  • Just a quick video for installing our Full Access UTV upper and lower A arm supports on the Obor tires, Full Access UTV KRX 1000. These braces are a must have for any KRX owner.

    And a shot out to Obor tires. Check out their 34x10r15 Obor predators. Obor is a very little known company, but these are the same great compound as the System3 XCR 350 tires. However the tread design works even better in many terrains. They are only 1/4" shorter in height then the 35" xcr350.

    pro tip: when putting a nut on like the one on the uppers with limited access, get a plastic bag and place the nut on one layer of plastic bag then push it into the box end of the wrench. the bag will take up the excess and keep the nut on the end of the wrench, now put it in place and spin the bolt to tighten.

    If you plan on installing a winch you better do it before you install the braces because they are completely in the way of getting the winch in place!!!!

    I purchased the upper and lower A arm brackets. After installing them i noticed a big difference in the ride in the dry washes. It use to be really smooth but now it seems to send the energy from the right directly to the left and back and forth. You can feel the whole front end wobble. It seems to only happen during certain surfaces but ive never noticed it before. I have Shock Therapy suspension. Has anyone else experienced this?

    • @KRXBrandon
      @KRXBrandon 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you still have this happening? I was curious to see if it went away after a bit of riding

    • @MrBrittg1
      @MrBrittg1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KRXBrandon I dont get out to ride as often as I would like. But a couple of weekends ago I rode out near lake Pleasant. This has been the 2nd ride since installing them. This trip I didn't notice it at all. Like i mentioned before it didn't happen but only on a certain sand wash run up near Bartlet lake. This last trip near lake Pleasant I was riding on more hard pack and loose dirt. I have purchased quite abit of upgrades from Full Access UTV and have been really happy with all the components. I cant tell you for sure if it went away as of yet but i didnt notice it last outting. I will keep the A arm supports installed and update if any changes.

      Follow up, this last weekend went to the race course where The Best of the desert race has an annual event. There wasnt a race event happening, just a group of us out running the course. Now back to the upper and lower A arm stiffeners. We were all running this course as if the race was happening, 45-65 mph. Hard pack, washes and deep rutted sand with whoops and everything. Some of the cars that was in our group were not your typical sxs. They had engines that were V6 and one was a V8, but no 4 wheel drive. I did not experience any of that left to right front end wobble that I was concerned about, that I felt up near Bartlet lake right after the install of the A-arm brackets. We had so much fun running that course and my KRX did awesome. There was one time I hit a serious type, combination sand with hard dirt type G-out and a wave of of earth came in over the windshield and covered us. Hit so hard I was concerned that I had to have broke/bent somthing. Got out and checked out everything up front. All was fine and was so pleased that I have installed the A-arm supports along with the shock supports and the rear skid plates. I dont know what that initial front end wobble was near Bartlet, outside it had be the surface of that particular stretch in that wash. All my buddies were really impressed with how this KRX performed out there on the race course near Parker AZ. I have installed other add-ons from Full Access UTV and will continue too.

    FYI: Checked out OBOR tires. When a Mfg. won't list tire weight on spec. sheet. They are generally much heavier than other tires. Example: 34" X 15 load rating is 700 lb. which is well under avg. UTV tire rating in this class. Reduce PSI and it drops more. Someone stated this is a 70 lb. tire. Too heavy for the overall spec. offered. On a KRX/2 you are O.K. with weight rating but who wants to run a 70 lb. tire? KRX/4 with a GVWR of 3100 lb. Not a good tire choice IMHO.
    System 3 tires may be Mfg. by OBOR but obviously at a higher spec. A lot of info. is required for tire choices... Some people watch your videos and consider your choice a proven / vetted one. Be selective which products you promote. ( Like your content, great presentation. ) Thanks

    • @fullaccessutv
      @fullaccessutv  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Some hide it. I’m not sure why there’s is not listed though. Those tires are actually lightweight, however they’re a little thin in the sidewall. I would not say that’s a great tire for a krx4. The new system3 450 and 370 tires seem like they have a very thick sidewall vs the older 350

    • @jemadv1594
      @jemadv1594 ปีที่แล้ว

      @FULL ACCESS UTV The system 3 - 450 is a heavy tire but is rated for 1719 lb. ea in the 35" and 1600 in the 33" that's a big jump from 700 lb. OBOR tire rating. But the 35" is 56 lb. and the 450 would be like driving your F-150 with E rated tires. Rough ride. I went with the RT320 rated at 1020 lb. ea. and their 35" is 43 lb. vs 56 lb. A 1020 lb. rating gives you 4080 lb. for a 3100 lb. GVWR KRX / 4 . Running lower psi reduces these weight rating numbers, so you need a little higher max rating to start. But the XC450 may be too much ? I went with Method wheels 1600 lb. weight rating, so if tires aren't as stiff and wheel takes a hard hit. It can handle the load better than a 1000 lb. rated wheel. Thanks

    I have not had one apart, but why not have braces for the rear mounts of the front a-arms as well? Do the holes not wallow out, or frame bend on a front tire impact? Just curious. No complaints or problems with what you're doing.

    Great video. I bought the 7 things every KRX must have. I have been getting it all put together. I did also buy the R1 industries frame stiffener.
    Using that should I put the lower brace on the a arms as there is already one there with the frame stiffener?

    • @fullaccessutv
      @fullaccessutv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much for the orders. have not seen their frames Stiffener. I am familiar with the superatv one, but there is really no need for one upfront. Too be honest their frame stiffener does not work with their skid plates. I would not use one. The front frame section of the Kawasaki is strong.

      @@fullaccessutv thank you for your response. I will hang onto those lower brackets and gift to someone.
      I found out the super ATV stiffener is the same as the one I bought. I am in the process of installing the super ATV 1/2 in skid plate. With your rear heavy duty skid plate I am going to just put the super ATV one over it? I believe this is what you said in the video.
