I was so happy to see a new video from you today! Love the ATC’s! I have been struggling to lately, and haven’t been able to finish anything.
I'm sorry to hear that. I just don't like anything I do and that makes me less inclined to do anything. But I think i'm getting a bit better. Spent some time arting today and it was actually really nice.
Love this color palette! Your ATCs turned out so beautifully! You’ve inspired me to play today and do this master board technique. I’m in NH. So tired of power outages for the past few weeks. I have an automated generator but it provides only critical power and my art space isn’t on it. 😢 Several losses with this last storm which includes an 80’ hemlock in my backyard. Ugh. Counting my blessings though since no damage to us or the home. I had to laugh when you tried the heat gun. So frustrating when you continue to flip light switches on out of habit.
It was not fun! And I too was so worried about trees hitting the house through all of it. We had a close call last winter! So many branches and twigs down though and pine cones too. Will take a lot of raking to clean it all up. But it seems as if spring has finally sprung so I'm happy for that!!
They turned out very pretty and I love watching your process. I'm going to make my first set of atc's today blessings and love from New Mexico

Really enjoyed this, I've been into circles, lately, too. You might be able to thicken your pink paint by putting the bottle into a pan of boiling water and let it simmer for a while. I do it for my art glitter glue when it comes in a bit thin from the store. It takes about an hour but it slowly boils off the extra water that's in it. Paint (or glue ) batches/lots can be different just depending on the day it was manufactured, the ingredients being a bit different, etc. Learned this from my dh who worked in quality control for a paint company many years ago. That's why when I paint a big area, like a room, I get all the paint at the same time in the hope it all came from the same batch/lot. Just watch that the paint bottle, itself, doesn't get too soft as they seem to be making the plastic bottles thinner.

It's good to see you back on youtube. My crafting mojo has left me temporarily. I understand trying to work with no power. Living in the south, with hurricanes and flooding. It's not easy dealing with all the weather throws at you. Have a great day though.
Sande - "working with no power" 😅 I first read that relating it to lack of mojo. I like the concept tho - as in, keep creating, in whatever form, and trust our inner power will come on again🎉. I think a lot of us are struggling with this now 🎈

Hi Erin!! So glad to see you on YT again. I love creating Artist Trading Cards and enjoyed watching you create yours. The colors you like are also my favs. Great video. I am interested in the stickers you put on the back of your ATCs. Did you create them yourself or order from someone??
I made them on the computer then printed them onto a full size 8.5 x 11 piece of label paper. Then cut and stick.
@@eb_mixedmedia Thank you so much, Erin. I think I'm going to do this also. The ones I've been using have been a pain!! Yours are so neat and compact. They don't have to take up the whole backside which eliminates all the trimming, etc. Thanks again!!
Oh, one more thing please. I am trying to make your florals from the class that you so generously offered for free. I’m having a very difficult time trying to find a bold black jelly pen. Do you have a source by any chance?
I use a Sakura gelly roll pen. I papermate flair also gives a nice thick line for outlining.

What is the “nerf dart” (?) that you used to make orange dots?
It’s a foam dart from one of my kids nerf guns. It has a round plastic tip that is perfect for making dots/circles.

So how and who do you trade these cards.
There are some organized ATC groups on Instagram and Facebook. Artists often send "happy mail" to fellow artists and might include an ATC in that. Some people just ask if they can trade with others or start their own group of a few people. I belonged to one for a year or so and there were like 300 people in it. It was so much work for the woman organizing it she eventually had to give it up. Fodder School sometimes does a trade as well.

Could you tell us more about your labels? I think that's a great idea for swaps!
