    People criticizing Mitch for analyzing someone that won more titles than him, should understand that he is not saying Brian was a bad athlete, just that he could've improved some things to do even better, also Mitch won the title while being probably 100+ pounds lighter than Brian, so he probably understand how to perform a bit more optimally than most people.

    I think everyone including old Brian knew that this diet was terrible for you, but the idea of it was to put on size quickly so he could become competitive. Once he reached that goal he could then stabilize and dial it back and eat healthier. If you’re trying to get to 400+ pounds and you’re eating controlled and healthy, it’s going to take you nearly a decade to get there.

    With the disclaimer that it's been a long time since I've looked at the research, saying saturated fat is bad in incorrect. It certainly is unhealthy one starts to get 20% of our caloric intake from saturated fat, but it also stands to reason that we do need a degree of it. As per WHO recommendations, 10% of our caloric intake is the maximum recommended amount. (And I won't even get into distinguishing between saturated fat derived from various sources, such as milk vs cheese.)

    • @xSpecterx99999999
      @xSpecterx99999999 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Good point, I found this info on why eggs are good even though they have saturated fats: Provides Healthy Fats
      While eggs do contain saturated fat, they also provide both polyunsaturated fat and monounsaturated fat, which are considered "good" fats because they help you lower your LDL or "bad" cholesterol while boosting heart health. The American Heart Association recommends limiting saturated fats to about 13 grams per day if you typically consume about 2,000 calories daily.

    The criticism that its ridiculously unhealthy is accurate but Brian seems to just be maximizing calories in at the cost of everything else - which is a valid strategy - and in that sense, no, you can't even touch fruits or vegetables. They're too low-calorie. And the huge amount of sugar is clever because as mitch says in the beginnig, if you can't digest the food it's wasted anyways, but sugar basically requires no digestion at all, in fact you even absorb it through the mucous membrane in your mouth before even swallowing.

    I'm not an expert and can be wrong. It is just a humble and respectful opinion. Obviously eating that much is not healthy but more important I don't think this can be done naturally. First, weights is not a sport that make you hungry to eat that much. Second I don't think someone can be hungry every 3-4 hrs, especially eating what it is in each meal.
    It is a big mystery because only just few are open to speak of what juices they take to be such athletes and live the way they live. Aside the supplements, food, training there must be something else that athletes that eat like that take in order for their bodies to process so much food. Liver, kidneys, pancreas are small organs that are processing food and nutrients, including glucose, protein, etc. I find literally impossible to process so much in such small organs and in just few hours, so you can be hungry and ready for the next meal.
    Sorry but I don't believe someone can eat that much, including taking so many supps without taking something else that it is is not mentioned...perhaps insulin and other juices that speed up the metabolism?. I think we all agreed that it is not healthy and I don't think it is natural that someone weighs 200Kg
    Mitch, I STRONGLY and believe it would be VERY interesting if you comment on this and perhaps do a video speaking about it....
    I am not judging anyone, I think it is very important for educational reasons. I think it is important create your own expectations as to what can be accomplished naturally and with drugs.
