Thank you for this video! Strangly, both garage door opener and car manufacturers do not have clear and correct instructions to setup Homelink. With your instructions I set it in less than 1 min easily. Thank you very much!

Matt … THANK YOU!! None of the other videos helped whatsoever because the 2nd part where one presses the PRGM button is either not mentioned OR mentioned as optional. Thanx again!

I looked at the genie user manual for a solid 20 minutes trying to do it their way with no luck. I watched this video ONE TIME and it worked like a charm. Thank you for making this easy now my wife is happy

This was the only video I found that worked for my 2022 Acura MDX. Thank you

Even my tech savvy teenager couldn’t figure this out at first. I found this video today and finally got it. Way more finicky compared to the previous two openers we’ve had with the same car (2015 4Runner) which were much simpler. At least it’s working now

Thank you a thousand times. I just bought my RDX 2023 and I had only one remote and it was falling apart. Thanks to your tutorial I don’t need my remote anymore. Great tutorial. Greetings from Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦🙏

Holy cow I'm so glad I found this video. What got me was it had the same genie remote as mine for my car and I didn't know there was two steps thank goodness I watch this video. It was driving me crazy. This one will work if you have a genie garage door opener, but there's two steps, especially for my 2024 Prius.

Fantastic video and your explanation of the last GDO for programming was the same for mine. Ten fold better than any of the other homelink videos on here.

After just getting a new RDX I had spent some frustrating efforts trying to do the programming. Looked at lots of videos and the Acura manual- no success. I watched this video and I am now linked!!! Great job by Matt of making it easy for me.

Thanks it works! After trying the methods of only using the learn button or only pressing the transmitter, doing both finally worked.

Thank you very much for this video. Every other one I watched had you hold down buttons 1 and 3 every time to put it in "pairing mode" which wiped out my in-laws opener or vice versa. No other video states that you can just press the button once in an empty slot to pair the opener. I was going nuts not being able to program the other buttons. Greatly appreciate this!

Having a remote literally defeats the entire purpose of home link. So that’s really cool and well thought out.

Thank you. Prefer doing it this way, versus getting out the ladder and pushing the learn button on the opener…running back and forth

It worked after clearing the codes then starting from the beginning. Still took 3-4 times. I found coming back to my MDX just holding the the button down until the garage door moved was the key. Multiple presses didn’t work.

If you have a genie GMI3VL, garage door opener fob use the small buttons. Otherwise, there is a bug that causes it not to work by using the large button.

It appears certain liftmaster openers need a bridge. Available on Amazon.

Is somebody able to break into my car in my driveway and use homelink to open my garage? I’ve noticed that it seems to be active even with the car off and the fob nowhere near the car.

    • @SerraAcura
      @SerraAcura  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi William! Yes, it will work even without the keys, it still has power. It would be just the same as if you have a regular garage door opener in your car, it will open your door if someone gets into your car. Thank you!

Each night I turn off the power to our garage door opener using the wall switch in the garage. That way the garage door can't open.

Nice, it's not a minute it's 30 seconds learn button on the physical motor. And it's 20 seconds to erase the code on your homelink.
