    so my 2017 F-Pace has the same type of front calipers. Every other car I have owned has the standard caliper pins that you need to consistently grease. Do these Jag calipers not require grease?

    • @EasySteps_Sidhu
      @EasySteps_Sidhu  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you do need to put grease and here is the video I posted on my other channel, please check it out. Thanks.

    very good job n how can i reset the break pad low warning light ??

    • @EasySteps_Sidhu
      @EasySteps_Sidhu  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank You, glad to help.
      Very good question, thanks for asking, there's no reset procedure.
      If you have replaced the pads didn't replace the sensor then the light should go off automatically if the sensor is good.
      If you had a warning before you changed the pads then one or both of the sensors are shot/bad.
      As a rule of thumb that the brake pad wear warning indicator sensors must be replaced each time the brake pads are serviced as they wear during operation.
      The sensors are little plastic slugs with a thin wire running through them that creates a complete circuit that is monitored by the central junction box to detect if either of the two sensors (rear RH, front LH) wear through the wire through contact with the brake disc/rotor and break the circuit.

    I am not too car savy, however I am motorcycle savy and do all my own work with a Harley master tech on my 2 Harleys, Ducati and 2 BMW's. I have a question which may sound silly. I have a 2018 Jaguar XE 3.0 AWD. However Im pretty sure the XE and XF have similar brake calipers. In the video it looked like you removed 2 brake pads from one caliper. And the box of new brake pads looked like there were four brake pads in the box. Was that box of pads good for 2 front bake calipers? Meaning 2 brake pads per caliper? And would the same apply to the rear brake calipers where the rear brake calipers had two brake pads per caliper? All input would really be appreciated. How do you like the pads you installed on the car? Or was that for a customer? If the pads were for a customer how did they like them?

    • @EasySteps_Sidhu
      @EasySteps_Sidhu  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a family car, brake pads are good quality pads.
      Thanks for watching, yes, it's 4 pads for the front left and right.

    Hey I've seen people say Jaguar XF needs a special tool to push the caliper piston. A tool that supposedly turns and pushes the piston at once. I don't see you using this, any insights?

    • @EasySteps_Sidhu

      Yes, you have to use a "wind-back" tool for the rears. They're cheap enough from Harbour Freight. See other videos on Y/T on how to use it.
