“I think your bum looks amazing” Omg I loved that comment 😂 But in all seriousness, the bride should’ve stood her ground and gone with the dress she loved and felt amazing in, which was the first one. The second one is what she said she didn’t like. At the beginning, she said “no lace, no sleeves.” Momma is being too controlling. I’d have been fine with maybe a compromise, like the first dress with a little lace to satisfy Mum. The third dress was VERY VERY good for the day, with a lot of bling, very New Years Eve-esque, but mum had to come and ruin the bride’s spirit, but I mean, at least she was able to compromise with her mom on this one. Still think the first one was better :/
The first dress was perfect. Her friends agreed. Then Mom jumped in. Mom is jealous of her daughter. So she didn't "like anything about it." And Mom got her way, again. Bet she's always been this way. Sorry, sad, but true.
I agree, they should have dressed up the first one the bride loved or pulled more satin fitted off the shoulder or sleeveless. So disappointed in the dresses they chose for this beautiful young woman.
The first dress looked the best on her by far! And I love how the guy is saying it's only 67 pounds over the budget, yet that's just the dress and doesn't include the belt or a veil! Sheesh. I truly think the first one was the best for her venue, date, and body style.
When I got married in 1974 my Mum helped me hem my dress (which I designed and made) and never said anything about whether she liked it or not...she wanted me to be happy. My second wedding a couple of decades later...same thing. She knew I knew my own mind.
I think she said she’s been “right” for 26 years, not married for it. I took that to mean she’s always been right for as long as her daughter has been alive
Mom had no fashion sense whatsoever, look at her Karen haircut, how frumpy SHE was dressed!! Daughter should have stood her ground on the first dress and not cave into mom’s bullying. That first dress was perfect for her, and looked very elegant and flattering. Sometimes mothers don’t want their daughters to look their best, out of jealousy.
Such a shame she didn’t go for the first dress, it was perfect for the theme of her wedding & her figure & it was so unique. The other dresses were just like prom dresses. Her Mum is abhorrent, she’s ruined what her daughter will look like on her wedding day, so selfish!
1st dress was perfect in every way. Mom just wants the bride to look pure & show less body. That's always the case. I don't understand why mom's, granny's, etc., always get the last word, when they're NOT wearing the dress & it's NOT their wedding. That just burns my nerves. 😠
Can they just start kicking out the moms/entourage members who bully and forget it's not about them or their day? I feel bad for so many of these brides that bring a support system that ends up ruining their day.
I wish she would have went with the first dress. It looked amazing on her and o feel it fit her vibe the best. Don’t let your mother ever keep you from your dreams.
The first dress was absolutely stunning on her & it fit her theme and venue. She should have stood up for herself more. At the end of the day, it's her dress & her wedding, not moms. Her mom had her moment, it's her daughter's turn to shine 💕
I didn’t say one negative word when my daughter was shopping for her dress. I don’t understand how mothers can be so cruel. I did cry when she tried on the first dress because of her health problems we never thought she would live to be a bride. We were so blessed.
That's why the Bride NEEDS to PAY for the wedding dress/wedding HERSELF! No one can say anything about it; no one is holding the purse strings BUT the Bride! I realize lots of girl's have their "dream dress"; we all do. But they need to get their head out of the clouds; wake up and realize that maybe having Mommy and Daddy pay for everything will come with a noose to choke you! See if the shop you're dealing with will let you have a payment plan - mine did. OR...start saving NOW for your dream dress, even though it may be years before you decide to get married! There is no shame in that! OR...find a low-interest credit card you could use (yes, I know, few and far between, but still try).
Sometimes mothers don't know best at all. The first dress looked incredible on her had the glamour she wanted My daughter can wear whatever she chooses I only asked one thing, to make sure the girls are put away so they don't blind the Priest
Love how the belt was just sitting on the table 🥰 that doesnt even go with the dress 🥰 The first dress looked amazing on her and was what she originally wanted 👌🏻
My mum was/is a tailoress/dressmaker. I knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding dress which she made for me. I had absolute NO problems with my lovely mother trying to highjack my choice so I really sympathise with this bride.
My Mom made my wedding dress, I still have it 51 years later! It was an A line, the dress did not really matter the man I married did! Here we are 51 years later still married! Still in love! He was 19 I was 16, and 5 children has made us a big family with ,lots of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren! We are Happy!
Sometimes they just want it (the show) finally done and over with, instead of drawing it out any more. Sometimes the bride is tired, teary, upset and worn out (and sorry that she ever bothered with that show!), and just says yes to tie it up, and then goes for something different off-camera.
Every video I watch the more I’m thankful my mom was on my side on just what I wanted no matter what. And that she and my sister were the only ones I invited
Bride: Should have stood her ground for first dress. It looked amazing on you. Is your mother going to control your marriage/life? Mom: It isn't your wedding. It isn't your dress. You going to control daughter's & husband's marriage? You got what you really wanted; control. Bride should not have had her mother there.
The First one was AMAZING. It was her as a grown woman, a wife, a woman who knows who she is and is confident in that. He body is fire and should not have been covered up. The others were super busy, completely swallowed her, and made her look like a child trying too hard to be a princess. I hope she rethinks the dress she was pressured into. Sometimes, you have to show people the depth and growth you've acquired from what they've once knew. They still see her as a girly young lady.
@@gooberfries6692 GO for it, Girl! Rock it! I'm with you all the way! The "Princess" issue I have is that it makes little girls think they can't take care of themselves; a man must do it for them. There was a book written about it back in the 80's called "The Cinderella Complex". Things HAVE gotten better over time, but it is ALWAYS best if girls learn that THEY have to take care of THEMSELVES, and NOT depend on someone else to do it for them.
The first dress was really a show stopper! I believe she never looked as gorgeous in her whole life and never will. The last dress was just okay, lovely but not more.
When I was married, my husband to be, picked the dress. It was beautiful, I wore it each anniversary for the first ten years. Your old enough to say yes, it's time to tell mom stay home..thanks.
I would absolutely love to go dress shopping with my daughter. And I would NEVER shoot down anything she chose. It's her day, after all. I don't understand these mothers who seem to enjoy making their daughters feel bad
well, she clearly has allowed mom to have the main voice - for a long time. It's their relationship so I won't speak about it. What bothers me is that they did not show her one dress that was within the budget. Plus the belt will add $$. It's a beautiful dress, happy everyone left happy, but they always do this! There are many dresses that are less than $1500.
Every time I see brides with such hurtful mothers I'm even more grateful for my mum. She was so supportive when I was shopping for my wedding gown. And respected my choice.
What is with all these mothers who feel they can choose their daughters’ wedding dresses? My mom knew I would pick out my own dress, just as I knew my daughter would choose hers. Easy peasy. Mom’s job is to sit there and smile and tell her daughter how beautiful she is in the dress she has chosen. Maybe shed a few tears thinking back to dressing that baby girl to bring her home from the hospital.
Who is going to pay? Wedding gowns are not cheap and they do not come off the rack they must be ordered months in advance, there may be a return policy but there will not be a full refund. Money matters are important.
Mum needs to dial it back and remember who is the one getting married! I really wish people would support the bride in her vision and put aside their own.
This kind of situation would drive me up the wall if I was an assistant in a bridal shop. I don’t think I could stay impartial if I saw a bride abandon her own vision and go for pleasing her Narc mother instead.
That's the exact reason I went dress shopping by myself. My mother picked apart my dress choice, but too bad, it was bought and paid for...and it was MY choice! When I went dress shopping with my daughter, I was the polar opposite of my mother...I let my daughter choose what she wanted, and told her how beautiful she looked. My daughter has told me many times she doesn't know how I grew up with a mother like mine.
From the time I saw the bride in the first dress and her mom said that she doesn't like anything about the dress I'm wondering if the wedding is the mom own because I know for a fact that the mom already have her day 26yrs ago and now it's time for her daughter to have her day and enjoy it
I think her mom was correct. The first dress did not flatter her. I loved the 2nd dress but I'm glad she found the 3rd. Her mom was right it needed the sash.
Wow! That was beautiful dress. Made her look so magical. Loved the material. The first dress looked too much like a slip. I liked the mom's selection, but the dress that Hannah chose was just poppin. Totally poppin. Didn't even need the belt, but the mom was right it did take the attention to the center of the dress.
My granddaughters asked me to go wedding dress shopping with them. With each dress, I asked them these questions 1. Does it make you smile 2. Does it make you happy 3. Can you dance in it Then I told them to try their favourite dresses on and close their eyes and then tell me what they felt when they opened their eyes. This turned out to be the right thing for both of them to do to make their decision, but they just needed my agreement. They picked out beautiful dresses and looked stunning and they really enjoyed their special day. Mothers, family members and friends don't need to be mean or cruel just because they don't like a dress, they can express their views kin̈dly and not upset the bride, after all she's the one wearing it, and will look at the photos in the future. Just appreciate that she's asked you to be a part of the occasion.
When I got married, I went to pick out my wedding dress alone. After watching these programs, I am overjoyed I made that decision.
I didn’t go alone but I went with the least opinionated people I know. I already knew what I was going for.

Stop exaggerating. She values her Mum's opinion and that's why she brought her along. And from what I see it's her Mum who was paying for the dress......
I agree to a point. Shes a bit aggressive but I wouldn't call her "a very bad mother" that's a bit extra.
@@123staycee People in this comment section are always extra, and act like they are psychologists.
@@jenniferngure1136 she seems completely incapable of making any decision that her mother disagrees with. Which is not how you want your adult children to go through life, afraid of making choices that only affect themselves, because someone else doesn’t like it.
"I'm always right, in my own opinion." Ugh. Calm down mom. If you like lace, get your own lace dress.
I actually HATE it when mums say that my mum always says this to me and it gets on my nerves I am sure that women just have children for some one to control and use as their puppets
“I think your bum looks amazing”
Omg I loved that comment 😂
But in all seriousness, the bride should’ve stood her ground and gone with the dress she loved and felt amazing in, which was the first one.
Maybe 1 person will agree with me-3rd is a charmer. Elegant, beautifully blingy, unique.
I do think the bride was pleased with the one she picked. It will catch the light beautifully.
welcome back to another episode of "its not your wedding!" 🙄🙄
Edit: thx for all the likes lol
Exactly 🙄
When I got married in 1974 my Mum helped me hem my dress (which I designed and made) and never said anything about whether she liked it or not...she wanted me to be happy. My second wedding a couple of decades later...same thing. She knew I knew my own mind.
I agree with you
@@CarolynMilburn what a wonderful mom you have
Another episode of mom should have stayed home
The first one was INCREDIBLE
The way the mum justifies herself by saying she’s been married for 26 years! But you only chose 1 wedding dress, 26 years ago then!
I’m pissed off that such a terrible person got married, maybe her husband sucks too.
I think she said she’s been “right” for 26 years, not married for it. I took that to mean she’s always been right for as long as her daughter has been alive
Right?!
This is exactly what I was thinking!
The ‘I want to speak to your manager’ is strong in this one.
That first dress was absolutely beautiful on her and suited the Hollywood glamour theme. Hate when the friends and family sway the decision.
That 1st dress was Stunning On her !!!! next two dresses I won't even Comment On. Soo very sad Mom's Gotta be this way !
the 1st one was the ONE. wish brides wouldn't let their entourage bully them out of an awesome dress to suit their personal agendas
im her mom and ive been right for 26 years THE AUDACITY
Dad is probably henpecked
The dress she chose looked like fire works, love that I've never seen a bride try this one on before.
Can they just start kicking out the moms/entourage members who bully and forget it's not about them or their day? I feel bad for so many of these brides that bring a support system that ends up ruining their day.
Hannah was radiant in Dress 1. She never regained that expression of delight in any of the other dresses.
When most of the mom’s say stuff like “I’m always right” makes me think what kind of people they probably are in real life.
the first dress was amazing and the beaded detail on the back gave that 1920s look and the last dress gave more new years eve so both were good
"sHe DoEsN't KnOw WhAt ShE lIkEs" as if the bride didnt have an entire list of requirements for the dress lol
She looked great in all three dresses but I say the first one suits the venue best. It has the old Hollywood feel and she liked it best.
She looked beyond beautiful in that first 1st dress, not too many women could wear it so well.
Sometimes mothers don't know best at all.
The first dress looked incredible on her
had the glamour she wanted
My daughter can wear whatever she chooses I only asked one thing, to make sure the girls are put away so they don't blind the Priest
That was my mother’s one request, too. Thankfully I got married just as illusion necklines were becoming trendy (2018). Everybody won with my dress!
adding the belt to that dress makes no difference whatsoever. what is this mother on? this is about power.
After being totally engaged in these videos, I will not have an extravagant wedding. 😅
The first one was beautiful and her body looked amazing
Love how the belt was just sitting on the table 🥰 that doesnt even go with the dress 🥰 The first dress looked amazing on her and was what she originally wanted 👌🏻
Hate the 'put a belt on/put a veil on' stupidity. That belt looked terrible on that dress. Prom time!
the belt totally ruined the lines of the dress and its design... clearly the bride wasn't happy with this dress..move over mom...
Totally agreed with mom on this one. The first one was more like a red carpet gown, not a dress. Guidance and blessing to all. Cheers Everybody!
She looked amazing in the first dress and it went really well with her theme. Sorry mom, but you were not right this time!
My mum was/is a tailoress/dressmaker. I knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding dress which she made for me. I had absolute NO problems with my lovely mother trying to highjack my choice so I really sympathise with this bride.
They should have put a veil on her for the first dress. I bet her mom would love it.
I don’t feel like she was ready to commit but they still asked the question. I’m underwhelmed by David
The first dress was gorgeous...she should have gotten that one.
First dress is so beautiful
Whenever I feel bad about my mom I come and watch these videos
That first dress looked AMAZING on her.
She's been with her fiance for 6 yrs why does moms dress opinion matter so much?
The First one was AMAZING. It was her as a grown woman, a wife, a woman who knows who she is and is confident in that. He body is fire and should not have been covered up. The others were super busy, completely swallowed her, and made her look like a child trying too hard to be a princess. I hope she rethinks the dress she was pressured into. Sometimes, you have to show people the depth and growth you've acquired from what they've once knew. They still see her as a girly young lady.
"Princesses" are SOOOO Overrated and not suited to REAL Life!
@@susanwalters7937 Not really, I'm 47 and if I get married I still want a sexy ballgown. Lots and lots of floofy tulle. I'm like 5'4 140lbs.
@@susanwalters7937 💝💝
The first dress was really a show stopper! I believe she never looked as gorgeous in her whole life and never will. The last dress was just okay, lovely but not more.
When I was married, my husband to be, picked the dress. It was beautiful, I wore it each anniversary for the first ten years. Your old enough to say yes, it's time to tell mom stay home..thanks.
The first dress was spectacular - just exactly right for the manor house old Hollywood glam + New Years party!! It was so special and unique
She looked amazing in the first dress. It fitted her perfectly. It was old Hollywood. The others were meh
I would absolutely love to go dress shopping with my daughter. And I would NEVER shoot down anything she chose. It's her day, after all. I don't understand these mothers who seem to enjoy making their daughters feel bad
It's showing the daughter the MOM IS IN CONTROL...of everything! Sad.
She looked stunning in the first
well, she clearly has allowed mom to have the main voice - for a long time.
Good! I am GLAD to hear that! :)
Mum being married for 26 years and being “right” about this has absolutely no bearing on her daughter’s choice.
1st dress was perfect for her venue, she will be back for it.
Who is going to pay? Wedding gowns are not cheap and they do not come off the rack they must be ordered months in advance, there may be a return policy but there will not be a full refund. Money matters are important.
I'm convinced some of these rude ass moms are just trying to hold on to the last possible shred of control they have over their kids. It's sad.
Yes. That is exactly what it is.
Perfect summary yes
You know it!! Very sad.
No that mom will continue right on after the wedding bullying the sil then controlling the grandchildren.
The first dress looked incredible on her-it was my favorite
Does nothing for her ? Extraordinary
She did look better in the first one
The Karen energy is strong with the mum bloody hell
Number three dress , she looked like a doll . It suited her old fashioned hair style .
I loved her in the first dress, she had a great figure, why hide it under a mountain of tulle?
Because MOM is insecure about being fat. Can't have her daughter looking better than her - even on her wedding day.
@@clwbchbabycakes EXACTLY. Mum is a bitter old COW.
Mum needs to dial it back and remember who is the one getting married! I really wish people would support the bride in her vision and put aside their own.
The 1st dress is amazing 🤩
That was stunning on her!!
Mom only didn't like it because it wasn't her way. That first dress was AMAZING
This kind of situation would drive me up the wall if I was an assistant in a bridal shop. I don’t think I could stay impartial if I saw a bride abandon her own vision and go for pleasing her Narc mother instead.
Plus the first two were way over budget.
From the time I saw the bride in the first dress and her mom said that she doesn't like anything about the dress I'm wondering if the wedding is the mom own because I know for a fact that the mom already have her day 26yrs ago and now it's time for her daughter to have her day and enjoy it
The first one was STUNNING! That mom needs some glasses or something!
Love the first dress . Mum it’s not your wedding it’s hers and her choice of dress !
The first dress was Perfection! Hope she doesn't regret settling on the last one. Mom needs to remember it's not her wedding or choice.
I think her mom was correct. The first dress did not flatter her. I loved the 2nd dress but I'm glad she found the 3rd. Her mom was right it needed the sash.
There's not an "always right" in a wedding dress. I think this is a great choice for New Years.
That belt was horrendous by interrupting the flow of the sparkles, but congratulations Mummy Dearest, you got your way about something.
From now on, whenever I complete anything I'm going to say "my work here is done".
“We know ur dying to try it on”. Tf hahahaha 😂 2:27
My granddaughters asked me to go wedding dress shopping with them. With each dress, I asked them these questions
1. Does it make you smile
2. Does it make you happy
3. Can you dance in it
Then I told them to try their favourite dresses on and close their eyes and then tell me what they felt when they opened their eyes.
I actually like the third dress best. She said she wanted sparkle and she got it. The first dress was lovely but I really liked her final choice.
