- Several of you requested a video on how I created my Art Journal Advent flip journal. Here it is! I’ll show you how to build an interactive flip book/journal using promotional mailers and brochures. I’m just winging it as you will see, but that’s how it goes when you use what you have on hand!

I brought home a lot of brochures from a recent trip and this will be a great project to bind them together. I won't need to decorate everything because I'm using things I actually want to see. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
That could be so cool to mix journal pages in with the brohcures you want to keep. Love that idea!
I am a new sub (I follow you on Instagram) and I just have to commend you for doing all of that sewing without cursing! LOL I'd not be able to do that without A LOT of bleeps! Thank you for sharing this with us. I've been making my own journals for a couple of years now. I do usually use mixed media or WC paper, but have recently been wanting to do a "junk" journal with all of the crap I've been hoarding for so long. I appreciate your channel very much. Thanks so much! The power of editing allowed me to cut some of my choice language!! LOL!! Seriously, it wasn't too bad. Just clunky and I cannot tie a knot to save my life. Those moments had to be heavily editied!! Thanks for your kind words. :)
Absolutely amazing I have been using these kinds of junk mail because during our election time we get so much. I don't really get quite as many trifolds but I treasure them when I do. And I will be making one of these things it is a great way to do an art Journal because it is so sturdy. And I have never done an art Journal maybe this is the year. I agree with the comment below. I learned a lot too. I used to do a 3 hole pamphlet. I watched your video while binding with 4 stitches. It is a better look and more stable. Thanks!
Thank you! I think three holes works if your pages are all the same size but when you have some small pages mixed in, I find you really need four to hold them well.

Fun project Erin!! I receive so many brochures from a cruise I took on NatGeo. Quality paper but heavens! Why so many?! Lol
I’d love to watch how you managed to paint those glossy papers so brilliantly!
Thank you! I often simply cover the entire page I'm working on with painted paper. That solves the glossy page issue. I'll try to film some of the pages as I create them. We can experiment with how paint works out on glossy paper.
I made one of these tonight! I found a brochure that’s a five-part fold out for the cover. I can’t wait to use it! I want to find a prompt list that I can use now. ❤
