Question to HistoryMarche: Will you be doing a video on the strategy of the Mamluk sultan Baybars? It was Baybars who simultaneously both stopped the Mongol invasion of the western half of the middle east whilst wiping out the last remnants of the Crusader states through the astute construction of road networks, bridges and placement of spies. Amtai's book ('Mongol and Mamlukes'?) is an excellent reference for this period.
How about Damscus steel which was capable to cut knights body armour?? This was a secret weapon and surprise for the knights were coming in body armour from head to toe thinking no one can cut it.
I believe the goal of the 2nd Crusade was Damascus which would have closed of the Syrian landbridge to the Muslims had it succeeded. The crusaders would only have to worry about attacks from the North(Iraq) and south(Egypt) if they took Damascus. Richard Lionheart also believed that taking Cairo was a far better goal than Jerusalem since taking Cairo would cripple the Mamluk's powerbase whereas Jerusalem was just inconsequential to the war, but he never got the support for it.
Damascus was and still one of the most strategic cities geographically. who controls damascus can control all routes trad and militaristically around the whole region. their strategy to take damascus was the correct one but it was too late for them to implement in that situation when Muslims started to unifay. their attack of damascus made muslims unifay more.
Not to make this political but I ask the viewer to compare and contrast the strategy of the Outremer states with the strategy the modern state of Israel uses to ensure it's existence (e.g. expelling natives, inviting settlers from western countries to colonise areas, powerful military units, diplomacy to ensure divided weak neighbouring Arab states etc).
You are entirely correct. The only reason Israel really exists, is because of 1) disunity among neighboring states, 2) chaos (partially) caused by Israel (and its lackeys like the USA and EU) in Muslim states (= no time to focus on the big picture), 3) advanced weaponry of the Israelis and incompetence of many of the muslim states (only competent ones are the Turks and somewhat the Iranians).

They said in the videos that the Natives ( Muslims, Jews and most likely Christians) were driven away from the cities and that the Crusaders took their place, they brought European Christians ( Catholics I guess) to settle for free land. Also the first Crusaders murdered a lot of Muslims and I believe Jews in Jerusalem.
The Crusaders installed a pure Christian (probably pure Catholic) elite at the top of their realms, but their regimes were still fundamentally feudal and so there was room for Muslims to manage their own affairs locally, so long as they paid the requisite dues to their lord. Some Frankish agricultural settlement occurred but most of the countryside would still have been populated mainly by Muslim peasants, for whom a Christian lord was probably not that different from a Muslim one.
If European leaders were more intelligent and truly believers in their religious cause, perhaps the whole Levant would be Christian today. They had an important advantage, which is that most of the inhabitants of the Levant (natural Syria) were Christians ,but they belonged to Syriac Orthodox Church and Eastern Orthodox Church, so the extremist Crusaders did not benefit from them.
