I have a old liftmaster with rolling code remote. This is the only video I found that actually helped me get my homelink paired after a year of trying and searching.. thank you.
Yea! It worked for me!! :🥰😍 I have watched several video trying to find the right one. All the others I watched, their procedure didn't work for me. But this one worked the first time. So THANK YOU! 😇
Thank you. The learn button on the opener did the trick. We just bought this 2023 Passport and it's like going from Windows 7 to 11. A bit of a learning curve from our simple 2005 Pilot with 270K. It's light years ahead of the old one though.
If a rolling code you first pair a remote with the home link button, then you go on opener in garage & hit ‘learn’, or ‘program’ button firmly, a light will blink for about 30 seconds, during that time you have to go back to your car & hit the home link button you programmed with the remote three times, each time firmly for one or two seconds, he went too fast on explaining the three times when you go back out to car…..hope that helps
I mean these instructions got my Honda to pair with my garage but now my keypad and my other cars remote no longer works. It wiped the memory of pairing with the other two.
I just programmed my homelink and found that the instructions in the Genie manual and the vehicle are confusing. I was able to do it with the new 7055 Genie. 1. In the vehicle - clear all the prior codes - Press the two outside homelink buttons at the same time and hold for 20 to 25 seconds, you know they are clear because it will fast flash. 2. In the vehicle - hold the desired vehicle homelink button and the garage door remote opener button both at the same time for about 5 seconds, you will know it linked because it will fast flash. 3. On the garage door opener itself (in the garage) - there is a button labeled SET, push it for exactly two seconds, it will color change from green to blue on the dot and purple flashing on the bar. 4. In the vehicle - press the programmed button for exactly two seconds, then again for two seconds, and then press it once for about a second. The garage door will open or close. The button is now programmed. The opener will have a green light again.
@@catlover2080Thank you so much! This worked perfectly to pair my 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 to my Genie 7055D. The only difference was that it picked up the rolling code midway on the second 2-second push once inside the vehicle.
Thanks for this video! Just purchased a 2020 Civic Hatchback and was able to program my garage-door-opener in less than 10-seconds with your helpful tutorial.
Your instructions worked. The problem is we have one double garage door but only put the Honda Hybrid in the garage. The above process made the handheld unusable. I know there’s a fix bu t I don’t know what it is. HELP!
What if I don’t want to clear the system first? I have a rental property that I use on occasion and want to keep that programmed but add in the new garage opener.
"You're gonna hold the clicker right up here" Which clicker button am I using? If I use the already programmed button I'll be opening/closing the garage door. If I use an unprogrammed button, how is the car going to know which unit it's connecting to? Also, why would I clear the Homelink if I've already got a button programmed for a different garage door? That's just going to make me redo that button, starting an endless loop of resetting and programming.
So, we had a new garage door installed but they did not give us a clicker to open it. We bought one universal garage door opener, very generic, so how can I pair my car with the garage door without the actual remote? I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee latitude.
@@josephwestbrook3403 yes I went to a different TH-cam video and I was lucky enough that the channel creator was on and he walked me through and it was so easy!

When you go into pairing mode the device won't delete any programmed buttons. You just have to remember what button is paired with what garage. Simple.

Nothing that I have tried is working to connect my home link in my car to the garage door opener. I have tried everything they have told me to do in the owners manual as well as TH-cam videos etc. I have a 2010 Subaru Tribeca with the three Homelink buttons on the drivers visor.
