i have a 2011 g37x(awd) with 130k and i have had it for a year and its been good to me. It is my first car and have had the best time while having it, I have did all the mechanics and mods myself everything is so easy to do it especially as my first time doing it all. It is a daily stanced build with FBO tune making 335 whp it one of the best cars to stance because the exhuast it only really thing that sits low. Good video!
Hey Mark just wanted to let you know that I just bought a 2014 Q60 with 53K miles and you’re a huge reason why. Keep doing what you’re doing man, you’re out here changing lives
Been driving my 2013 coupe about 2 months now. Definitely in love and has so much potential! Was able to get it for 10.5k. 94k miles and it came with wheels, coilovers and an exhaust! Definitely lucked out haha
I’ve had my G37x coupe for 10 years, and I love it. Solid performance, super reliable, and no major issues. It’s fun to drive, and has a decent amount of features. The AWD performs well in the snow here too Mine is lowered on coilovers, wheels, catback, BBK, and some other suspension work like sway bars and strut bars, control arms etc. 330hp isn’t a lot nowadays, but it’s plenty for a little bit of fun and the car handles well for 3,800+ lbs. IMO it’s not a sports car, more like a grand touring car
Ive been genuinely eye balling a g37 sedan the past couple months. I really got stuck on it more than my other wants. Ive done my research and these things are tanks for the most part. Weird things here and there honestly. Ill keep yall updated. Im genuinely considering the end of the year.
@@DoomDeityyea not bad cause even decent g35 and 350s are still 7-9k rn. just whatever you do don’t buy a revup. i made that mistake, nothing wrong w the engine there’s just less of them out there and nissan only worked on the revup for like two years before the hr so some things have never been smoothed out with the engine.
I've had my 2013 Journey RWD sport package sedan for nearly three years now. Only left me stranded once when a pulley gave out at 90k miles but that's my fault for not doing my PM's. I've got intakes, full exhaust and a tune and i still get about 18.5 to 19.5 mpg.
As a previous modded G37x owner, now owning a 340i stage 2 The G37x is the best affordable starter performance car. Like 330 HP isn't breaking records but it's definitely enough to have a lot of fun with. You're faster than 80% of cars out there, they're fairly reliable, and when modded they can stand against a lot of modern cars. They probably won't win, but it can hold it's own. Weaknesses, it's a jack of all trades, master of none. It's fast enough to be fun, but it won't ever be fast enough to scare you or anyone else unless you boost it. It's comfy, but not luxurious enough of comfy enough to really be a luxury car. They can handle really really well, but not good enough to compete with true sports cars or even more modern sport sedans. You can find a decent example for 6k-10k depending on the mileage. Ever since I switched the B58 platform though, it's night and day. It's faster, even stock. Handles better, brakes better, better interior, more luxurious and comfortable. It's a worthy upgrade but it is a more expensive car by A LOT. But G37s are a good starter performance car. If you only had Honda Civics, Corollas, or other slow normie cars, a G37 will feel amazing and awesome to you. I'll put it this way a bolt on G37 is beating a bolt on Focus ST, a bolt on Charger RT, a bolt on Genesis Coupe, and other similar, entry level performance cars.
Auto with paddle shifters are the way to go def a lil bias towards manual. I personally have a journey installed paddle shifters great driver mod. Other than that valid info.
Can you help me out I have few options 1: g37 2:q50/s. 3:bmw, 4 Mercedes? What would you pick personally ? And I really love your videos man keep it up
Nissans are japanese cars, run well whenever (still do your maintenance) Mercedes and BMW are german cars so they run well but there’s NO room for negligence otherwise things will run poorly really fast. I drive a ‘13 g37X sedan with 81,800 miles rn haven’t had any issues other than one day car had no power cause the battery was lose and once properly secured I turned the car on and the airbag light came on and not sure how to fix that, not that big of an issue but, no other issue other than that
whats weird about that heavy door situation is that its not every coupe... ive been in maybe 4 37 coupes and there was one that had the heaviest doors ever, had to be made out of vibranium or something. the others felt normal for the most part but i feel like typically coupe doors will be heavier than a sedan.
I miss the chance like 2 months back getting a g35 I been looking into g37's and q50's 60's and q70 and ql70 but i like my cvt 2010 legacy but there's nothing you can do with cvt cars u can only upgrade very little and they can't get alot of hp because the cvt will break. But i want something with luxury personally i think Infiniti's look better than there Nissan counter parts plus id rather have a q50 or q70 something with way more hp 300 to 330 3.7 v6 is better than my boxer 4's 175 cvt😢 i will get what i want one day
we don’t make 500hp n/a brother max effort vq37vhr is somewhere between 370-400 wheel, for the most part solid video but 37vhr’s rarely burn oil had mines at 169k not a drop of oil under my car

If you live in CA, you can't tune your G, unless you go out of state to do it because you can't have a tuner shipped to CA unless you find a place where they tune it for you, but when is time to smog your car it will fail😏
way off on the trans mate. the 6sp is incredible, and people swap them in to other builds because they are so good. the auto trans is great as long as you stay with FBO. if you boost it, it will break, just like most trans.
I disagree about the interior, almost every G series vehicle has splitting in the dash, the material is terrible and does not hold up. I did get lucky with an 06 G35 with no splits, but it was literally the only one with no dash damage.

@bunkie06 hey, sorry for late reply, I ended up buying it, but unfortunately you can't get a manual with the awd, and I wanted that model specifically. Basically, it's the best possible awd coupe I could get due to the packages and condition, I'm really happy with it so far, it also came with an aftermarket dual exhaust system and tinted windows
@sopretty43vr that's a great idea man, I just couldn't pass up on the condition of the car and all that, the thing is super minty, also forgot to say it has an aftermarket exhaust system and it's lowered already, 2 mods I would've got done first anyway 👍

You really went through the whole ugly section and never once mentioned gallery gaskets? Im gonna sound negative and apologize in advance, but you did a poor job researching for this video. Overall I do agree with a lot of what you said in this video but the gallery gasket thing is huge. VQ37VHR doesn't burn oil... thats a DE issue. Im guessing your 350z wasnt an HR by that comment(Hrs also have the gallery gasket issue). Some other things to consider if you want to buy a vq37vhr..Oil runs hot in these cars. Your coolant hose union or bleeder valve is going to blow one day(easy to fix preventative, a bitch to be stranded over). But if you can deal with gallery gaskets, you are more than capable of handling anything this car throws at you, which really wont be a lot. If anyone wants more things I have had to fix on my G37s 6MT coupe, id be happy to share.
Damn!! Haven’t even finished the video but was expecting the water pump, gallery gasket (certain years) and the CSC lmao I’m not finishing the video now
