When I first found out about Lerdsila,I could not believe how much evasive and tricky he is. He is truly one of the most underrated Muay Thai fighters of our era and definitely worth analyzing as much as possible. As always Jeff, you do an outstanding job with these breakdowns and I'm truly glad there is someone like you who promote martial arts in the right way! I would be glad if you could do some breakdowns of Mirko Cro Cop strategies for left high kick or Sagat Petchyindee tactics 😊💪🙏
Lerdsila is definitely one of a kind, takes a lot of skill with timing, and guts to pull off these evasive moves, but he does it flawlessly. Definitely a great person to look to and learn from for advanced head movement. You’re doing great too Jeff😂, keep up the good work for your fight✊
The way the technics are presented is just so good + its really useful that you show how it might look during the sparing. Just perfect video, subscribed
although shane faze has good technique he is no real fighter like jeff i watched most of his videos from street fight advices to today and his advices are very useful for beginners but after 3-4 years he is no use jeff really gives hints to apply in real fight. but would like them to collaborate still.
Another technique I learnt from khun Kru Rose, from the Tiger Phuket muay thai camp is: they grab your right leg, you instantly bend your caught leg, grab their head/neck, bend your leg (the lead leg or caught leg), as much as you can and push your leg down to the point that your shin hits their knee, you want to have it on the inside of their thigh/knee - at this stage your leg would be at a 1 o'clock/2 o'clock angle, and then you will keep on pushing down to the opposite side (as in like the outside of their leg behind their knee - i.e your leg would change to a 9 o'clock/10 o'clock angle and push behind their leg). Not easy to explain in words. I didn't explain it well. Basically, whenever I had my leg grabbed I had two choices, either get out quick, or get in quick. This one was the get in quick.
The first (0:17) and last (6:08) techniques are very common in Savate because the rules doesn't allow you to check the kicks. Just watch François Pennachio to see the perfect display of those techniques in all his fights.
I like the healthy and realistic way of sparring. Developing skills without injuring each other. Many people spar to hard. They forget the game. I'am 60 years old now, been training martial arts for 46 years, still sparring a lot, still developing skills. I can only do this by respecting my health and that of others....
We briefly spoke about collaborating. We are both def down to collab / spar but when we are in the same country! Hopefully one of us will travel soon! Thanks for the support guys!
Sensei! I loved this video. Especially the foot catch defenses. I really respect that you post failed attempts, it shows the scientific method to your madness. I learn more from mistakes sometimes. Are you still gonna fight soon? Update us!
Bro this video is so good I'm getting up getting on my pc and downloading it. Keep this up you will be champ and best coach ever I'm finally gonna check out your stuff and invest in you god this was great
6:53 tell everyone more about your new "toy". LoL! :) Great video! Very effective! I think I learned a lot just from listening and watching! New sub! Thank you!
I always did enjoy watching your head movement, the step back is very useful, before it was just sylvie's training channel that had the best Muay thai, but your videos is the best studying and training videos on youtube, just my belief anyways, keep up the good work champ and do you fight again i really want to see in the ring.
Great breakdown! Stylebender uses a lot of these as well. I can be wrong of course but at one point it felt like I was watching a stylebender breakdown. Keep going I really love these breakdowns!
Sweet thanks bro! And your probably right. You cant say only one fighter uses specific tactics when all fighters try to use all of them, but I would say Lerdsila uses these tactics the most often! Thanks for watching!
I have a muay thai class I go to so i watch this guy all the time. Well I got my foot caught and got sweep. I fucked up my wrist really bad and was scared to get caught again . But the technique grabbing the neck and jumping. Man that's kinda crazy and cool. A real good one right here. Your a pretty sick ass fighter dude. Keep up the great work. Thank you once again
practised with my little bro I can't wait to show up to martial arts class with some new tricks up my sleeve. Great content and a new subscriber. could you do a video on prince Naseem?
This video was very good! I like that last evasion, nice and simple. It's kind of annoying, it's been drilled into to me lately to stay in the pocket when sparring and check kicks etc. Maybe it's to build my confidence when under pressure taking hits, but my natural instinct is to evade and then strike, rather than check. Unless I need to of course.
very important when evading low kicks, he actually scoots back his butt (hips) at the same time he steps back. that creates more evasive space without sacrificing distance from fighter
I got to fight on one of lerdsilas undercards in Van nuys CA over 8 years ago. He dismantled a very high level Japanese fighter. It can’t be understated how fast he is in real life
On a serious note, that leg grab thing. When they have already pulled it close into the left side of their body, you want to do the same thing, in the sense you bend the knee of your kicking leg, in this case the right knee sharply, twist your leg to face upwards, but more importantly your right foot should go from facing 9:00 left to 13:00/14:00 right, use the heal of your foot to kick off his lead hip. The same movements as he is showing but you can do the same close quarters and when your leg has already been properly grabbed.
The first tactic was consistently used by Dany Bill - the most technical non-thai nak muay and Burklek Pinsinchai. Burklek has like a 168 win and only 8 losses.
Bro! I was just watching some lerdsila fights like 4 days aho and tought Jeff should make a video about him haha imagine my surprise, nice video, as alwasy bro!
I definitely gotta look up this MT fighter now bro. Jeff as always you are too awesome and absolutely love the video my bro. What are some good footwork drills my bro???
i work really basic footwork drills. Push off the rear foot and step forward with lead foot to move forward, push off lead foot and step back with rear foot to move backwards and the same to go right or left. Then also circling. I work these just in my warm up when I shadowbox! But I will make note of this and if I learn new footwork drills I will def make a video of it. Thanks brother
Thank u so much for this video. Sorry I couldn't watch your other video about the diet. Please sign up with the UFC. U r a great fighter my friend. Keep up the good work. I plan on using these for.......don't worry about it. Please do a Curtis blaydes
The way you explain the tactics while showing actual sparring footage is something all other TH-cam martial artist needa take notes on
thanks for the feedback!
@@MMAShredded I've been asking this forever what's the music you use at the end lmao plz
Seriously call them other dudes up an teach them a thing or two it would make for better content
Don't want to sound like a fan boy, but mate your skills are sharp in this video.
I appreciate the support brother
All your videos are so usefull. Also it is very good that you use real sparring footage to show that the tacticts actually work.Keep it up man.
Thanks so much brother , I will! You keep up the training !
Your welcome bro. Maybe you could do best tactics used by Anderson Silva, he is one of my favourite fighters. I would appreciate that man.
Okay stay tuned bro, I will make a video on Anderson Silva!

dude youre the best mma channel to actually show your moves with sparring. I got your back bro
thanks brother!
The thing I like about your videos is you go indepth into the striking aspect of mma. Other TH-camrs mostly just talk about submissions and shit.
glad you like my videos! thanks for the support!
5:45 was a sick dodge! the guy kind of really went for it too! haha i had to replay that part a few times i got hype lol
haha! thanks for watching
2:14 dude sparring with airpods in smh haha

My grandma could beat up Fazen, he's a fraud. Nothing but a smooth talking fraudster. I don't know why people follow his bulldust.
Perfect, very clear. Hope to train with you someday. Thank you very much from an humble Muay Thai lover.
thanks so much for the support, I would love to meet/train with you one day too!
Your videos are awesome! Very well explained and detailed with actual sparring and you even include the failed attempts. Keep up the awesome work!

Do you feel that evasion - breaking distance is superior in MMA context as opposed to blocking? As it helps to also defend against takedowns
I definitely think so yes!
very important when evading low kicks, he actually scoots back his butt (hips) at the same time he steps back. that creates more evasive space without sacrificing distance from fighter
This was the first martial art youtuber that I watch that is not base on fantasy!
