Have you shot the 50/110 Lever Action ? And what do you think about that Lever Action ?
“I need to shoot my guns more often. Like all of them, every day”. That’s the best, most accurate, most appropriate statement ever uttered by anyone
Mr. Hickock...This may be a bit sappy, but I can not express to you just how much you have meant to me in my education of firearms over the last 15 or so years. My god has it been THAT long? I used to watch your videos with a very good friend, and mentor, of mine until he passed away in 2018. We used to watch you "gabbin" on the range and just enjoy the heck out of every minute. Every time I see you post a new video, I'm reminded of Dave. He bought a Henry lever gun because of one of your videos and I also use your "reviews" any time I'm thinking about a new purchase. You're an incredibly helpful and engaging teacher and I hope you understand the positive impact you've had on the gun owning community! Even though I've never met you in person, I feel like I've known you for years. I cannot tell you enough how much of a positive impact you've had on my own life just by being you on video. Thank you, and thank you to John as well.
"It helps to have ammo, doesn't it?" That reminds me of something my Grandfather taught me: "Rich or poor, it's always best to have money."
That cocking sound…..Music to my ears. Love that sound. That and the Garand ping 👍
Dang, there's sparks flying off the gong with that third shot.
Lever actions are plain cool
These videos are like listening to your wise old grandpa tell you about guns.
While smoking pot
While smoking pot 😊
Three things a man needs in life: God, Guns, and Hickok45
Praise GOD! Jesus Christ!
Right👍🤠❄
Hell yeah wonderful way to start the day with some hickok45 and some coffee
I have the standard version of the 1894 Classic. I’ve paired it up with my Ruger Super Blackhawk, also in .44 magnum. They’re a great pair. Thank guys, always enjoy the show, be well.
I love that for years he’s said some of the same jokes and they are still funny every time like “let’s smoke a little pot” 😂
I just got me a redhawk 5.5” 44 mag. Gonna need me a ruger marlin 44 mag to go along with it.
Howdy Mr Hickok45. Good to see you still having fun. My dad absolutely loved watching your videos 😎
I have the mate to this one in 45 Colt and minus the checkering. Love my Marlin rifles 😎
Mine has the octagon barrel too... and feeds 44 special just fine.
Hickok you're quite a bowler. What a strike! 🙂
First shot bullseye 🎯 the legend lives, been watching your videos since I was 14 I'm 26 now God bless you sir
Love this man’s videos
If you open the action, look at the top of the slide. The engraved numbers on the rh side hang up on the guns receiver while the hammer cock tab is pushing up on the slide. Causing the action to hang up. Take an emory board and sand/file the engraved numbers smooth. Clean and regrease the slide and the hammer tab on the bottom.
My dad had a 444 Marlin with a short relief scope on it. This gun reminds me of it. I learned to hold it firmly, but others, well lets just say it busted many an eyebrow back in the day.
Marlin make very nice lever action rifles.
Enjoy your video's, informative yet therapeutic, you remind me of my Grampa. Could listen to him for hours. Carry on.
As a reloader, there is no reason to fire .44 Special in this gun. Load .44 Mag brass charged light with lead bullets.
Me too. I load light for my 69 and 29, full loads for hunting. I never shoot lead bullets, its harder to keep the barrel clean.
I had one years ago that I lost in a house fire. It was my go from rockchucks to crows to deer. I really do miss that rifle
Yes all of them, every day. I concur Sir.
Really like the longer barrel on the rifle, beautiful rifle all around. Thank for sharing!
Now, I like all of my firearms (especially my AR-15, YAY SWEDEN!) but my Marlin 1894 in .44 magnum with a 20" barrel holds a special place in my heart ❤️
It's great to see people taking their safety into their own hands and standing up against criminal activity. Stay safe out there, everyone!
💪 lever guns are awesome
love these lever guns. my dad has a 30-30 marlin
I have one just like it in 44-40! They are great rifles!
Awesome video nice marlin 1894 44 rifle thanks for sharing Hickok45
Such a beautiful rifle! Greetings from Bologna, Italy
Mervelous Marlin thanks uncle!
I love to see you hickok. God bless you
I used to have a Marlin Golden 39 .22 that would shoot .22 shorts, .22 longs, .22 long rifles interchangeably. While I never had any long cartridges to try out, it would hold something like 29 short cartridges in its extremely long magazine. It felt like you could shoot forever when plinking with shorts. It was a great gun. I foolishly traded it off, but got a Model 39 M to replace it some time later.
I have that one, one of my favorite guns in my collection.
I had one long ago!
Great gun,great caliber!
Great rifle, my old marlin (rem-lin) shoots 44spcl and 44mag
The sound is soooo beautiful.
Very Nice Rifle ❤ Thank you for this Video.
Big boss, that was 10 so flipping quick , man ! Too hell with those other round's , man . l love that 44 it pack's a perfect punch that l need , man . Also what a great shot with that Glock on the frigging gong , man . That 44 will take out and keep down the peligrosa coming down on UAP's then departing on hover board's too face peel teenage girls for there robot's . Bad time's these day's .
Have a Henry Golden in 44 mag, would like a Marlin as well, Henry's brass buckstock gets to you after a bit.
Put some skate tape on mine and that kept the butt from slipping off my shoulder.
Mine is the brass carbine in 44mag.
What I like about a Henry is if you get a jamming issue, you can easily unload it with the tube design they use. I have 4 different lever's all 357/38 and no issues with the 38's. One is a JM Marlin
[Sigh] I used to have one of those, from pre-Remington days. Like a _fool_ I sold it to a work buddy. Lovely gun. Now I have a Rossi R92 .357 mag and it's pretty nice too.
I love Lever guns. Got a Marlin 45-70
Hickok- let’s hunt sum buffalo
Buffalo- 🦬
Bye son.
Beautiful rifle.
Thanks for the video even the best Miss once in awhile
Marlin is famous for creating lever guns that feed various length. The 1897 will shoot shorts, longs and long rifle. My model 94 lists 38/357 on the barrel. Both cycle evenly smooth. Clay
Great deer rifle and pistol combination paired with a Model 29.
Fantastic cartridge 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
Thank you
I've heard older Marlins have that feeding issue, but the new Ruger made Marlins seem to be feeding the specials more reliably from what I've seen
My 1894 also completely jams when i load more than 2 or 3 44 specials into it. Same malfunction as yours. Completely jammed usually need to remove the lever and bolt to clear the stoppage. If i load 44 spec brass with the bullet not seated as deep it works better so i believe its a problem with the shorter length. I believe this is a well known problem with them. I just stick to 44 mag brass and load them down to 44 spec pressure. I cannot pick a favorite rifle but this one is up there.
What a sweet shooter❤
Always a good time to go Marlin on that gong
I have the identical rifle in the same calibee its a great gun and a beautiful one
I have its brother looks just like it! Checkering and all! Love that 24" over the carbine!
Mine does not like the Monoplast nor does the 45/70 flat tip runs much better in mine!
its almost as if hickok knows we're buying a jm 1894 soon and uploaded a video to encourage it
Hey partner. Nice to see you’re doing well. Enjoying the videos recently.
I have a Rossi 44 magnum with the 24"octagon barrel. I've never tried specials in it but I'm probably going to pick up some and try them sooner or later. I just wish 44 ammo wasn't so ridiculously expensive.
How is this possible? My first first?
congrats
Range finder.
🎉
Won't be your last
Second round on the gong made a fire flash
I guess those SDI classes are coming in handy.
I'm still partial to the trappers, like a Rossi 1892 .44 Magnum, quick pointing and deadly!
1894 rifle chambered for a 1950's pistol round; boy, those guys were ahead of their time.
Damn. That hits hard
Earliest I’ve been to a Hickok video
I'm fairly certain that my Henry big boy says on the barrel 44 special and 44 magnum. I haven't tried any specials in it. Also, my Henry 22 has no issue feeding and firing 22 shorts Nor does my Marlin bolt gun.
Living the dream.
My dad reloads 44 magnum.
He puts in less powder to make his own 44 special rounds for the range.
That's the best thing to do. They are designed for a longer case than the .44 Special case. It would be nice, of course, if a person could just pick up some factory .44 Special or .38 Special and be able to shoot them reliably in the magnum rifles. That said, it's better that they be 100% reliable with the magnum cartridges, rather than 90% reliable with either length.
Great firearm!
So are we mr. Hickok so are we...🤪
It's beautiful
Great job. I want one or four 😅
I’ve run specials in my 1894 Octagon and they ran fine, I’m surprised they didn’t run
T-Shirt: LOS POLLOS HERMANOS ...... hahahahaha....regards from Guatemala...Life is good !!!
Awesome!
Love it!
Thanks for sparing us the surgical procedures. I love that old lever gun. Seeing it jam put a knot in my gut as it was.
I’m curious as to what’s up with that lifter, and if there is any possibility of adjustment that would accommodate both rounds?
I’m speculating that the rifle was made with clock like precision to fire the magnum round .
Please don’t neglect to report back to after you look into this further.
My Henry Big Boy in 44 will function with whatever I’ve run through it, from my handloads to steel 44 specials.
Your Marlin probably just needs a little tuning.
Excelent how powerfull is that...
I'd love to see the marlin 45-70 dark next...
What a beauty, i want one.
Great shooting with the Marlin. Thanks Hickok!
I've got a 45 long colt rossi lever action my q8is which do you like better 44 / 357/ or the 45
Level that damn table !!!
As to the cycling problems with .44 Special, check the lifting tray timing, and maybe try cycling the lever a bit gentler, might be a minor over center problem in the timing.
i have the legend cowboy pellet rifle😊 looks and operates like the real thing
Those rounds get there so fast 😂
Yes
Sweet ❤
Love it
Looking for one after Ruger ramps up production of more historic Marlin models.
We need some cz600 lux🤙🏻
My sbl marlin does the same thing, the hammer hangs up under the slide while cycling slowly.
I've never actually tried 44 special in mind. I have a henry Big boy.
Life is good
I have two Rossi R-92s and a Henry Big Boy, all chambered in 44 mag. And none of them have a problem with 44 special rounds from various manufacturers. If that Marlin can't handle 44 special ammo, there is something wrong with it.
@@-hickok.45 Some day I'd like to tell you the story of my Henry rifle and how I came to know Anthony Imperator, the owner of Henry Repeating Arms. A very nice and impressive man who bends over backwards to satisfy his customers. A true gentleman.
