It needed a tune because you changed the diameter of the intake. If you install a cold air with the stock diameter piping, your maf sensor will read the same and no tune is required.
Some really cool mods man. Im prolly gonna check out the rear suspension setup on mine. It sounds really sick too. Gotta make a new video on mine haha, you just gave me the push 😂 us 4.0s are starting to become a rarer breed. Nice lookin whip bro keep it up 🐎🐎🔥🔥🔥
I recently manual swapped my 4.0. When I shift back to neutral, the OEM shifter doesn't have the pop feeling at all. In your video, I saw the shifter pop back when you shifted back to neutral. My question is: when you were shifting the OEM shifter back to neutral, does it have the pop feeling? Thank you!
I bought a 06 mustang and it came with a CAI already installed, I have a P0017 code as a check engine and I assume its because of the intake. Is that what you had on yours before the tune?
@@neighborhoodgearhead216 I recently added pypes x pype kit with muffler-delete exhaust and it's two loud and I saw videos on these with the v6 and I like how it sounds and looks
I have a short with no mufflers it popped and crackled a lot. It sounds great but I could never daily drive a car with no mufflers haha.@@joshuajimenez-dv9th

Where did you buy the short shifter ? I just find 4.6 shifter
you have to search very specificly the only unit i could find for the 4.0 was the mgw short shifter.
So after you got the air intake you just installed the tune you showed in the video? or was it a different tune?
Tune after, if you don’t tune the car gets a check engine light and runs lean

yeah before I had a tune I had a running rich code
Would you be interested in a 4.6 engine same year of car. Engine got long tube headers and cams with 110k miles?
Thanks but I’m ok, I’m planning on 5.0 swapping it soon.
Where you get your decklid brother
I don’t remember, but the brand name is true fiber
so did you have to get the gt rear bumper for the violater exhaust?
No, just cut the bumper for the second tip.
Are the pypes violator loud
Kinda, it is muffled so there is no drone
