's opinion about style when her one sense of style isn't developed. Quirky or edgy or avant-garde can be great and fun and stylish, but she hasn't figured it out for herself yet, much less anyone else. :/
I‘d never take fashion advice from someone with hair like that. Mom or not. Just no
That hideous hair says everything you need to know about her "style".
And that’s so often the case with these bully moms. They are so critical while sitting there with hair that’s not even brushed. The worst ones though are the ones that make snide comments about the bride’s figure while they sit there looking like a frog on a stump. I’m shocked ! It’s gorgeous !
She looked best in 3rd dress. It fittet her best, too.
The second dress is stunning ! She looks so beautiful!
I think mum should have stayed quiet and picked what her heart truly wanted. She looked stunning in everything
She so pretty she could wear a paper sack and be beautiful
The first and third were the best options
in my opinion she looked her best with the 1st and 3rd dress, but long as she's happy
Shame on you, mum
Her Mom is so RUTHLESS 😮
The 1st dress was perfect
1:38 I felt that “oh for God’s sake” 😂😂
I LOVED THAT 3RD DRESS! I'm sorry, but I really hate that magenta/pink "Karen" haircut....
She's so beautiful in every dress ❤
What a shame! I loved the 3rd princess dress....I feel so badly for the bride
I have a problem with the mother pressuring her child into a dress that she wanted and not listening and respecting her daughter’s wants and desires for HER wedding. Not cool mom not cool at all!!
"BRUTALLY HONEST" doesnt mean they are speaking the truth.
The 3rd dress was gorgeous. Selfish mother
I liked the third dress the best, by far, and she seemed happiest in it as well. I hope that she had a remarkable wedding .
The 2nd dress was definitely the dress by for her. Hope she had a beautiful wedding.
Beautiful bride.
The first one was stunning
That princess dress was stunning on her 🥲
All of them looked great on her, which is not usually the case.
The first dress was stunning and made her look gorgeous. That mother is out of line. Not her dress!!!
sometimes when people say “it looks like a prom dress” i’m thinking what prom have you been to????
I loved the princess dress and I think she did too. Mom should have stayed home. Too forceful.
She is someone who want her daughter do only what she wants, not matter at all about what her daughter want for her important day. The first dress was so elegant and classy
Whose wedding is it anyway, Jade's or her mom's?! 🤔
She looked like a goddess in #3.
Dress #1 was classy and the fit was amazing on her.
I would've loved to see them bling up the first dress with a diamante belt, necklace and bracelet. I bet she would have looked more stunning than she already did!
I liked the first one.
It didn't need a diamante belt, jewellery would have sufficed. In my opinion, it was sleekly elegant just as it was.
It flattered her figure the best!
@@lysem4392 I agree. I liked it as it was, but I still would've liked to have seen how it would've looked. I also am curious if her mother would've had a change of heart.
@@GpD79 Her mother has a heart?
Ah, yet another episode of "It's Not Your Wedding".
What were they seeing? That first dress was stunning...
Stunning bride!
First of all mother that hair is revolting ! Either red or that other horrible colour.
That 1st dress is absolutely stunning.
Your daughter is the bride...you're not that important
Australia
I love the princess dress it her wedding she should get the one she dreamed of
I could not agree with you more. I get so tired of watching these shows and these mothers think they have a right to control their daughters wedding. It’s not about them. It’s about the happiness of their daughter and if they truly love your daughter, they will support her and stand by her, no matter what.
What was the word compromise doing in a sentence about someone choosing their wedding dress. Smh.
The 1st one was the best
I don't understand why these brides drag a whole posse of critics to their appointments. They should shop alone, buy a dress they can afford with their own money, and surprise everyone on the wedding day. This bride should have definitely left her mother at home.
This is the best idea of all. It's exactly what I did.
That' the best way to do things.
And can we talk about mom’s hair? Come on. Ridiculous
You can talk about it with yourself. No one else is interested in belittling someone for their hair.
Agree 😀
The mother has no taste.
I love the hair..the mom's attitude, not so much. Nothing wrong with a little funk.
Agree completely. Cheap and tacky looking.
Awful hair
Ugh. My oldest daughter is 20. I couldn't IMAGINE tearing her apart like that over anything. But a wedding dress?!? That woman should be ashamed.
If I ever get married, I think I will go alone and choose whatever I WANT
I think it's wonderful that you are so enterprising and will have all your own savings for this venture.
dress 1 was beautiful..
If your daughter wants princess and her face lights up, that's all you need to see. It is not your wedding.
They picked the least attractive on her. That first and 3rd were both stunning on her. She's a stunning woman, so she will be beautiful no matter
Dress 1 was also elegant enough to be dyed and worn to other events to get the money's worth out of it.
I question if this mother actually loves her daughter. This is not how you treat someone you love.
The brides on this show, rarely get married in the dress they picked on the show. The 3rd dress suited the bride and her vision better.
Just because you’re honest doesn’t mean you’re right.
I rather throw the mother out of the castle window then the dress her daughter loves, cause at the end of the day it's her daughter who will wair the dress she loves the most. For all brides to be, i'd say choose your dress. Don't let outhers choose for you.
Yeah, because the bride would have a great day if her mother was murdered...
Right dresses,wrong mom 😡🤬
