    Thank you for this helpful tip! I’ve been doing a lot more jumping trying to move side to side than actual weight transfer so this is a very good demonstration. I look forward to improving my game!

    Great subject to cover. I definitely belong to the category without any weight transfer. The motion actually looks a lot like tossing an object across your body

    Great tip. It's very helpful when show us the which are the wrong techniques that are most common to people. Keep this up because it really helpful to see which wrong techniques that I am currently doing. I am using wrong technique #4 =) Now I need to make some adjustment to get low and weight transfer for an explosive spiny forehand loop.

      It's so important. When you use your legs more, you can use your arm less. It actually increases consistency in strokes!

    Thank you for this video. If I may suggest, you could add an explanation on how to do weight transfer within a rally. It is clear how you explain the process of doing a single stroke with the weight transfer but you could also add how to do it repeatedly while incorporating footwork and the “jumping steps” and how you move as if there is a spring in your legs as what you have shown during your demonstration. The reason that I suggested this is that some players do weight transfer without moving so when the ball goes irregular, the weight transfer is not followed. Again, thank you for teaching and sharing. Happy new year! :)

  • @mathematechxblackboard1942
    @mathematechxblackboard1942 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Also, how far are you from the table? Maybe I am too close to the table when I tried what you said. What is the ideal distance of a player from the table when doing forehand drive, topspin and loop? Maybe I am not getting enough time to perform the swing because I am too close to the table. Thank you.

    • @Waingro808
      @Waingro808 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the first demonstration, she is playing far from table.

    • @yangyangTT
      @yangyangTT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      At beginning, try to stay far from the table, and ask your partner to send the balls slowly so that you will have enough time to practice weight transfer. Later on, you could use this even when you stand close to the table. Good luck~

    I mean weight transfer is important but you need to push the ground with both your legs to power hip rotation. If you only weight transfer the shot can't be very fast. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @yangyangTT
      @yangyangTT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Actually, the weight transfer is a nature movement, for top players, you can not even see they did weight transfer, the movement is so fast and nature. You will need to practice it more to get used to. By then you could even do a fast shot with weight transfer.

    Maybe there is one doubt at 2:38,
    I guess should be "swing arm down", shouldn't be "swing arm back"?

    • @yangyangTT

      For topspin loop again topspin, plz swing back more, for topspin loop against underspin, swing down more. Thanks for your question.

    How can I become pro like without doing anything ? It's so hard when you try to learn ... and you doesn't learn anything rather than how to be frustrated that some 10 years old kid is better than me and it can't even think what it is doing...

    • @TechnicalTableTennis
      @TechnicalTableTennis 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not possible. You can only get better with practice. If you want to improve fast, practice drills often and play games less.
