Went down to the local dealership and purchased a Rockwood Green with dark green interior 2 weeks ago. Basically bought it off the truck. Been waiting for this for a year. Wanted to get the new interior and dash board. Really enjoying the truck. It has all the features I was looking for. Ride is smooth and there is plenty of power. Love the truck bed and the hidden trunk. It's a big deal for those who haven't seen this. Overall I am very satisfied after driving it for 2 weeks. Great for hauling stuff, but also plenty of room for friends and family. Only one quibble is the gas mileage, really wish they had a hybrid version of this, then it would be the perfect car for me. In light of this I have decided to lease this one and hope in 3 years there is a hybrid option.
Great video comparison! Originally, I had planned to get a 2025 Limited (trading up from a 2022 SEL Activity), but the deal I received for a 2024 Limited was just too good to pass up!
2025 looks more rugged, but still not as rugged as maverick. Personally I prefer the 2024 exterior. Interior I think the 2025 might be better for daily use, but 2024 looks better
Two weeks ago I test drove the Santa Cruz SEL Activity. It's a funky looking vehicle but I like it. Lots of storage spaces and has a spare tire. I would buy it but the fuel economy is holding me back. The AWD version gets 21 mpg in the city. Since I do a lot of city driving that's a deal breaker for me. I think it's a bit over priced. For $2000 to $2500 more you could get the Tucson hybrid. People often wish for a hybrid version of the Santa Cruz, but most likely that will result in the loss of the spare tire and storage area. If Hyundai would increase the city mpg to 27 I'd buy it. Instead I put a deposit down on the Ford Maverick Lariat hybrid.
I’m looking to purchase a Santa Cruz. I like the 2025 interior much better but I can get a really good deal on the 2024. Thanks for the video. The comparison really helped with my decision.
I had a 22 limited. The black chrome looks great when it's brand new, but after 2 years of driving it looked terrible when I sold it to the dealership. They didn't seem to care but I would find a way to put something on it to protect it more
Would pull the trigger on the limited ,but the deal breaker for me is no power slide rear window, once you’ve had it you find out just how useful it is to have . Was hoping Hyundai would add it for 2025 but sadly they didn’t so I guess I will wait and hope for maybe 2026 . Until then I’ll stick with my 2021 Ridgeline Black edition.
Continuing with the problematic DCT transmission is a no. Still no parking sensors or power passenger seat like on the Tucson, no power sliding rear window, again with the piano black. The remote parking feature on the Tucson should be available on the SC at this price point as well as power folding mirrors. The new steering wheel is blah. Upping the pricing on the SC is only going to turn people away to other brands, especially offering no hybrid. Smh. I have a '23 SC Limited

Good comparison. But I love the 2025 model with the new interior and buttons!! 👍
I had a 2024 sel traded up to a 2024 limited they made me a deal i could not pass up. So far so good.
Well done. Your comparison helped me decide to go with the 2025 (Rockwood Green). Saving up that down payment....
Excellent choice! I can't wait to see Rockwood Green on the Santa Cruz. I believe it will be a hit for Hyundai.
Personally I think I like the 2024 better. I really want one of these.

Glad it helped! That's the goal of most of my videos 😁
Great video. Thanks for taking the time. I'll stick with my '24 until they release a hybrid or a panaramic sunroof.
Has Hyundai been able to address the engine and transmission issues from the 2022-2024 Santa Cruz
Great video, I believe regardless of trim level they all come with the Tano Cover.
That is not correct. Only SEL Activity and higher gets the roll up cover.

What is the liquid leaking from the engine compartment ?
Condensation from the A/C system or water from the car wash

The 2025 Santa Cruz Limited does have a power passenger seat like the Tucson Limited
I do like the vehicle, but that dual clutch transmission is a deal breaker, I have not heard much good about them, but lots of problems...
Scotty Kilmer doesn't like those transmissions at all.
Does it still have auto tailgate drop from the keyphobe ?
Yes
They need to add a Hybrid version.
2024 is a lot nicer looking!!!
i am looking for hybrid is that available in 25
It is not unfortunately.
Stop with reviewing only high trim versions. How about the select activity etc: ??
Videos already posted on other trims
Oof, that piano black trim...ouch.
Finger print..for what? This is getting crazy..no way would i buy this thing tracking everything you do..
