    Great video, I have everything I need to make this cocktail sat on my shelves this evening. I must admit that it’s one of the great things about your cocktails is that the ingredients are readily available. Unicorn tears are a nightmare to get hold of! I do lot of preparation for a home bar tending shift (serving family) so making things with acid, distilling liquids until clear and running fruit leather through dehydration machines is a bit of a chew on. Especially later in the evening when I’ve had a few!!

    I'll have to try this one and saee what the absinthe brings to the table. I'm not normally a whisky sour drinker but the absinthe intrigues me! Love the fact you hardly make mistakes when making the actual drink, all the outtakes come from the intro and outro haha

    • @RuairiGilles
      @RuairiGilles 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, I’ve been making drinks a lot longer than talking on camera 🤣

    I just made this and really enjoyed it. I prefer the 5ml for the Absinthe. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. I would greatly appreciate if you could include the ingredients in the description.

    Love the swap for something we all can get in the stores :P Will try it this weekend with the Woodford!

      Woodford do a decent rye as well, but I was pretty happy with the bourbon version 👍🏼

    I like this one. Oh and if you do end up with yolk in the tin(home), call it a golden sour... Quite good. Fun how the tasting in the video started with a full glass on then only a sip left. Guess it was really good.

    I think Id drop and then drag the Ango to create fangs for the garnish. Probably easier to get right and it will let you go light on the ango if you want

      Its kinda like a final ward where you replace maraschino liquor with simple and egg white just with different specs.

    Nothing wrong with multiple Harry Craddock drinks. Or any kind of well made sour :)

    You don't lose your liquor if you drop the yolk in, it just becomes a flip!

    Amazing, how people react. You use the whiskey you want to use. Sheesh! If COVID didn't teach us anything, use what you have in home.

    I'm one of those whose a bit of a nutter for whiskey sours (and Manhattans.) If you find a standard whiskey sour too cloying, why not reduce the amount of simple syrup and/or egg white in your recipe?
