Its surprising how much the 737 outperforms its 200W successor. Yes they came out with a 250W but the sales going on right now give the 737 a big advantage imo. Thanks for the info
I'd say the 250W Prime powerbank is the true successor to the 737. It, like the 737, features 140W output and input and 21V 5A PPS support, which the other two Prime's don't have. In addition, the 250W Prime also beats the 737 in battery capacity, charging efficiency, and thermal performance.
@@TheStopwatchGod do you think the 27650maH 250W will be allowed on all international airports? I'm worried it might get confiscated. The charging base makes it worth it for me. It's saved me so many times during power outages. When you have to actually plug the thing in, and use up a c cable, and wall adapter, you're only going to charge it when you expect you need it or it completely dies. The charging base gives it a "home" i put it there every time I'm done using it or cleaning which means I always have 27,000 MAh available to me, which is a life saver during a power outage.
@@shkh1239you can charge it with a cable yes. And it will charge faster than the base if you have a powerful enough charger and the right cable, up to 170W input power (prime 250W) 140W input power (737 24k) and 100W input power (prime 20k). The base will charge with 100W input power max.
I hope Anker fixed compatibility issues on their new power banks because my brand new 737 24k power bank doesn't Super Fast Charge Samsung Ultra phones and it also has an issue where it keeps resetting the charge when plugged into my Strix Scar laptop's PD port, rendering it useless for laptop charging. Anker has admitted there was a PPS compatibility issue with Samsung phones and Lenovo laptops (or Asus ROG, in my case).
Mine is samsung 22 ultra. Regarding this compatibility issue with 737, i was about to buy it. Should i buy Prime 20k instead or this issue was only with your unit?
In my Opinion, the best Upgrade they made from 737 to Prime27k was the feature to be able to configure the USB-C Port to be Input only, Output only, or automatic. If you dont need that or the docking port or the rediculus 250w dual port output power, than the 737 is perfectly fine
When I am buying powerbanks, the right balance between size and capacity is important. I would not carry anything too bulky. After all these will be carried and not used at home. So apart from the 12K one I find the others overkill. 10K powerbank don't really charge with 65W so I could not even charge my laptop. It's not easy but thanks for the video.
Got the Prime 250W at a massive sale. 1. It has PASSTHROUGH charging! Powerbank can be charged while charging another phone. 737 can’t do that. 2. Counter point to 1. I have never been in a situation where I needed this feature and can't imagine putting myself in a situation where I would need to charge a device and the power bank at the same time - not to discredit the coolness or handiness of that feature. It would’ve been nice for you to dive a little bit deeper into the features of the prime, power banks, like how you can set your phone to finish charging to 100% at a specific time when you wake up for example. I think that is very important and advantageous to these models, as we think about long-term battery health.
I came to the same conclusion after comparing the various models. It depends as well on what you need a powerbank for, of course. But the 737 is on offer these days. And considering that it is only 2/3 of the large Prime model, it was the logical choice to me. Thanks for your tests!

This is likely due to you using the charger to its full potential. Li-ion batteries have a safe zone from 20%-80%. Staying within this limit extends battery life significantly, possibly by years. Every time you drain it all the way, especially during high wattage draw, it damages the cells the further you go below 20%. Similarly, if you go past 80%, it causes wear and tear. This results in reduced life. The higher the device wattage you use to charge and recharge, the faster you reduce battery life unless you stay within that limit. The extra heat produced also causes damage unless kept cool.

I've had the same anker powerbank since 2011 and it doesn't charge fast but the battery still holds. I'm a full anker customer. Love this brand and will follow them blindly 😂
The iPhone charge speeds are the same for all devices since the charging the speed is controlled by the iPhone itself. All four supply more than enough power to charge it at max speed.

just commenting to mention if you own the 27k and have a charging adapter like the samsung 65w you can plug 2 usb c into it and effectively cut charge time in half.
I've seen very similar battery banks by UGREEN, how do they compare to these by Anker? UGREEN's are more affordable in Europe at €77 for the 25k 200W model, while the 27k 250W by Anker is €144. The UGREEN has less features (no bluetooth) and sligthly lesser capacity and output power, but near half the price!
That’s a good question. It would be nice if anker had a compatability checker for various laptops that their power banks work with but I guess the only places to find that would be Reddit or some community forums. It would be nice to pin point you to some video where someone’s tested all of the anker powerbanks on a variety of laptops but no one really would have the time, money and resources to do that. My video was not intended for that. I was just trying to give a general overview of the charging speeds and tests with the devices I have.
Just bought the 27,001 whether I’m using C one or C2 charging port. I cannot get more than 7.6 W even though it says 100 for C one display is not even touchscreen
I am having issues figuring out how to charge my anker 737 just got it yesterday, from what i notice while i had the anker charge it lost power rather than gain power, I press the button 2x as the instructions said but that did not change anything, may i have some help? has anyone else have an issue
The rated capacity of the 250W Prime is really low in the case of the MBP charging, it delivered only 13800mAh. I guess a lot of power is lost with conversion
Prime 250W reaching 40 degrees recharging is quite toasty, especially when it's repeatedly under those circumstances on the long run; unless charging it with cooling (a simple fan nearby, or slower charger will remediate that. Also, slower charging power banks significantly extends their lifespan as it lowers the risk of cell balancing issues typically.)
Ignore the video. The prime 27,650 is better. The 100-watt charger is worth it considering that the in and out usb ports will have more traffic if you do decide to charge your power bank through the usbc ports. Those also lower the life expectations on those specific ports. Now charging it on the base from 0% to 100% takes an hour. At times, i can get 3.5 100% charges on my smartphone. This means i can get about 14 hours worth of charge just from the power bank 27,650mah alone. Not counting the fact that my phone would have 4 hours of power while playing pokemon Go. An app known to drain batteries. From 60% to 100 %, my phone takes 35 to 40 minutes to charge. This video doesn't specify anything that I mentioned lacks numbers and values. Cost wise, the anker prime 27,650 mah does cost more + the adapter, but at the same time, you get more out of it. The charger adapter alone makes the anker prime worth getting. I have a sit to stand desk with a lot of bells and whistles. The 100-watt adapter is worth it.
I have a question...so the battery pack is 25k maH but it can only barely charge a macbook pro to 90%? After ddoing some searches online I see that battery capacity for 16in macbook pro is about 9k maH. How come 25k is only able to barely charge 9k? Can someone explain please
Did you charge the 737 and 250w to 100% on the battery or 100% on the screen (the 250w needs at least 20 extra minutes past the 100% on the screen to be 100% on the battery. Your results seem too close between the 737 and 250w (with 737 showing more battery than the 250w)
Actually, I just ran a 10,20,30 minutes test comparing the 737 and the 250w and mirrored your results. That’s amazing how close they are for most common use cases.
If both the 20000 mAh and 27650 mAh charged to 100% in the same time using the 100 W base, that would suggest they actually have the same capacity. And that's the test that was really missing from this review: fully charge and discharge them, and measure how much they consumed (efficiency) and how much they put out (real capacity).
If considering in my place they both are at the same price (and for 737 I have to get through non official store) which do you think better ? Is it worth it to get 737 with the same price ?
TO THE AUTHOR. I feel you left out one very important subject in your entire review. What kind of cable are you using? The supplied cable maxed out at 25 watt output. If you are using high speed cables won’t your iPhone charge rating be completely different? Correct me if im wrong . I just bought the 27650mah. Now i need to buy a 140 watt charger with 2 usbc ports and high speed cables
It really depends. If you constantly use the powerbank everyday and you like to charge other things next to it everyday than I’d say yes! The stand does make it easier to charge the power bank.

Ive got the 12000Mah small one. Love the super fast speed to charge it and for me its the only non-brick one that fits in a pocket or a bag without making a noticeable difference
what cables are you using? there's no direction on what cables i need to recharge my laptop.
I ordered the 200W one because it was on sale at the time and I need something to charge my steam deck on my camping trip. I leave for camping the day Shadow of the Erdtree comes out. I don't plan on playing it lots while I'm camping but I definitely want to play it.
Are you planning on getting one of these Anker power banks? If so, which one?
Btw the charging results when charging the power banks towards the end of the video were from 0-100% 👍
I own several Anker powerbanks, but recently I picked up 2 Baseus blade powerbanks. love the form factor of them.
@@jbates1463 Nice! I’m actually thinking about trying those out soon and seeing what they’re like. Might review them as well 👍
how come the 250 for example charges the MacBook faster than the 200 but the MacBook only can charge 100w?
Thanks..excellent video, all information that I was looking for…
If you have the cash and you can purchase both the 20k and 27k one youll never have to use a wall charger again you'll be completely wireless
Good video. How much does each weigh?
Anker 12K: 0.82 lbs
200W: 1.2 lbs
737: 1.4 lbs
250W: 1.47lbs
Looking to run a starlink mimi, on walks, witch would be the best for that, bit green on tec, just need 45w and a good usbc port 20v/5a, but i would like to charge, mini and transmit at the same time, your tip will be welcome
In my country, the price of 737 and 250W prime is not much different. Can you give me advice on which type to buy for convenience and long-term use?
I've had the same anker powerbank since 2011 and it doesn't charge fast but the battery still holds. I'm a full anker customer. Love this brand and will follow them blindly 😂
The iPhone charge speeds are the same for all devices since the charging the speed is controlled by the iPhone itself. All four supply more than enough power to charge it at max speed.
Would the Anker 737 charge the dell xps 15 9500?
Thanks a lot! You are the best
Thanks for the details. I'm currently trying to compare the Anker options against the G-POWER GT19.
737 owner here. It doesn't charge up my latitudes or my asus zephyrus g14 AT ALL. Which is dissappinting as im taking a dell latitude with me where i don't have any power outlets.
my phone is only charging at 14w on the prime am I doing something wrong? or certain setting I need to set?
What's the weight of 737?, please.... Thinking of carry on weight😊
22 oz / 630 grams 👍
@@T3CHUP cheers thanks 👍😊
just commenting to mention if you own the 27k and have a charging adapter like the samsung 65w you can plug 2 usb c into it and effectively cut charge time in half.
We know it will charge macbooks but will it charge IBM ThinkPad, HP, Toshiba, Asus, Samsung laptops!? Those are the common types most people have.
Hello
Please what is the cover you use for your macbook ?
Would be nice comparing weight.
Just bought the 27,001 whether I’m using C one or C2 charging port. I cannot get more than 7.6 W even though it says 100 for C one display is not even touchscreen
Professional evaluation, I believe that only good quality products can withstand the test.
these all seem limited to 1.5 amps for 12v output
I don’t have a base, can I Recharge the 250w bank using both usb-c ports at the same time?
Yes. Power Banks need to allow you to charge itself using all available ports these days.
I am having issues figuring out how to charge my anker 737 just got it yesterday, from what i notice while i had the anker charge it lost power rather than gain power, I press the button 2x as the instructions said but that did not change anything, may i have some help? has anyone else have an issue
Really helpful!
Great video! Subbed
Great video, thank you!
thanks for the detailed comparision
which ones are travel FAA approved ? for carry on ?
They all fall under 100 watt hours, even the Anker Prime 27650. They can be brought aboard airlines.
The rated capacity of the 250W Prime is really low in the case of the MBP charging, it delivered only 13800mAh. I guess a lot of power is lost with conversion
sharge comparison pls
Will these charge a All in one Desktop PC, in case we dont have Electricity ❓️
Please let me know
Can get the anker 250w for$122 on
their website with code, good
price for perfomace for this
model? Or something else?
Tkanks...P.G..
Best Buy has them for 30 dollars. As long as you have the plus membership
I need 12V PD and from my research the 737 doesn’t support it so it’s a Prime unit for me. Please let me know if I’ve got this wrong.
Pls compare Ugreen Power Banks too.
Thanks man! This is the best comparison👍 Good luck✊
Such a good channel
Any of them support pass-through charging?
Did you happen to know the weights of the power banks? I want the largest one, but I'm not sure if it's too heavy.
Anker 12K is 370 grams. Anker 20K is 545 grams. Anker 737 is 630 grams. Anker 250W is 659 grams 👍
Amazing, thank you very much
Best choice of all is the jackery 100. Cheers.
Can I charge the 737 from a small portable solar panel?
If both the 20000 mAh and 27650 mAh charged to 100% in the same time using the 100 W base, that would suggest they actually have the same capacity. And that's the test that was really missing from this review: fully charge and discharge them, and measure how much they consumed (efficiency) and how much they put out (real capacity).
Can I charge power bank without special doc station, I mean to charge with cable type-c from adapter?
Yeah all of these power banks from anker will have a usb type c port to charge them with a cable. No dock is needed for any of these.
Also consider that the 737, at least, goes on sale often for $100 (from $150)
Do they only charged up with the base ?
Nope you don't need the charging base. You can charge them with just a usb type c cable.
If considering in my place they both are at the same price (and for 737 I have to get through non official store) which do you think better ?
Is it worth it to get 737 with the same price ?
I wouldn’t recommend the 737
Just got the Prime 27k with base charger on Amazon for $149.00 (Black Friday week)
Now i need to buy a 140 watt charger with 2 usbc ports and high speed cables
it comes with a 140w charging cable
I am not familiar at all with strong powerbanks… can these charge mirroless cameras?
If you’re mirrorless cameras support charging via a cable than these power banks most certainly will be able to charge them 👍
If you can charge it via USB-C then you can charge it with this.
Is it worth having that powerbank base for the 200w prime?
It really depends. If you constantly use the powerbank everyday and you like to charge other things next to it everyday than I’d say yes! The stand does make it easier to charge the power bank.
