Khabib's ground control is much more impressive than the takedowns. Even strong guys struggle against Khabib. Khabib has some packed raw power with pure technics when it comes to the ground.

Basic Freestyle wrestling controls. Check out Khabib's idol Busaivar Saitiev, from 1990s/2000s. You'll see all Khabib's controls and more.

@@kallepikku4991 Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying he is bad at wrestling. Definitely, he is one of the best MMA wrestles ever, hands down. But when it comes to the ground control, he is unmatched.
He is the combination of everything, and that's what makes him the great.

And he is giving all of his weight to the opponent. He is tiring his opponents by giving them his weight. He is very smart.

@@MMAShredded Interesting. I didn't see this video before the Conor fight, but I came to the opposite conclusion after watching a bunch of stuff from Khabib. I was new to grappling at the time with about a year of experience in BJJ. But coming from a striking background myself, I started to be more and more confident that Khabib was gonna win as the fight drew closer.
The interesting thing, though, is that this video probably would have convinced me further, but you drew the opposite conclusion? 🤔

Wow, it is really hard skill, whether to learn it or master it or to apply it on the fight. Now I'm truely appreciated Khabib's style in mma and how valuable his skill is and this fighting style. I'm actually sees this type of fighting is boring before and alway asking what is it so good about his fighting, why nobody can defeat him but after watching this now i really understand why many peoples admire him and why he is still undefeated. Thanks a lot for the video, it so educational.

  • @chrisrobbins3888

One thing I noticed about how Khabib controls his opponents is how he utilizes the body-lock. He puts pressure on opponents’ bodies/hips at angles at they’re not used to. For example, when you see khabib on top of someone with the body lock, he seems to not pull straight towards his own body, but actually at an angle towards his own center of gravity. This, along with his top pressure with his own body, makes the fighter crunch into himself, suffocating him and giving him less opportunity to bounce back up and very few directions to move towards, especially considering that the cage cuts off 180 degrees of movement. This makes life very easy for Khabib in this position.
It’s amazing to watch khabib. He always looks like he’s sucking his opponents into his center of gravity. It’s a much different style of wrestling than the one American collegiate wrestlers bring into MMA.

No don't do it, if you fucked up that throw, your oponent will take your backs and propably beat you. He ca do it because he has black belt in Judo. I have seen many MMA fighters, without Judo backround, trying to do more complicated Judo throws and they usualy fucked up, because you don't see what is behind that throw, tranzition of weight and other things.

His real magic is the ground and pound how he twists them and arm traps. While these are nice transitions, the “win “ techniques are his arm ties . That’s the real magic. Love what you do brother!!!!!!

@@MMAShredded BTW: I think you should consider checking out "The Bioneer" dude has the bio hacker mindset, he focuses on biological/science`y approach to fitness/body training for martial arts. He just got a collab with a Kicking dude, but beyond your shared love for Bruce Lee (who hasnt got that), I really think you would overlap perfectly. Also you could consider doing online "matery courses" like Trav from Fight smart if you wanna go full time(and make some money).
