oil pan drain plug stripped. Fixed using oversized plug and o-ring

2006 honda pilot with aluminum oil pan. drain plug stripped out. fixed using oversized drain plug and o-ring. will this be a permanent fix? only time will tell, but from now on I will change the oil myself.
