Bought two of these. Around a year after purchase, both ended up with lines showing across the taskbar. One's worse than the other, but they are both very noticeable.
Just got my 24G2SP. Followed the settings and imported the icc profile. It's a bit warm compared to my legion laptop screen. I guess I need to get used to it. Big thanks!
i just noticed that now how there's lot of companies releasing inferior "Version 2" of the GAMING MONITORS. with only advantage being the bump from 144Hz to 165Hz so that casual buyers would think "higher is better" and just buy them. Thank you bringing to light all the shortbacks of these "new updated version" monitors. First benQ did it with their "S" ..now AOC. btw it seems that Gigabyte have also released an "Upgraded Version "of their popular G24F Gaming monitor..the 'G24F2'... refresh rate increased from 170 to 180Hz. Guessing from the look of things.. that might be a downgrade in all other departments as well..lets wait and see
Been comparing all these monitors and the Asus tuf but I've just came across the Omen 25i for the same price and going for that one. I can't be bothered with the headache of the Aoc as a lot of people have been sent the wrong version, model etc
So you can't turn on FreeSync in Adrenalin on this monitor? You sure? I wanna buy this monitor but its not clearly for me about FreeSync Premium support.
The only thing that holds me off from buying this monitor is its pixel response time, it seems slow to me. Hardware Unboxed recorded 8ms repsonse time, but Techless got 6.5 ms and other reviewers got somewhere around 5 ms on strong overdrive 165hz settings. Why the response time is so incosistent in this monitor ?. Does it depend on the unit u get ?
@@nxxiv436 if you’re sensitive to motion blur anything above 5 Ms can be noticeable. Now fps games not so much and I’m not super competitive but I play rhythm games and osu mania specifically is where that ghosting can be apparent. The blur on the notes is Terrible.

I bought an aoc24g2su a few months back for £129.99 from currys in the UK, now needing a second monitor and the price has gone up to £189.99. Looked on amazon and found an AOC g24g2spu for £169.99 so gone with that. My question is what is the difference between g24gsu and g24gspu? Which out of the two would be better for me to game on?
@jonasgordijn3509 yeah that's right. I ended up buying the spu, so now have one ips panel and one va. Slightly noticeable colour difference on my black desktop background. Ended up using the ips panel when I'm gaming over the va.
@jonasgordijn3509 mine has been great, I like the fact it has the usb hub. I have both monitors mounted on a dual monitor mount with my PC hidden behind so having the USB ports on the bottom of the monitors allows me quick easy access to plug in a gaming controller, USB stick or whatever is needed. For the price I'm certainly not grumbling.
I have V1 that I bought back in the day in 2019. Now it's serving me well as my 2nd monitor along with my M27Q. Great monitor, got me through the pandemic :D

@@sergtrav if you had used Asus or BenQ monitor stands previously you'd agree with me. Those are much more versatile taking only a small footprint on your desk (helps a lot if you use a large mousepad) I used TUF vg249q then moved to 24g2 (v1)
People want bright, bright, bright, and flashy flashy. Blame the mainstream. They have no taste. Love my 24G2U though. It's the one with the good panel, the one with the outstanding cotrast ratio. 😊

These has quite good color spec despite being a gaming monitor (and mainly bcause it's cheap) but i has some skeptical after seeing some review. Can i color calibrate this model and tweak the option to get the good image output at the lower brightness? I got the msi g241. It's a fantastic monitor for the price. I don't know about the others you listed. Mine monitor works well without any issues. But keep in mind it does not have variable refresh rate. You have to spend 50-60$ more for that feature. Benq Mobius monitor has that feature, I don't remember the model, just look it up. I would definitely pick a monitor which has variable refresh rate. It's a wise investment.
Just under a month ago i bought a 24G2U with its "new" panel discussed in your previous video on the monitor. And now they come with this? how much badluck. But oh well, i am waiting anyhow for a good 32inch monitor suited for Artist by day, gamer by night.

the same happened to me. after 9-10 months, the bottom display is broken with lines. very visable

I bought the aoc 24g2spu. In the description on many sites there say it has freesync and gsync, but it only has gsync.

Response time depends on brightness and color, it is never a single number.

I got the msi g241. It's a fantastic monitor for the price. I don't know about the others you listed. Mine monitor works well without any issues. But keep in mind it does not have variable refresh rate. You have to spend 50-60$ more for that feature. Benq Mobius monitor has that feature, I don't remember the model, just look it up. I would definitely pick a monitor which has variable refresh rate. It's a wise investment.

Just under a month ago i bought a 24G2U with its "new" panel discussed in your previous video on the monitor.
And now they come with this? how much badluck. But oh well, i am waiting anyhow for a good 32inch monitor suited for Artist by day, gamer by night.
i have it and am getting color banding and latest g menu dont work it just tirn off monitor when i use it.
@@CGFUN829 Mine is pretty fine though, including the G-Menu no issues at all and i am pretty happy with the monitor, But who knows maybe long term it will develop issue?
@@Dianaranda123 yeah banding maybe is long term, but g menu old version work but latest version simply turn off aoc and i had to unplug cable for it to work
