The fact Eddie or thor was never paid is absolutely disgusting and disappointing
And expected. I am happy that Eddie and Thor can absorb the lack of payment and not ruin their lives. I am also happy that these two events are hopefully going to give people pause when trying to grab the bag from the Saudi

It was legitimately scary. The slam and knockout each could easily of caused some permanent or even fatal damage. You could tell that Eddie is so hyper competitive and intense that he was genuinely frustrated by them just running away for 2 rounds so that the first knockout happened basically off of instinct. However, when it came back to the last stopage, it was obvious that Eddie was trying not to hurt him too seriously and was just looking at the ref like "hey, you gonna save this guy now?" Interesting to see once, but I never need to see something like it again.

Larry said he thought Eddie had no chance against thor in their boxing match in a video. Eddie called him out on it at some expo, Eddie was upset because he thought Larry was a friend. Eddie or Larry said to put some money on it and neither backed down. I like eddie but Larry didn't shit himself or embarrass himself in any way.I think if people want to find the footage that's the gist of what they will see.

I feel like most of this and others is your narrative rather than inquisitive interactions and I would have enjoyed you interviewing Eddie about his fights (the lead up, preparation, what happened in detail after, has he talked to Thor, his injuries, mindset, goals, day in the life etc.

Apparently Eddie did a 1 vs 2 MMA fight against two other smaller guys. Eddie won after tossing one guy to the ground and connecting with a punch dropping the other guy. Grats to Eddie, hopefully he got paid for that unusual ruleset fight.

If you paid attention to what Eddie and Brian were talking about you would know they were saying how people will say hateful things online BUT never to your face.
The difference here is that Eddie had ZERO issues saying anything to Thor's face. Anything Eddie said in a video, he would happily say to Thor.

Eddie not getting paid for that fight is ridiculous. Eddie your awesome for not holding a resentment and learning from it. Both of you’ve clearly have had amazing success , I strive to do the same. Lost real estate deals etc very relatable podcast you guys have a lot more to offer than fights. I’d watch the fight obviously but spending a day with you all would be way more priceless than that. Even watching another season of strongest man in history.
You hit the nail on the head about people who post negative comments. I tell my kids that all of the time. Someone who wants to talk bad about you is very unhappy with themselves and trying to make themselves feel better by bringing you down. But the online tough guys are just that. They would never have the balls to say anything to your face.

Well it really depends doesnt it. If someone is just being honest, with no hate ment in the comment and just telling it as it is. A fact is a fact and you cannot tell intonation or actual intent from written words most of the time. It is very easy to misunderstand or to impose your own misunderstanding on the words someone else has written because you believe they are being negative. People who write things like "you're mad" for example when the person is probably aboslutely chill and just being objective.

Absolutely amazing podcast. Mike Tyson said it best "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face" That is the decider. How do you compose yourself after you have been punched in the face. Some people can, some people can't.
These men are expressions of human excellence.
As an armwrestler I must say... It's not just about strength and technique. It has a lot to do with connective tissues, especially tendons which takes up to 6 weeks to completely recover and mature. We're always on the brink of breaking and snapping. It involves a lot of pain too in other areas. I couldn't benchpress or lift a grocery bag over my head for a whole year because it hurt too much. I guess it's just like strongman but very concentrated in the upper body/arms. But it's an amazing sport and the community is great. I think anyone can have a blast in it.
