    I have a 2011 and so far the only CONS I see is the backlight of the clock went out. I put in new brakes and rotors recently but that's normal wear and tear maintenance. It has been a very reliable car, it's safe, fun to drive and track like a tank on snow if you put on proper tires.

    The most expensive thing I had to pay for on mine is around $1000 for some tires. It cost more to fill up at the gas station than it is for an oil change depending on where you live. But they’re good cars no maintenance issues.

    I inherited my mom's 2011 silver g37x S edition recently. she bought it in 2011 with 5 thousand miles on it from carmax for about 38 grand (near what you said) who got it from an old ladies estate. My mom took it to what is essentially "joes car shop" and not infiniti dealerships most of the time, but she took it there on a routine basis for every oil change and always had it looked over every time. it was obviously much cheaper and Even with not going to an official dealership most of the time it now has 120 thousand miles on it and has never once broken down or ever had engine issues, just one bad suspension problem. I think if you are going to the same mechanic each time you can get away with not taking it to any official dealer at all except for the milestone checks

    • @CarAdventuresWithReg
      @CarAdventuresWithReg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @CarAdventuresWithReg
      @CarAdventuresWithReg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thanks bro I appreciate you for watching. I spent 50-90 on oil changes depends on what dealer I went too lol. The brake pads oem, the part was about $100 for the rear. I had a friend put them on for me, so I didn’t pay for labor. Last year I probably spent $2,500 for maintenance but I had a big service doing spark plugs drive belts fluids etc. But since I did a lot of big maintenance last year. I’ll just be paying for oil changes this year. It also depends on how much you drive too. I put about 20,000 miles on my car a year. I hope this was helpful.

    I didn't realize that you can take your car to Nissan or Honda dealership and that it would be cheaper. What I would do is take my car, once I've purchased it, to a mechanic shop that specializes in Japanese cars in general. That would be way cheaper than any dealership.

      Hey bro, let me tell you. Apparently with the g37 it's a hit and a miss. Some of the engines blow. Develop "rodknock" I got my 37 at 180k milage and 2 months later. Blew. Got a new engine for 1750$CAD so my ride cost me 8k instead of 5. Still ight. But apparently the 35s are more reliable for that. Ofc the 37 has 50 more hp. But if I'd of gotten a 35. And supercharged it for 400/500 hp it would of been the same price basically.
      Just fruit for thought. You may get an engine that lasts 300k or one that blows at 100k. Its dumb actually
      Which is why I felt that when buddy said it needs maintenance. Maybe the guy before me didnt maintain it well. So take that to heart. Take good care of it. She's sensitive apparently
