I think comparing detail density between the God Gundam and the Hi-Nu Gundam isn't as comparable as you'd think. Sure the God Gundam has more per square millimeter but at that density on a bigger suit like the Hi-Nu it would end up looking extremely busy. Their detail levels are proportional to where it's a lot but not too much.
Very fair. The RX-78F00 is an over panel lined mess, especially when you look at the shield. It’s not a bad design by any means, but it’s just a little too much
True that, but I mean from a technical and engineering standpoint Bandai have raised the bar. It probably would have been a better made point if I compared it to the crossbone in that regard. The RG God even beats out the crossbone when it comes to parts/detail per mm, which is ridiculous.
Yeah, not just insanity like the old HGEX God (the 1/60th one from the 90s) but still awesome. I NEED IT. (Both the HGEX and RG God Gundam)
@@MechaGaikotsu yes the cross one would be a great comparison, as they are both modern RGs in fairness you could have also used force impulse aswell!
@@MechaGaikotsu omg, the crossbone was my first kit, I had a mental breakdown but it was fun, it’s one of my favorite mobile suits
This was the first RG I built and because of the detail I thought all RGs were going to be as detailed as this. This was one of the first hard truths I learned about gunpla

Pro tip Mecha: If you're impatient with Bandai's release of waterslide decals, I suggest checking out Delpi Decal. They usually release waterslide decals faster that Bandai, and the quality can rival that of Bandai's

I was waiting for you to release this review and im not disappointed as per usual, great vid! Also, usually what I like to do with the decals is trim off small pieces to either fit the part better or make it so the stickers don't overlap. While it's a bit time consuming, it does help a lot if you don't plan on buying water slides (though i should really try getting some soon)
I didn't get RG Hi Nu right away last year until I saw the review and don't regret it at all !And now the same is happening with me again....After seeing this video I must hunt one down now. Awesome review cheers!

Wow! the RG God Gundam’s articulation is absolutely amazing, thank you Bandai for another amazing RG Gundam kit.
even if there might not be a Gundam that can rival the God in the realm of hyper articulation, Bandai's ability to consistently push the envelope with each new Real Grade, to the point where just about every new mold release since the Unicorn has been Gundarium Tier, I wouldn't be surprised if the next RG to follow this one still achieves that one way or another. Perhaps not as articulated as the God, but to match the Nu/Hi-Nu and pack enough heat to stand on it's own, I can very well see it happening. Even if the next release is something smaller like the Gundam Ground Type or the Gouf that was teased AGES ago.

I wasn't the biggest fan of G Gundam but a real grade God Gundam looks sick as hell. Time to add it to my collection.

I have one on pre-order (since the Hi-Nu was sold out so fast I didn't get one... hoping a restock comes soon) so I am excited to get it soon.

I was kinda hesitant on wanting to get this because of size but after seeing the detail and all what’s comes with it I’m sold! I need a RG God Gundam!!
In any other kit, weak arms would be a huge problem but luckily, the God Gundam never has to hold anything heavier than a beam saber in it's hands and it looks cooler with just the god finger anyway. Imagine if those arms were on a gundam that had a rifle and shield. Would be pretty bad.
I can’t wait to grab my own soon! Always hoping for a RG heavy arms endless waltz or a RG 2.0 for the much needed like the zeta. Poor guy hasn’t had a good run, even the HG isn’t that good anymore :(
Good luck. I pre-ordered mine at the start of April, but the demand is so high I did not make the cut. HLJ ran out while fulfilling even earlier pre-orders. Waiting for Bandai to supply another batch.

@@paulsia2231 they did manage to do that on MG Dynames, so I believe that they would make it fully transformable. The HG is 12 years old and the Robot Damashii wasn't a kit. Gundam Universe is a cheaper line so they didn't bother include it. But RG is the line where Bandai take care of it the most so yeah, that would be possible
Yeah, usually the RG line has the lead Gundams vs rival suits pattern going on. Or some cases, the lead Gundams starting from default to final upgrade.

I have the Hi-Nu RG, and I will say; the only thing I didn't like about the Hi-Nu is that the colors of the design I'm just not too fond of. The God Gundam, though, is one of my favorite designs overall and this kit has me so excited. I want to get this so badly because the articulation in this kit is absolutely unprecedented... it's amazing. This kit definitely needs some decals though because the RG style decals with this design is probably my favorite of the RG line.
I wasn't gonna buy this kit at first, but I think you might've convinced me. It looks too good.

@Honey Thunder I would get it but probably won’t see it in stock for months like what happened with the hi nu or nu Gundam but at the same time never been a huge G Gundam person the fighting super robot thing about it always kept me away from it sure they look cool though so idk if I’ll get it it’s a want but not a need

just build this yesterday and yes the arm feels a little weaker. the rest of the kit are super solid!

I guess the only next logical progression is to make a RG Master Gundam to pair it up with, probably HGFC kits of the Shuffle Alliance Gundams too.

RGs are the best designed and engineered kits at the moment but MG is still the overall best IMO. The lack of new MGs is demoralising.
I'll always be a MG stan at heart, so the lack of releases is a huge bummer
@@MechaGaikotsu i have to wonder if the RG line represents gunplas biggest audience, millennials. Gunpla exploded in the US in the late 90s with early MGs and i dont know if gen X likes gunpla(or plastic models) as much over here (in the US at least). RG's fit in with an older persons collection where you may not have as much space. imo.

The banana is the best kit I have ever built! It was highly detailed and it had the best and most realistic texture ever. Articulation sucks though, it can be stiff or tender. It’s can be easy to break.
The part where say "A Banana" at the side made laugh really hard (lol)

I found rg god gundam ready stock at my local hobby store.. I can see at least 40box at the store. So I buy 2 of it..
i’m building this currently (my third gunpla) and i’m on the arms currently and i just found out the legs can open up to show thrusters, i never wouldve tried this without you mentioning
Even if it'd be too expensive to have a tiny bit of green or red molded on a spru, if they took the initiative to say "every new model gets an eye stalk, they they could use a universal mold, print them in mass, and include them in a baggie.
The first time I ever bought a real grade I didn’t know what I was buying I was a little upset at how small it was but when I got to the detail I was blown away I ended up getting the crossbone Gundam and his mouth opens I mean my Gawd, RG it’s definitely King in the area of detail even over master grade imo, RG is the future my only gripe is the inconsistency in size when you compare models meaning it’s not actually accurate at least to my knowledge.
My first RG was the wing zero and it turned out nice but it’s starting to have ERGS but I built the RG Hi Nu build was awesome showed it to my parents and they went holy shit on how beautiful it looks I’m hoping the earlier RGs get a 2.0 like the GP01 etc but I’ll most likely stick with HG or MG because there’s more selection to it but that does not mean I’d not hate RG I’ll still get one from time to time probably next one I’ll try is the MK2 or Nu Gundam
I think they are all actually in scale, atlest with eachother because RG is "Real" Grade therefore the concept is "If these mecha's exist IRL, what would it look like?" so if you don't follow the Anime Scale then the measurements are indeed correct.
If i remember correctly, Bandai did make color seperated eyes part and it was on the RG Freedom Gundam Ver GCP

Good review. I have this sitting on HLJ's warehouse until my other order, the RG GaoGaiGar, arrives. I also plan on doing water decals instead of stickers as well since I had this kit preplanned for its build-out. I'm not sure about custom colors but I think I'll leave it at stock and airbrush a clear matt coat once I got everything settled.
I know it's not related to Gundam/GunPla but since I saw Bandai is also doing RG GaoGaiGar, I jumped on it and pre-ordered. Will you be getting that to check out or are you strictly all Gundam? I'd like to see you do GaoGaiGar to hear what you think of it.

The only RG I had a problem with was the Johnny Ridden high mobility zaku. It kept losing parts even when I didn’t even touch it. 😱

I know that the stickers aren't great but given how much I struggle to go back to a kit I've built I would end up getting the waterslides and never using them. Besides I will never see the borders when they're all displayed together on a shelf unless I decide to actively look for them.

Welp, the new king of articulation is finally here. Mine has been on preorder for almost a year. I'm most certainly going to wait on some waterslides from Delpi. Those Bandai stickers are pretty terrible.

I finsh building mine today but accidentally broke one of his v fins on the head. Still love it to death my old hg god gundam can get a well deserved rest.
Had mine on early pre-order from HLJ since March. Sad that mine got delayed due to the demand. Still looking forward for it nonetheless.
My two gripes on this kit: missing "God Finger" left hand, and not enough hand effect parts (particularly one for the Sekiha Tenkyo God Finger attack, which is different from the Sekiha Tenkyoken)
