      Lol...Of course, although I watch EmRatThich's excellent coaching videos religiously and so do all my friends at the club, we don't see him brakedown the techniques first hand, but give analysis of the pro's of which is very valuable. I believe a great coach should inspire players with the way they play... It's obvious that you have trained to a high standard. So good luck!!

    Yangyang i have an un-related question . It is about coaching : at the beginner level i see often better players trying to help starters , poor starters are given 20 advices in half-hour ...they get
    overloaded , discouraged , finally give up and never come back. Can you do a topic on how the helpers should go slowly , progressively . Thank you so much for your help. The title could be ....cheers.

    Your video is pretty detailed and please take my big Thank You for your job.
    I'm not a coach, I'm an amateur player, and i'll try to illustrate what i'm looking for when it comes to table tennis lessons.
    What can I advise? Emphasize more on mistakes that beginners make, because your movement is relaxed and looks natural, but beginners' don't. Very often we think that we can repeat or even copy your movement, but in fact we don't)))) and not many students can realize it! e.g. I'm not a beginner but my elbow is a little higher at the end of the movement than i want it to be. That's MY problem. But people can face with many others during forehand topspin. And I'm pretty sure you are aware of all of them. So you can list em!)
    Though your motion looks powerful it's more like a woman version of it, especially when it comes to close-to-the-table range. I believe most of watchers are boys and they should learn wider motion.
    Thank you again for what you are doing.
    true fan

    • @yangyangTT
      @yangyangTT  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for all your details, I will think to add the the mistakes part, but may not include all the mistakes people could make, cause that requires lots of experience.
      For the style thing, you are right. Well, as I mentioned in my video, there are many different kinds of forehand topspin, close to the table, or far away from the table, powerful or speed, that suits different players with their different styles, my style(which is close to the table) is something you can start with.

    Thanks for the tutorial. However, there is some difference between how you do it and how top players go about it. It appears that instead of brushing the ball upwards at an angle from your forearm for generating topsin, you are hitting the ball in the forward direction. Top players hit it from the rotation of their waist while simultaneously generating topsin from ground up from their forearm.

    around minute 9 your right leg moves forward from the left leg, is it right ? i believe dont help you to transfer well the weight, so it can happen that you will do pivot on the right leg and your body will be in the position of backhand, what do you think ? the 21 boy has the angle of contact to close and dont use the wrist the way you and 28 players do, thanks, yor tutor are really clear and good to show to my Young players to improve their knoledge

I know that every players adapt the technique to his own personality, so what is confortable for you maybe cannot be for another player. Is no possible to judge 21 boy from 1 minutes of video, i dont say is not a good player.Please, let me say, the way you answer is not going to the direction of a productive dialog. I really respect you for the free time and passion you show for the development of table tennis , if i dont trust you, i will not download your video and show to my boys, like i'm doing now. Thanks

      Thanks I will do research on it. Only on Loop and Top-Spin I think I might know where the difference is, Top-Spin is over the table an attacking strike and loop is more up wards "lifting the ball" you do when playing VS a defender against back-spin or you loop the ball when it did pass the highest point and under the hight of the table ?
      But the difference between Counter and Drive I do not know and also not Flick and Flip.

    Тo improve your videos, shoot the techniques from a different angle, explain the strokes by separation them into body and arm parts. The contact with the ball is very important - show carefully and closely. Show the wrist - whether it is fixed or not and how it handles the ball . Otherwise , nothing is understood by people. Good luck !
