Now that the unit has been in circulation, I'd like to add my opinion regarding my' 23 137XRS/ss/850/1.25
The LED light is a nice upgrade. HOWEVER, its low beam does lack up close fill-in and its peripheral is a little narrow. The high beam is not perfect. It too could use more projection, higher angle and with a bit more peripheral. Unfortunately, the high and low beam are NOT independently adjustable. The LED kelvin temp is likely around 5000. A" white" light. Overall, the new headlight is OK, but not awesome.
While riding during the daylight, I prefer to have my high beams. unfortunately when the unit is shut off, the default is LOW beam. I would like to be able to override that and make the HIGH beam come on at start up. HB also makes following riders much easier to see in the mirror when keeping track of them behind you.
The smart shocks are quite impressive, allowing much more usability of the suspension throughout the day WITHOUT having to manually change shock settings. Sport +plus is jittery but is excellent for 70+ and medium, aka" sport" works well in all ranges of speed, but shines between 40-70.
The 137 w/ SS came with about 3 turns too much ski preload. Steering was pretty heavy.
With transfer block on 1, TX ski runner nearly fully retracted, there was plenty of bite even when rear torsion was dialed back for a touch more sag. ----> I turned back the ski coller 3 turns and find this reduced steering weight, but did not drastically reduce front end bight. Center spring remains stock.
If I were to order again, Id NOT order the virgin 1.25 ripsaw. There is simply too much motor there but rather should've ordered the next taller lug. With that said, the short track MXZ will struggle with a virgin 1.25 and most def will need a taller lug. and or picks. but a taller lug at the least.
