I know it's a game but does anyone else go to these conventions and wonder how the heck they got the massive ships into the convention halls?
They build em in there
I imagine the roof opens. Maybe one day we will be able to watch the ships coming in.
Side note: At manufacturer car shows like the Paris or Detroit auto show the cars are wiped down and cleaned throughout the day. Imagine the crew that has to clean the 890 after it has landed in the convention hall. Do the set up scaffolding or do they repel down from the top?
Usually in IRL conventions like this theres a massive garage door somewhere that they wheel stuff in through. Probably a similar situation here. Maybe the roof opens and they lower them down from the sky or something.

People don't like the Cutlass Steel because it is a flying coffin where you can get 30 of your friends in it to go in and die by one light fighter. It doesn't have enough HP or Shields to actually act as a drop ship safely.

Gah, a thousand original Cat concept pledgers just "REEEE"'d in unison. The Caterpillar is a large modular multipurpose ship, which just hasn't gotten it's modularity yet. Or the command module docking. Or the cargo elevators, as you pointed out. It's kind of a sore topic for us 😅

@@LCBChef18 Yea i built my own and was my first build. Ryzen 9 twin 2080ti GP. 64 gig ram. star citizen always plays smooth and play every game in ultra setting with no issues.
Was a rewarding feeling. but i also build and repair my own cars also so a pc was nothing really.

Drake has its own exhibition after DefenseCon, as they aren't an official defense contractor. They always have their ships at IAE

400i is a great ship, they should turn the larger temperature regulated room into a med bed.
I love the 85X. It's the perfect ship to take your buddy or girl to Daymar or Microtech for some low flying. Space BMW goes hard
Olli: Drake is never invited to Fleet Week (ILW). They're usually part of IAE, in fact they sponsored last year's with the Cutter introduction.

I feel like the Cutlass Steel would be equivalent to a Blackhawk helicopter, and I am picturing a bunch of them being launched from a Kraken with fighter support. That's the kind of Star Citizen gameplay I want to experience.

I also just built a brand new top end machine, same spec as yours, so for me performance has been 100 fps plus on max graphics, but I've heard a lot of peopled complaining that NB is a slideshow... congrats on the new build!

Ollie I got star citizen. I’ve been needing a new game and I love everything about having my own ship in a vast explorable world. I’ve been glued to it for 3 days and no signs of stopping
Just for clarification, you have the same customizations for all of the 300i varients, you are just limited to 1 upgrade each meaning if you want to change the loadout you need to melt and rebuy.
The Corsair remains folded because that is when it looks like a sail ship!
At this point Ollie's videos just consist of "So if you dont know..." and "Ohhhh it's so coool," and i love it 🤣 ❤

You would think the Cats cargo doors would come all the way down to ground and left back up like a Box Trucks left same principle would apply would be simple.
Hoping the Raft is available for sale tomorrow. Picked up the 400i yesterday, been waiting for it to come available finally.
Editing to say that you should do a video on the 85x. It is a fantastic little ship to get from one of the main planet surfaces to its space station. It isn't really good for anything else, though it has a little bit of onboard storage accessible from the outside menu only. I have tried the weapons on it, but to be fair, that isn't what it is meant for. You can fire back, and then boot, scoot, and boogie on out the area. I definitely see it pairing well with the 890, maybe even a couple of them since they are small, just for taxi/ferry purposes - quick jaunts to a planet or satellite surface.
Hell, an 890 with half a dozen of these can take a 12-man squad down to hostile territory on a planet surface very, very quickly. You should test it, but QT from New Babbage to Port Tressler in 3 seconds or less, and from NBIS to QT jump altitude of approximately 10K takes 60 to 75 seconds, depending on if you set your engines to 100% and you control the boost.
I'm rambling, my apologies.
85x is wildly underrated. Also the Raft. Its range is insane and has my favorite interior in the game. Would love a Raft variant with the starfarer's fuel pods and the rear tractor could be a refueling arm. Make a great candidate for the refueling career starter.
Welcome to owning a 400i. Been my favorite daily for a year now. Perfect amount of all the things you need for an adventure. Can’t wait for the X1 to complete it
ARGO Raft will be available during and after the ARGO days. I'm not sure for how long though. At least through the 30th/end of IAE. Be aware of the stopping distance though. I rented one a few years ago when it was first in game. Flew it up to the planetary station and promptly crashed into that station.

the two taps is actually pretty realistic , usually its easier to make 2 systems for hot/room temp water look up the international space station tour youll see this exact system fyi :P

The M50 always looked like a Ferrari to me. Can't wait to get into tuning and racing.

used the 315p rental today for its intended purpose: moving boxes into cargo ships. It handles like a brick above SCM, but it has a great view and finesse for delicate cargo work. Moved millions of aUEC tonight in salvage
The Mule would be really useful, if you can transport unstable material in a stabilized way. Then it doesn't matter that only a little fits in.

The scavenger ship looks like a Combine. If you grew up on a self sufficient farm then you have likely seen one.
There's also a little train inside the kraken. Little tip if you do buy one, if you melt if you wont be able to buy back because iys tied to a spectrum badge you recieve on inital purchase. If you go to get it again it will say badge already owned and won't let you buy it

I am a drake guy, but totally replaced my black with a C1. The C1 flies better, handles better, and has equivalent firepower.

what would be a game changer (literally lol) is if you could "customize" and decor your ship, basically put stuff in it, make it more homey I suppose
also, if stuff you do in the game, would actually have a real time impact on the whole universe (locally or globally) and every player could notice or feel that impact

The difference between the two cutters is in the scout the door in the cargo bay is centered to make room for the scanner thing but in the standard cutter it is too the right. (I dunno if you figured that out I’m commenting this right when you were trying to figure out)
Anyone else think the Cutter is BASICALLY just a Space Volkswagen van? Not that I'm complaining tho. : )

Your new computer is running very nicely and it does look amazing hopefully one day I can play this amazing game
* I always hate the fact that they only ever show off the 600i Touring which has a completely different interior than the 600i Explorer. The major part of the rework is only being done on the Explorer such as med beds, larger cargo bay (which will fit a Tonk), scanner room, etc. But all you ever see shown is the luxury touring model which is not being all that changed.
* If I had to choose between the 400i and the Corsair, the Corsair wins hands down.
* Drake is not invited during the military show called Invictus because the UEE Navy refuses to use Drake's ships even though they are used by civilian defense forces.
* The caterpillar has two tractor beams, one on each side.
* Would it help you to like the center room on the Corsair if it was a data center? I had thought the original idea for that room was for data running but nothing has been said about it since it came out.
* There was also a rumor at one time that there were going to be sub-floors like the MSR. You would enter them behind the co-pilot's seat in the down position.
The Buccaneer is categorised as a "light interceptor", behaves like a medium fighter, and is outmanouvered by the heavy fighter Scorpius.
CIG did the Buccaneer dirty.

okay, I have said this before and I will say it again. It would be cool to have a PC in game that you can watch TH-cam, Movies or even browsing the internet. Though Movies and TH-cam would still be cool.
But what would be really cool would be seeing the Upload date, xxxxx Amount of YEARS ago would be very cool to see.

It would be interesting to have cheaper fighters that lack the hovering thrusters / anti-grav technology so if you're under gravity you'd need a runway to land and take-off.

Kraken has not sold out on wave 3 for 2 hours, people must not want it too bad.
I have a couple of those Krakens and I'm afraid they're making them far too small... It doesn't work as a physicalized environment at the size they greyboxed.

Cutlesses are definitely the most iconic ships in the game. I sometimes go to reddit Cutless vs Freelancer posts. It's a question asked since the dawn of time 😅.
The roof of the corsair should have a small barrier so you can go up there and snipe from behind it. I don't understand its current use.
pretty sure the show room ships are a little more "DETAILED" with lighting to make the texture just pop also the lifts normally don't work on most the ships

I could already imagine the future when CGI will implement new in-game features and mechanics + new components like Life Support System and Air shield System for Airlocks and Doors.
cuttlass black is THE star citizen ship imo. So iconic. Only other one that comes close in my mind are the connie's
Great rig...looks very smooth. Kraken... I have a very unpopular oppinion of it. Out of all capital ships , the kraken interrests me the least.
I used to have the 300i as my daily until I got the Rescue. It is fantastic.
Small to medium Origin and Crusader ships absolutely do it for me. Still annoyed they dramatically reduced the hydrogen fuel on the 400i.

24:00 people dont like it because the middle seats take up all the space you could put a cyclone, roc or anything else in..
And seats have NO PURPOSE in the game now. There's no reason to "need" 12 seats when 12 players could just stand up (or lay prone) in ANY OTHER SHIP that doesnt even have any chairs. Thats why. It's a cool well-armed ship, but it ruins the cargo bay for zero benefit.
I adore the Drake line of ships but, just really like the feal of duct tape and shoestrings keeping it a flight that I like. But I do need to say now that RSI has the Zeus, Galaxy and Apollos on the way I'm starting to really like RSI as well.
The Devs have acknowledged the feedback about the 2 box issue on the vulture and a non-tractor beam fix in the work according to Spectrum post

You should commission a sculpture artist / model maker to make some star citizen ship models. You'd get a cool model, and they would find a new market for their model making skills!
the 600i rework can't come fast enough ... it's just too much ship to have such wastes of practical space inside. I mean it's neat and I just got it back ...again lol but for an "exploration" ship the use of space was so bad someone should be slapped lol
I prefer the design of the 400i's front landing gear and tbh I wish they'd do something similar with the 600i's front leg cause it looks bad to me... I just like the sleekness of how they incorporated the ship's design into the front landing gear! as for the kraken and the org building... it's more of a case of Build it and they will come, your a chill dude i'm gonna have my own exploration org expand but if your ever on EU servers in the future I was thinking I can ally with your org note cause we're both English but because your a chilled and decent seeming dude and we both like similar style ships I say I hate drake but I love em, I love origin's 400i and 890j and I love the Syulen with a passion and i'm just as curious about the next Gatac ship now who knows might be ma new favourite!!!

Literally just tilt the bay doors down to an angle and have panel ramps that telescope out from them. Easy.
the Kraken Privateer is still up for sale warbond at this moment. i got my kraken near the end of the event in 2021. it sat for 2 days showing available and my intrusive thoughts made me buy it not even sad about it . i just need CIG to release the Kraken for Pyro lol
Also i am hopeful it and the other Holo ships are near done. ive noticed the last 3 years that every ship in the Holo view ends up being released a year later.. Redeemer,Corsair,Vulture,hull C to name a couple

Kraken privateer is stupid expensive for being a Merchant. You can have 3 merchantman for that price 😂😂
Also I think the Kraken are very vulbarable ship platforms. One bomb and every ship on the deck is gone.
I just want a ship that could carry a vulture inside. So I can salvage with that and store in the main ship. Now i feel like the reclaimer is better option for solo cause of the cargo hold it already has.
I think you can customise all the 300 series. I know my 315p is customised fully from the pledge store.
Drake is not invited to the Invictus Launch Week as they do not provide any ships to the military.

the cutter scout has a s2 power generator and cooler, its smaller next to the bed, the Steel is weak like 2 shots its dead lol, i once was flying the herald and got dropped out of warp by pirates and the Herald went 0-1500 in like 3 seconds i smoked those pirates i was flying so fast lol, i might melt my corsair for the tali bomber, the turrets on the corsair suck really bad lol, you say you love the mule but you call yucky lol

Does anybody know if the Constellation bug has been fixed? The bug where you get in the snub fight and go to undock and you just get stuck and have to leave the game then re-enter?
