      @ Dawn Hogwart Yet Gok did this too. There was a bride who liked the first dress and was going to say yes, but her mom did not think it was appropriate for a church wedding. What did Gok do? He put the bride in a dress that was more conservative. So, yes, Gok WOULD do this.
      You forget that it was this bride's decision to keep going. It was this bride's decision to find a dress that was a good compromise and one that her step-mom liked better. And lastly, it was this bride's decision to pick the 3rd dress to wear as opposed to the 2nd one. Her step-mom did not put a gun to her head; she decides on her own.
      Sometimes the brides WANT other people to like their dress. It is not a crime. And if they themselves like the dress too (like this bride said multiple times), it is not David's fault.
      Considering she ultimately picked the 3rd dress over the 2nd one, I guess David did the right thing, yes? Otherwise, the bride would have gone back to the 2nd dress. Since she didn't, apparently SHE liked the dress too.

      My parents were up in age when they had me so when I got my 1st tattoo my mom was especially urinated off. It's a dolphin jumping through a ring of flowers, on my ankle, & not very large maybe 3" altogether. Then a butterfly on the back of my neck. She stopped saying anything the rest, all of them having meaning behind them. The only 1s she approved of is the memorial basically ½ sleeve I got for my husband (in profile pic) when he passed away. But I do agree with Fae hers is very feminine & doesn't need to be covered.

David should have just put a veil on her as a compromise for the step-mom. The veil would have covered the tattoo during the ceremony and after a few drinks at the reception, the step-mom would have forgotten all about the tattoo.😊

    I personally don't like the large back and shoulder tattoos but if a bride has one it's better to have a dress that frames and highlights it. When you go for a dress that is partly covering it with a mix of illusion material, buttons, appliques and lace it makes a cluttered almost dirty look to the back of the dress. She should have gone with the second dress. It was beautiful on her and the tattoo was framed nicely which made her back view look great.

All the traditional nonsense about needing to look like "a bride" and no one can wear black and no one can wear white either and no one can do this or that and blah blah blah... so silly, when the day should really be about the couple's life together. Not that there's anything wrong with brides who want a more traditional look. But many of us are not traditional in our daily lives and it's just absurd to make us pretend to be so we can essentially have a stranger's wedding portrait on our mantle. I will be getting married in a feminine-cut deep green velvet suit and pumps. My partner will probably be in a white jumpsuit, if we decide one of us really "needs" to be in white, that is :D

    Say it with me: The tattoo is a part of ME. MY wedding day should be a celebration of ALL of ME and the person who loves ALL of ME and our commitment to one another. Why should I hide myself under YOUR idea of femininity when THIS is what my future spouse has chosen to spend the rest of their life with?

    I feel like the stepmum has put down the girls confidence by making it a bad thing. The tattoo literally says "Diamonds Pearls" and means something to the bride, so make it seem like such a awful thing. When the bride was quiet as her stepmum spoke about disliking the tattoo and wanting it covered up, it was sad. She always covers it when she's around her and even on her own day she has to cover it. If that's what the bride wants then okay, but I just find that really mean, especially when David reacted with exaggeration 3:33, when he can't even find a dress within the budget.

    I've never understood parents who can't just let their children be who they are, especially at the kid's own wedding! If you have a kind, respectful child then that's really all that matters. Imagine prioritizing not seeing your child's tattoo (a physical image of something that matters to her) rather than just respecting her preferences. Because that's really what this is -- based on what she's said about the bride's tattoo during just this episode, she clearly does not respect the aspects of Hazelle's personality that aren't just a carbon copy of hers. My tattoos, piercings, dyed hair, and makeup are a representation of my personality that the world sees before even interacting with me and I love how my body modifications show off who I am. But if I had a child who preferred to wear a more conservative look with no makeup or body mods, I wouldn't ever urge them to throw on some Amy Winehouse eyeliner and temporary tattoos for their big day just because it's more like me. And certainly wouldn't go on embarrassing, melodramatic rants about how much I hate their appearance in front of everyone, including a rolling camera.

    The third one: the only thing that I think bothers me about the back is that it cuts the tattoo in half. It needs to be either all exposed or all "under the mesh". I wonder if it would be possible to add a bit more mesh at the top so that the mesh covers the whole thing, at least creating a little bit less jarring effect on the whole tattoo. It would still be visible but all visible to the same extent.

      The bride has eyes. And each dress has a price tag on it. She would have known how much it was if she wanted to know. The whole last part about asking how much it is and the consultant telling her who designed it and the price is all for show. Remember it is a produced show for drama. See how you thinking the bride didn't know the price yet adds to the drama? Don't let yourself be manipulated like that.

    I'm in the middle. She should've gone with the second dress. Though the third is very nice as well. She wanted to be Monroe and that's what she said she felt like. It should be about her and her groom, not the stepmom. Though I'm happy to see she has a healthy relationship with her stepmom and wants to be respectful to her.

      It's sweet she wants to please her family but I wouldn't really call this a healthy relationship. If someone is repeatedly making digs about how much they hate your appearance then it's not a healthy relationship, they're bullying you and you're letting them to keep the peace or because you care about them and don't want to hurt their feelings by asking them to respect you.

    You could tell the bride was disappointed by the third dress and wasn't covinced. You can tell by her face and body language. She was trying to please her stepmother instead of herself. In the end, it's her wedding and she should be able to wear what she wants. Hope she went back and got the dress that her heart cried out for or something similar

    • @joyfuljaj
      @joyfuljaj 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      and I mean the distracting part as in, sometimes if the tattoo is partially covered, there could be more focus on it because people wonder what it is. What to do with a tattoo could be difficult because while it is "part" of the bride and should not be a problem, you don't really want the tattoo to take all the attention either. I'm not into tattoos myself, but I see no reason for someone with a nice one to cover it up for her wedding.
