A minor correction regarding the last cocktail, the Elder Fashioned... There are two popular recipes for the Elder Fashioned each calling for alternate base spirits. Phil Ward of Death & Co, New York City created his Elder-Fashioned with Plymouth gin in 2007 and Simon Difford used bourbon whiskey whilst at The Cabinet Room in London the year prior. I mentioned the bourbon whiskey version was by Phil Ward... but this is wrong. eek!
There's a great cocktail with St germain you should try. It's called the Cure: 30ml Hendrick's gin (1oz) 15ml St germain (0.5oz) 15ml lemon juice (0.5oz) 10ml simple syrup (0.33oz) Dry shake with cucumber slices Gently top with prosecco or champagne.
The recipe you showed on screen was different to what you said/made (the recipe says 1 dash bitters, but you went with 2). Can you please clarify which is “correct”/whether you think it’s better one way or the other?
2 oz whiskey 1 oz Lemon juice 3/4 oz st germain Shake and serve over ice in rocks glass. Sometimes garnish with lemon wheel or mint A bartender made me this drink in Austin Texas and I’ve remade it at home so much times it is so delicious! He called it a Whiskey Margarita but I call it a Special Arnold Palmer because it takes like tea and lemonade!! The best 🥰
Love me some St Germain. It can be the “secret sauce” in so many cocktails. And I agree it pairs so well with cucumber. Gin base is also a favorite pairing of mine. Just came up with this one that I enjoyed last night (no name yet): 2oz Hendricks Gin 1oz St Germain 1/2 oz. Kaz Spiced Honey Liquor (it’s a locally distilled spirit) 3/4 oz lemon juice Muddled blueberries (about 10 berries) Muddled Mint leaves (about 5) Cheers!
I was showing the shift bartender the cocktail for the evening. I shook the drink smiled. And said make sure you smile. They said why do I have to smile? And I told them BECAUSE IT'S PART OF THE RECIPE! 🤌 And you put on your smile when you come to work. Or stay home! Thanks steve. Great work. Keep smiling
My wife's wedding cocktail that she had available to everyone was the Rose Garden: glass of sauvignon blanc with a shot of elderflower and dash of grenadine syrup. Deliciously sweet and very light and aromatic!
Learning to make my own cocktails and after seeing this, I decided to get a small bottle of this liqueur. Decided to start with the gimlet and all I can say is wow! Sweet, herbaceous, floral and refreshing. Used Tanqueray Gin if anyone was curious.
Love when you make vids like this that justify me buying a bottle of something in the past for one cocktail 😂 also good to see Jameson used as I haven't seen many cocktails to specifically ask for Irish Whiskey
At Houston's restaurant in California, had their elderflower cocktail which was just champagne, elderflower liquor, with an orange twist. It was so refreshing, would go great with dessert crepes.
I've made the Sunflower and the Irish Maid already. Both excellent! I find them both to be a bit on the sweet side, but they were so delicious that I quickly stopped worrying about it. Selfishly, I'll promote one of my original cocktails that used St~Germain, as I think it came out really well. Keichō Embassy 1 1/2 oz Suntory Toki Japanese whisky 1/2 oz St~Germain 1/4 oz Yellow Chartreuse 1 oz Fuji apple juice 1/2 oz Lemon juice Shake, strain, coupe, no garnish.
Just in time! Just got a bottle of this the other day and have been looking for some good recipes. Can’t wait to try some of these! If you’re lookin for another video idea, doing something similar with Domaine de Canton would be clutch 👀
In the USA (I'm in the Boston area) unfiltered pressed apple juice we call cider....if it's fermented (has alcohol) we refer to it as "hard cider". Cheers.
In England, cider is also the fermented juice of apples. It is also almost always alcoholic, but you may occasionally see bottles where the alcohol has been removed to below 0.5% ABV, and it has been re-carbonated. In the US, where I now live, cider is unpasteurized, unfiltered apple juice, and it can be hard or soft. It will naturally ferment and turn into what the rest of the world calls cider.
Surprised to see my personal favourite is not on here. Elderflower martini: Muddle a lime in shaker. 45ml vodka 30ml St. Germaine 15ml Dry Vermouth Shake well n serve!
My favorite Is the Golden Goose. 2oz Vodka, 1oz St Ger, 3/4 oz lime, topped off with a splash of lemon lime soda. Great summer time by the lake kind of drink!

BTW really appreciate all the details and recipes included in the description section. You go the extra mile and have become my #1 social media bartender hands down.
Loved this one, will be buying that bottle. Big fan of okd fashioned variations. Had and old fashioned christmas party which was just pizza followed by 5 variations of the cocktail .. the one that stood out was the brandy version.

I gotta say, you are my favorite bartender on YT, but when you shake and give your bartender smile, I just melt 😁👍😍 BTW, I do love St. Germaine, mostly for the fragrance. How about some Domaine de Canton cocktails? Ginger cocktails are classic
Love making GT variants with a ratio of 4 gin 1 st germain 1 ruby red grapefruit juice, lots of ice, a slice of grapefruit, top with either an elderflower tonic or feevertree medeterraiean tonic and top with .5 campari
The Elder Basil Smash! Muddle 6-8 basil leaves. Add 6cl vodka, 3cl St Germain, 2cl lime juice, 1cl simple syrup. Shake it and dump in a glass! Beauuuuutiful in the summer.😊👍
St, Germain , definitely the best Elderflower lq going around! Great video , as soon as I my old taste buds are working again ,(hope no one else watching this had the covid side effect ) I'll be giving all them a go .
Hi Steve! These 7 cocktaiIs will keep me busy for a while because they all sound delicious. I love St. Germain and always have a bottle on hand. It's a great addition to a Gin & Tonic (2 parts gin to 1 part St. Germain) or in a French 75 (3 parts Gin to 1 part St. Germain plus sparkling wine and lemon juice. I leave out the simple syrup.)

My personal favorite is a combination of a shot of vodka, half a shot of st. germain, half a shot of lemon juice, one shot of tonic water, and a dash of angostura bitters. Tastes like a lychee drink but with no lychee in it, and perfect for the summers.
Mojito Parisien: By Simon Difford. Built in the glass (Collins glass). 12 Mint Leaves (lightly muddled) 60ml (2oz) Bacardi Carta Blanca, 45ml (1 1/2oz) St Germain, 30 ml (1oz) Lime juice. Half fill glass with crushed ice, churn ingredients, top with more crushed ice, churn again serve with a straw garnished with a mint sprig. One of my go-to drinks is an English Martini. I've seen different proportions, but I prefer to use the classic martini blend of 5:1. Strip the leaves off a sprig of rosemary into a mixing glass. 2 1/2 oz. gin, .5 oz St. Germain. Muddle the rosemary. Add ice. Stir. Strain. Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary.
Thanks for this. I've been staring at this bottle every time I go to the liquor store, knowing I'd seen it called for in a couple of recipes but couldn't recall which. Having them all here in one place is just the push I needed!
My friends and i created a simple drink with ST. Germain called a 3G (or a Triple G) Consist of 2 ounces of Gin, half ounce of St. Germain and topped off with Gingerale. Garnish with lime wheel or wedge. Quite the crowd pleaser. For a different flavor you can sub the St. germain with Galliano.
Not sure where my boyfriend found it, but we love a cocktail called Skeleton Key. It’s made with 1.25oz bourbon, .75oz St. Germain, .5oz lemon juice, 6-8 dashes of angostura bitters, and topped with ginger beer. Garnish with a maraschino cherry. It’s sooooo good and refreshing.
I'm running out of room in my bar, but this is a pretty good justification for buying a bottle of st Germain since i own all other ingredients outside of pear juice.
Love almost all cocktails that contain cucumber, that green, fresh cut lawn, grassy note makes it taste healthy and who don't like the smell of fresh cut grass in the summer 😂
Never tried St Germain before, but all of those sound like excellent cocktails. Let them know their sponsorship worked. Next time I'm at the liquor store, one of those bottles will definitely be in my cart.

Also gets an amazing color.

Always considered buying this bottle for a few cocktails, but it's pretty dang expensive here in these parts (central Canada) for such a unique ingredient.
I'm no Steve, but I imagine they'd probably be equal parts, maybe some minor adjustments for the stronger of the spices. As for how much spice, that probably depends on how much of the honey syrup you plan to make.

Always considered buying this bottle for a few cocktails, but it's pretty dang expensive here in these parts (central Canada) for such a unique ingredient.
Ur just awesome thank u
Hey Steve, awesome video! Question: if I were to make the 4 spice honey syrup, what would the ratios be?
I'm no Steve, but I imagine they'd probably be equal parts, maybe some minor adjustments for the stronger of the spices. As for how much spice, that probably depends on how much of the honey syrup you plan to make.
