Also, I want to fit resistance training upper body and lower body in my workout schedule with hiit twice a week as well. Thanks 🙂
Bfr bands!! I got mine from Nami athletica, they’re so good they make my 20 pound dumbbell feel so much heavier than it is!! Love them for a more intense home workout 🥰

I think that, regarding the amount of “rest” and “rest days”. I am from sweden also, and I went to a athletic high school, which mean we have 2 extra hours every day for a sport that you try to excel in. So just in school we had 10 hours per week, outside school we also ( most of us ) had our own teams or own practices for exercising. So pretty much an ordinary week for me when I was 13 to 19 in the amount of sessions, varying team-plays, cardio and strength, was mon:2, tue:2, wed:3, thu:2, fri:1, sat:1, sun:1. Not everybody were athletic students so they maybe only had practice after school or the only exercise they had was the PE during school. So the amount of rest varies immensely between youth due to that some wants to become athletes and other just want to go by and thinks it fun or not. When you get older, you realise if you want to continue with sport or not. And it is a big different between 14 sessions of gym or 14 sessions of varied workouts. Hence it seems that we work out less when we get older, but it is the type of workouts that changes. Other types of workouts will strain the body more than others.

Though I've never used it, from observation, this BB machine offers greater motion range as you are not being stopped by the ground (you can deeper) and also, I would imagine it increases time under tension as you are never truly resetting but resting the weights on the ground. I have a feeling it would be comparable to doing elevated hip thrusts
Barbell backsquats hit legs, never glutes. Single leg deadlifts, sandbag good morning deadlifts and kneel pumps hit glutes. Front loaded movements target back muscles for balance.
Do you find the BB machine way easier to lift heavier? I lift 150kgs and could never do that with the free bar, probably because it's easier to get under and on vs the bar but I wonder if it's easier for others and perhaps isn't hitting the glutes as well as the bar🤷♀️
The bar on the smith machine is much lighter than a standard barbell. You would need to add additional weights on the smith machine for it to be the same weight as what you would typically lift on a barbell. The smith machine is much easier because the machine moves the bar in a straight line for you. Where as using a traditional barbell you need greater mind to muscle connection and greater utilization of core. There is nothing guiding the bar for you making the exercise more challenging than the smith machine.
@@jasminemarie2015 I'm talking about the hip thrust/ booty builder. I understand the Olympic bars are typically 20kg but even accounting for that I still lift way more on the machine vs bar...weird

train them to failure,while using the waights you have, more reps then what you would usaly do in a gym with heavyer weigts :)

U need to adjust the machines. Lower the back ext and round your back so u get more glutes
