There is a video from a Chinese monitor reviewer named 小雪人评测, where he reviews the Thunderobot LQ25F240L. The specs are 24.5" 1440p 240Hz monitor with a "FastIPS" panel, and I believe is only available in China for 1800 Chinese yuan ($254 USD). The stand of it is a little disappointing, but I wish I could get this monitor.

The only thing bad about it is the stand is not height adjustable and sits pretty low, but that can be solved with a monitor arm. The catch is that at the end of the day, they're still "budget" monitors, so they're not going to have that premium materials/design or aesthetically pleasing OSD UI. If all you care about is the specs/performance of the monitor, then they're great options.

I'm glad more people are talking about this. I JUST switched from my Dell s2417dg after 4 good years of gaming. I remember people always saying back then that 24 inch 1440p was literally useless. They just never had the opportunity to even try one.
i've always wondered why is it so rare to find a monitor with such a specs, i'm glad that u brought this up, it's literally my dream monitor to have these specs (IPS, 24 inch, 1440p, 240Hz)
Not really sure why panel manufacturers have to stick to these fixed resolutions. Plenty of non traditional resolutions like "3k" exist in thr laptop space. Would be good for 27"
they already have 27 inch 4k monitors, and they perform rather well in gaming too. why release a worse product? Entire point is to INCREASE pixel density, not reduce it.
Totally agree. I went down the rabbit hole looking for a 24" 1440p 144hz for the longest time. Was finally able to get the Dell 2417DG used since they don't make them anymore. It's too bad it wasn't IPS, because it was everything I needed back then. 24" 1440p is super sharp and is basically a 4k monitor in an eSport size. It's amazing!
I'm actually surprised and a bit annoyed the pixel density of a display isn't talk about more often. We're all looking for that nice, crisp image, but somehow this critical aspect is typically overlooked. This is specifically why I chose a 28" 4K M28U. 157PPI compared to the 91PPI I had on my old 1080p 24". So juicy, so clean, so crisp, and so punishing on my GPU. Thanks for another banger, techless.
It always pissed me off when people tried to pretend like PPI on monitors doesn't matter. There is a reason phone displays are some of the nicest looking in most people households.
There isnt much talk about this topic as well which is really sad. I really want something with a high pixel density and the option to edit in a higher resolution while still aligning with my other 1080p 24inch monitors and having the same sense of scale. This has been my hype fixation for the past week and I thank you for making this video
I actually bought the Koorui GP01 1440p 24" monitor 2 days ago, swapping from the VG279QM 1080p 27". I have to get used to the smaller screen size, but I can already see some of the differences. The pixel density of the 24" monitor at 1440p is notably high, resulting in crisper text and images. I downgraded from 280hz to 165hz but I don't mind sacrifcing some hz for better resolution. This monitor's got the perfect mix of image quality and refresh rate for the price, I'd say.
1440p on 24" und 4K on 27" and 5K on 32" would have made everything better in the windows space. I hate how bad monitors we have compared to the mobile and mac space. If apple displays worked just as well with windows Asus and the other leaches of the monitor market would be irrelevant at the higher end
Bro what ? Do you even know how big of a jump 4K is compared to 1440p ? It's literally 2.25x the resolution, adding 3 inches is not going to make 4K the 1440p equivalent on a 27". If 24" 1440p is crisp enough for you then a 27" 1620p will get you the same ppi, or a 32" 1920p. Or if you're used to 4K 27" for productive work then 24" 1440p is gonna look dogshit, it's not even close.
@@Shockload I understand what you mean but sadly this argument made way more sense in 2015 than now. 6" phones are 1440p and 1080p OLED, 11" Tablets are OLED/Mini LED and almost 4K super sharp crisp, easy to edit videos on and get into detailing with the iPad or Samsung tablet. Macs have used higher resolution on 13" Macbooks and 27" 5K displays that the windows world is just sadly very pixelated and poorly scaled. A complete overhaul to the windows HDR and Resolution scaling system is needed and our monitors need to head to retina levels where no pixel is visible. This might seem extreme of an idea but pixels should not be visible and if phone screens are retina high ppi displays, Computers should be too. I am using an AW3423DWF right now and the pixel clarity is the same as a 27" 1440p monitor and wish it was the same as my 4K 27" display. It is not sharp at all and no just adding +3" is a very wrong way to thing of monitors. Remember its a diagonal so use pythagorus and see that you actually get an actual good size increase going 24" to 27"
Just upgraded from an old 19 inch thing to the Koorui GP01 and was thinking maybe I should have got a 27 inch. Your video is very reassuring! 👍 (Just got it going this week and already blown away at 60Hz!)
I bought the Koorui, last month, liked it a lot so bought another. Heads up they no longer have stock on the Koorui store site, other stores fine at present. Maybe no more coming?
I have been using this monitor for 6 monthes already, and it is as good as you described. It would be perfect, it only needs a 10-bit panel and a joystick instead of buttons. And i think the ideal size is around 25.5 inches, 27 inches are too large, but there are almost no monitors with such size
To this day there is 9 known models with: 1440p, 24", 144hz+ in existance, correct me if I'm wrong. 1. AOC Q24G2A/BK 2. KOORUI GP01 3. Titan Army P2510S 4. Dell S2417DG 5. AOC AG241QX 6. Acer Predator XB241YU 7. AOC AG241QG 8. Acer XF240YU bmiidprzx 9. Monoprice 30673

Still using the Dell s2417dg on my sim rig. Pixel density is pretty much spot on and it really is a shame that we propably won’t be seeing 24” 1440p oled screens any time soon or ever because if that was the case, I would buy one straight away to replace my desktop screen 😢
Hi @Techless - thank you for covering this topic. Just an addition: I hope you also meant to talk about how no 4K or higher (YES HIGHER) 24” max (YES MAX 24”) monitors exist at all (barring a bad 60Hz LG Model); signed, someone who has used both 1440p and 4K at a variety of different sizes and is given NO OPTIONS to buy. NONE. For what I want. Meanwhile, laptops are getting 2880x1880 120Hz OLEDs on 14” … sigh…
There is another metric not mentioned here. That is the gap between the pixel lights. Often pixels don't fill their area. So a line of pixels on one monitor will look pixelated while on another it with the same resolution will look smooth and continuous. This metric is almost never included in the specs.
Hardware unboxed reviewed that monitor and it has trash overdrive tuning. The ''fast'' overdrive is way too slow for 240hz and the ''fastest'' overdrive has way too much overshoot. Return it and get the Lenovo Y27qf-30.
currently i have a LG 27inch 1440p monitor but before this i acctualy was heavily considering going with this exact monitor because of how sharp the image is and im a bit of a sharp and good looking image fanatic
27.3'' 4K displays are the goats for retina display and my go to option. The games I play aren't fps games so 60hz overclocked to about 70 is plenty for me most of the time.
Hey 😃I got the KTC Q24T09, which is a 24-inch 1440p monitor, and I absolutely love it! It looks so sharp, crisp, and detailed. I’m using it with my Xbox Series X, and it’s amazing. I still have the KTC H24T09P, which is 1080p, but I don’t really use it anymore because the difference between a 24-inch 1080p and a 24-inch 1440p monitor is massive!
@Techless I have this monitor and its great as far as the pixel density goes. But i cant seem to find the right RGB values to make it look good enough. It always has a red or green tint. Do you have any recommendet settings for this Monitor?
I use either "fps" or "player 1" modes(Player mode provides a little more customization options) (depending on the required brightness). for many people it seems too blue, but for me it's the most natural color
I have a LG Ultra sharp Apple monitor, 4k 24inch glossy 60 Hz for work. The pixel density and color is unbelievable, haven't seen anything comparable to it. If only it was above 60 Hz
I recently upgraded to AW2725DF QDOLED and my only hang up was going back up to 27". I wanted that brilliant, crisp resolution, clarity and color grading with the PPI benefits of a 24" display 😐

Great review! I also saw your review of the M27Q-X. Would you recommend this monitor or Gigabyte's M27Q-X (for only 100€ more) ? Considering it's used for mostly FPS or other multiplayer games, alongside some browsing and office Thanks ! Keep up the great work
I still use a 24" 1080p monitor, but a 25" 1440p monitor would be the ideal upgrade. I hope the trend of monitors getting bigger and bigger ends and more variety in the sub 27" category becomes available.
I just took the jump recently into 1440p and found 27" overwhelming. Even the small 3 inch increase has bothered me. I've used 23.8 inch and 24 inch monitors for so long that the size is just too much. Yes, before it's said, there's also a noticeable different between 23.8 and 24 inches as well. I've heard numerous excuses about the size increase, though the more I research I start to feel like the only one who feels this way. I wanna see more sizes like this, but it's starting to seem like it's becoming a niche. Especially since there's also been talks of ridding away 27" as well which seems goofy.
@@Interloper322 There are a few on Amazon, though I’ve heard QC issues with them, and just overall butt quality in terms of image. I once had a 24" 1440p that was awesome, but it was only 60Hz. I moved to a 27" 1440p monitor at 144Hz, and while the added refresh was great, I always regretted losing all that pixel density. Now I have a 4K 144Hz monitor, so everything's alright.
It would be great if a bigger manufacturer like LG or Samsung would make a top tier 24 - 25" WQHD Panel with 360hz. Currently I am switching between my XL2566k and my XG27AQMR, but most of the time I am using the XL2566k because I like the size more.

I've been looking at 1440p, 240Hz IPS options here in Macedonia, the cheapest one that ticks all the boxes is the Alienware AW2723DF (OC-able to 280Hz), but it comes at a hefty price of 600EUR. Am I crazy to not see that price justifiable or is it my expectations that are high?
I'm really happy with my 34" UWQHD monitor, which is equivalent to a 27" 1440p monitor, but that's because it stands on a deep desk (80 cm)! On a more commun desk, where I sit way closer, 24" is perfect, but then, 1080p is clearly not enough
Personally am having trouble picking between the Q24G2A for the PPI and Q27G3XMN for the mini-led and high contrast. What do you think is the better option when it comes to my usage of watching movies and doing work on the monitor? Thank you in advance.
I have twin 25" 1440p monitors, not gaming though (only 60Hz), but the size and resolution seems obvious, especially with dual monitors (2x 27" monitors = too much head/eye movement).

The catch is that at the end of the day, they're still "budget" monitors, so they're not going to have that premium materials/design or aesthetically pleasing OSD UI. If all you care about is the specs/performance of the monitor, then they're great options.
This is my favorite res&size combo and as you rightfully points out, we are starrrved for choices!
Love that you made this video! And the way you made the review
I've been looking for one and thought they were not worth to make, but here you are presenting us two of them.
@@MyouKyuubi pixel pitch for brightness and also cost
@@krazyolie it will cost MORE to use an unconventional resolution... As each resolution requires their own production facility.
And this is why I subscribe to you. You're always onpoint. Thanks for calling this out! 24" @1440p is highly underrated its a shame.
Absolutely true
i like this channel style you hit the right buttons
bro, your content is always amazing. Thank you for your dedication!

I've been wanting this for so long.
This is really imformative dang
Thank you for the video.Could you please also do a comparison of 27" 4K gaming monitors against 24" 1440p monitors and/or 32" 4K ? 😇😇

Pls do a full review of the q24g2a there are like no reviews out there
*_Review for Optix MAG274QRX please? i have it and i can´t find good info for adjust correctly the monitor Optix. Love your content_*
Please do a full review of the AOC Q24G2A!
please review the koorui gp01. I wanna get one together with my next gpu upgrade. It's pretty cheap too.
its not only pixel density its also due to the sub pixel layout of the alienware QD OLED display
27.3'' 4K displays are the goats for retina display and my go to option. The games I play aren't fps games so 60hz overclocked to about 70 is plenty for me most of the time.
This is perfect because I don't have a gaming PC and can use 1440p when doing productivity work and 720p when trying to game
Hey 😃I got the KTC Q24T09, which is a 24-inch 1440p monitor, and I absolutely love it! It looks so sharp, crisp, and detailed. I’m using it with my Xbox Series X, and it’s amazing. I still have the KTC H24T09P, which is 1080p, but I don’t really use it anymore because the difference between a 24-inch 1080p and a 24-inch 1440p monitor is massive!
ive been looking for one of these for years. Perfect size.
It’s a great day for a Techless video 🖤
Hey, Bit late to the party, but I'm using 1600px 18'' portable monitor as a main panel. The high pixel density makes it an absolute treat to use.
finally the gp01 got mentioned haha, is this good for competitive gaming? in my place its only $200, just gonna use it in apex legends specifically

I recently upgraded to AW2725DF QDOLED and my only hang up was going back up to 27". I wanted that brilliant, crisp resolution, clarity and color grading with the PPI benefits of a 24" display 😐
TITAN ARMY 24.5 Inch 240Hz 1440p Gaming Monitor just came out!
I love my Dell 24” 1440p monitor, totally agree with needing 240/360hz options. I wonder how much of an upgrade this monitor would be over my Dell TN? A 24” 1440p OLED would be even better :)
If there was a 24 inch 1440p oled, I would throw away my current oled monitor right now.
There's also KTC Q24T09
YES 😁 I am using this one with my Xbox Series X, it is amazing!
What are the best monitors you'd recommend for ca 150€ for today? I thought of at least an IPS panel, but there are a lot of people saying different monitors and claiming that that one is the best. Ive been following your videos since some time and I trust you the most in this topic since you test and compare monitors like a professional.
Have you seen the ktc Q24T09 think its a koorui rebrand koorui dont list this anymore

i just found a 3rd one with the same specs from KTC. its called the KTC Q24T09. Maybe it uses the same panel? only for $159. Hopefully you can review it too. I need your ICC profile haha!
So Koouri vs AOC?
Is there any chance there's a ICC profile for the Koorui GP01?

Thanks ! Keep up the great work
Great video, you make a very valid point

I’ve grown a bit used to 27” since this post, as I posted it a week into owning the monitor.
I’ve got a Dell S2716DG, a monitor that seems to be a big struggler in the 1440p display world, but I’ve come to actually enjoy its flaws.
27” is still a bit much. Though you may be able to grow used to it.

After the purchase, I was a little upset and I don’t know if this is a warranty case or not - I turned all the color values (red, green, blue) to “0” and the monitor still remained in color, but should have become black and white. As a result, this monitor hurts my eyes. Tell me what to do)

I would love a 24 inch 1440p 240hz monitor
I once had a 24" 1440p that was awesome, but it was only 60Hz. I moved to a 27" 1440p monitor at 144Hz, and while the added refresh was great, I always regretted losing all that pixel density. Now I have a 4K 144Hz monitor, so everything's alright.
It would be great if a bigger manufacturer like LG or Samsung would make a top tier 24 - 25" WQHD Panel with 360hz. Currently I am switching between my XL2566k and my XG27AQMR, but most of the time I am using the XL2566k because I like the size more.
i'm just waiting for a 27 inch 4k 240hz+ oled monitor. 32 inch really strains my neck even if i push it further back with my monitor arm. also i hope some genius fixes the oled brigthness flickering in adaptive-sync fps fluctuations, it's really annoying.
Alienware will always be overpriced.
There also is the Lenovo G24qe-20, however it is "only 110hz", that's why it didn't show up on pcp with the filters. Don't know if it's any good tho
It's terrible and reviews say that only 100Hz works. It's essentially an overclocked 75Hz screen just like other 100hz monitors.
