I just got the 27650mAh version of these power banks to use when travelling. I was really debating getting the 12000mAh version too so I have best of both worlds but ended up settling on the Anker model which has the built in USBC cable. Mainly because anything I have on me which I don't need a backpack for doesnt need anymore than the 30W charging that the 10000mAh model I bought provides. I'm taking the big one with me to germany in 2 weeks time and I can already tell that it is going to be incredible to not have to worry about power during longer layovers
Size is probably needed t dissipate the heat from charging at 130W, but that high of a wattage makes little sense to me given it's mAh capacity. What would someone be charging that can make use of 130W but has a battery capacity of 12000mAh?? I'd rather get a slightly larger battery like the Sharge 170 and get double the capacity, higher max output wattage, and passthrough charging.
I wanted something small that was a 2 in 1 but only thing that was close to what I wanted was the Anker 733. Perfect size, GaN, multiple ports, and at least 10kmAh to tie be in between spaces without outlets. Sadly, I over looked that it’s a 30W portable and only able to charge at 65W when plugged in. 🤦🏻♂️ This model would have been perfect if it just had a wall plug. I find it way more streamlined instead of having to have a charger for my charger. Even the Shargeek chargers and the Anker 737 are missing this despite the useful displays. Foldable plugs on portable chargers FTW
Just wondering, who really uses that wattage from such a low energy density brick? (12,000mAh @ 3.7V. = 44Wh, or approx 15min of peak charging after conversion losses) Maybe cool for bragging rights, but I'll be sticking to my bantamweight Nitecore NB10000 for optimal phone and tablet boosts @20W.
Nitecore power banks can't even begin to compete. And I'm a nitecore fan. But what do I buy? The more expensive and less capable $65 NB10K, or the less expensive, more capable, higher capacity $49 Anker 12K? Hmm....
@@logangreen6977I wasn't making a price argument. Nitecore would lose, hands down! My point was who needs that amount of current from a relative low power density brick!?
@steveedwards7000 anyone who wants to be able to fast charge their phone using PD PPS protocols. Being able to charge your laptop in a pinch. There's a million things that having that ability offers. Use case I have is charging lipo batteries over USB-C. Charger can output 6 amps, but requires a power supply or power bank capable of 20v and 65w. Nitecore would fail at voltage alone, much less actual power output of 65w. Don't get my wrong, I love nitecore. Have a ton of flashlights from them. But they designed their power banks around being able to charge just that. Their products. And it does that well. But a lot of modern day phones can accept a higher charge rate at a higher voltage and current rate. The NB10K just isn't worth the price in 2024. Not until they do some serious refreshing. Even their top of the line lithium battery charger (UMS4) still uses Micro USB as the power input.
I like your stuff but hard pass on that! When it comes to travelling nothing beats the super light 10k mah Nitecore carbon powerbank super small and weighing below 200grams
Also costs $65, and can't provide anything higher than 12v output. Anker 12k has more capacity, still compact, 130w output, smart display, and only costs $49. Seems like a no brainer to me.
@@logangreen6977 yea in the end it comes down to what you need. I am having especially hiking or lightweight stuff for a sling backpack in mind. And just for loading a smartphone or similar this is just perfect

I thought about buying the 12k, but purchased the 20k version on Amazon when it was on sale.
Both are great!
I love anker, but the size of that thing for only 12,000 mAhours is way behind the times
wrong.
It's that size because it gives 130W. The ones you're thinking of probably can't even charge a phone that's on because the wattage is so low

You can get a 20k 30watt for the same size just saying @Antenox
@@walle226no you can’t lol you’re way overexaggerating its size. I have a 25K and this 12K and they’re not even close in size lmao you’re trippin

Ahh finding the perfect power bank is a lot like finding the perfect bag…HARD! 🤣 totally understand your dilemma
Can this be used with surface 5?
I can’t see why not! Unlikely to charge more than than 40-50% if I had to guess though

Definitely not an ad. :))

We’ll have to get our hands on that too. Thanks for the rec!
Love my Nitecore lights, but the power banks are not up to par. Especially for travel. The 10k has two USB-C ports. Great! They only do 22w each.....

Are you wearing a Mido x Hodinkee Ocean Star GMT? Niiiice. Especially apropos for a travel EDC channel
Good eye! It’s a fantastic watch top to bottom and totally agree.
I prefer the fin shape of the Sharge 20 000 mAh with more juice and faster charge speed
Yay, Bullet Double Compartment 18 in Ultra. :)
yo, inetresting . ))
