I really loved this. I keep having a strong debate about whether or not to get the Unyielding Warpack or Spend the extra money on the Mechanical Mayhem Warpack. The lore is really cool and they feel like and look like Space Dwarves should, it's a great feeling and I would definitely proxy them if I was playing Votann in 40K, even if the base sizes don't match I don't care people can't get in the way of my fun. I think I will go with the Unyielding if there are add-ons of Immari stuff that I like. I don't know they're just so damn cool. Also, please get Baldermort to do more of the Lore, he's such a wizard at narrating a story.
Funnily enough, since their design precedes the Votann reveal, they actually seem to have been designed to proxy Space Marines (if a little more loosely than VT for Chaos). Notice the bolt pistol on one of the HQs, the way the weapon loadouts work out on most of the bigger mechs, etc...
I think future versions ought to have heftier hafts on their weapons. You can see how the Not-A-King's axe has warped/been bent by the weight of the large head on it. The hafts are just a little thin regardless for weapons of that size.
I hope there is generic versions of all the named models as well. So the Named ones can have a bit extra yet cost. Those sideways crests are getting fixed :) Look at the AT-802U Sky Warden as a Civvy Aircraft turned War Machine :)
The eventual goal is retail. Our current focus is getting this campaign out there, so the initial push helps fuel retail and continual production. We're kickstarting this in the traditional sense.
Is the intention to at some point have Ravaged Star models just for purchase? I'd love to get some but it is honestly difficult for me to spend a lot now for something a year from now.
Just found out yous had launched your own game, and the models are look awesome! Also, Ryan is a better painter than me already, and I have been painting (badly) since 2002.
I know thie current situation is that yall are going for pedges and donations to help push the game out. I unfortunately cant assist in that at the moment but i sure hope these go into retail so i can get some some of the models. There's a local independent gaming/anime club I go to that I will mention this to them. About half the people that go to the store plays some form of table top miniature wargame (40k being the main one).
I appreciate your enthusiasm but I guess I was expecting a more organized lore video. Your excitement, though warranted, I found too distracting and the tangents made things hard to follow. Is there a written history of this lore that I can read so I can get a better understanding of this faction?
