    I always like the personality you’ve managed to work into your rig. Fun to watch you drive too! Happy New year to you.

    Is VR better than screens?

    Have you tried the Dbox gen5? Is it worth the extra money? I had my sights set on it then someone introduced me to the rs mega +, looks good and way cheaper.

      No, haven’t tried myself but they are not in the same category. RS Mega+ is great for this price and is totally worth it. If you can afford D-Box it is supposedly much better, but if you can’t - the RS is your way to go. Qubic actuayors are also very good option but D-box price…

      @@57uyo other than the neat form factor what is actually superior about dbox?

      @@quackhouseproductions5572 propriatary algorithm, software, faster response and much better haptics (based on what i read). Also it is implemented in games presumably differently on deeper level thus giving you overall better feel. This being said i am pretty satisfied with the RSM+, but would definitely be curious to test a d-box setup. I personally would buy one as I simply cannot afford it ;)

    Does it feel weird not having monitors integrated to the rig? Contemplating going from free standing to integrated when I get motion.

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I had both, prefer it freestanding though. Less weight on rig, less space whit motion. It was nice when monitors were on rig, but freestanding outweights with its simplicity. Frankly once I start driving I do not notice it any more and it feels quite natural even with the 27” size. I will be upgrading to 32” soon for better FOV and placement behind wheelbase, but seem to me I will like it better static than before when I had my G9 49” on rig. But in the other side I use VR as well, so prefer having lightweight rig, also with monitors removed it is much quieter now.

    Would you recommend the Motion v3+ Motion Plus or get the RS Mega or Ultra w. TL directly?

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      V3 is fun and quite helpful. If you want to have only seatmover - it is worth it. If you plan to add full motion - better go with the RSU. I use my V3 as I drive at night and do not use the RS mega so often as I would like to. Together they work ok, but you have certain disconnect between both. I am selling my V3 currently and will be extending the RS with TL and surge by my design. RSU price wise makes more sense as well. Frankly speaking i prefer to be on one side of spectrum - seatmover only or full motion rig with TL and surge. My plan is to make TL and surge on separate power so i can use only them during the night. 4actuator motion is fun, I like it, but seatmover is faster and moves my upper body relative to the wheel, feels quite convincing especially in VR.

      Subscribed today. I own the NLV3 seat mover and I amb happy with it. Could you tell me what is the best option to add and upgrade the motion feeling: NL Motion Plus at 2000€ or RSMEGA4U at 2860 with shipping included???@@57uyo

      @joseppc6820 thanks, mate! I had the NLR M+ and it failed only after 80 work hours. Repaired under warranty and sold it immediately, for me it was waste of money, I do not have… it is fun, works ok, shows general direction of what is possible in sim racing, but has design flaw and it is too expensive for what it provides. Also it has only about 35mm travel, which is fine for roll effects, but lacks greatly in pitch. Also you would want to get two of them quite shortly after you buy the first one. I should have gone RS Mega+ in the beginning. Here you can find all the detailed info and make your decision ;) www.racedepartment.com/threads/next-level-racing-motion-plus-platform.229187/

      OMG... I can get the motion+ for 2000 new of offer (in 2 days it will arrive at home) and the RSMEGA4U not sure at what price, with TAX and import fees.Presumably 3500€ which is a lot more. I seems M+ fails to last more than one year...

      @@joseppc6802 similar dilemma here, i could get the M+ for a „bargain“ and i already have the v3. So sell the v3 and go for rs mega/ultimate or get the M+…

    Any reason for mounting the DD1 upside down?

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep, it has shaft extension and monitors sit between wheelbase and wheel when not using motion (motorized monitor stand). This way I can see the screen for quick checks if everything is working and switching modes.

    Downside is that the monitors are now too far away

    Does V3 combines nicely with RS mega +?

      It enhances the feel and works well together, but you are losing the small details from the Mega. This does not bother me as I do not need the Mega haptics - have enough bass shakers. On the other hand it is preferable to have stable seat when using full motion, but I keep still the V3 as first I cannot sell it and second I drive mainly late at night so to keep noise down use only the V3. Currently thinking about removing it and adding TL and surge as I have the Thanos controller already and this will be good replacement for the V3. Which is better - they are different. V3 has greater acceleration as it moves less mass, also simulates you being pressed to the wheel like you would in a real car. The Mega has great feeling with the extended travel, but seems off as steering wheel remains static when you move. It is hard for me to decide which I like more, this is why I either use only the V3 or both together (had NLR Motion+ before and it was the same - without V3 the Motion+ was lacking as it is small travel). I am hoping if I add surge on seat and pedal only the feeling of being pressed towards and away from wheel will be good enough not to miss the seatmover. Also TL I will be adding only on seat, not whole platform so more or less I will still have a seatmover :)

      Can you give me a tip please.
      What do you think,first buy the v3 and later the mega,or first mega and later the v3?

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@michaelpiper6601 they are different systems, fun together but have shorcomings. I sold the V3 and have only mega now. If you want to have full motion and maybe add in future traction loss and surge get the mega. If you can live with only a seatmover get the V3. But having both at same time is not so sensible…
