512ft lbs from a 9mm? Whoa that’s hot stuff.
Mhmm
Indeed. 👍
Very good 9mm!
That exceeds a few loadings of Underwood's 45acp +p offerings. Smoking hot 9mm
Feels like a 40 cal 😮 lol
Corbon was the stuff to have in the late 90s when I became a man. Glad to see they’re still making man-stoppers today. Also where you live is gorgeous!
Their stuff has been pretty impressive.😎👊
I too remember carrying 115 gr 1350 fps 466ft/lb 9mm and loved 'em. Against departmental policy too (off duty.)
How much for these per round?
Thanks for the vids👍
Hahaha...me too. My agency at the time used federal hydra shok 124 grain +p+ out of Sig Sauer P226(Jefferson County Police Department..Louisville Kentucky)...then went on to the County Attys Office Warrant division and switched to glock 21!!! Those were the days...corbon was loaded HOT!!! 95-early 2000s@johnmatthes8608
Another one of their bullets that might be interesting to see is their 185gr .45 ACP +P. It should be moving along pretty fast for a .45 bullet and hit with substantial energy. Though I'm uncertain if it will expand to the diameter of the more modern HST.
@@cgsimons1187 it will likely expand and fragment if it's their old Sierra bullet 185 grain at or around 1150fps
Just don't get married to Evil. She'll take everything. 😂
😆😆😆
Twice.
@@ToolsandTargetsI really like the force from the hit with the G17 cause it lifted the gel up more than most 10mm ammo did. Plus it stayed together better than I expected. You got the right shirt on! 👕😂
@@billdye3530 It knocked the cloth off so hard, it confused the chrono for a second.😆 😎👊
@elliottscott6179 I got you beat brother, 4 for me and lost everything every time. Last time was 2016 just before I retired from LE and she hooked up with one my LE "brothers" I worked with.
That is some pretty impressive performance! And it's nice to see a company that honestly represents their product. I'd take the Powrball if I had a choice, but I'd be happy with either.
Agreed. Very cool to see the little differences they get with the different insert material.
I shot some Federal Hi Shok 9BP into my pool and that's what it looked like expanded. Old style hollow point construction.
Good stuff.😎👍
Federal perfected the Hydrashock over the years so now it is a darn good bullet. Still popular with LEO agencies.
@@PassivePortfoliosyou're thinking of HST, albeit Hydra-Shok is the predecessor to that round
Great review! Corbon has always made great cartridges especially their 135 grain .40 S&W which according to the book "Stopping Power" is a devastating cartridge when employed by LEO's in mid 1990's.
Appreciate that!😎👊
That was an effective round that was advertised as +P on the box. That Ammunition was discontinued as it was too hot for that 135 grain bullet.
I still have a few rounds of that stuff! G-23 loved them!
Holy 🐄 🎉 458 FPE from a sub compact will put a thumpin' om a bad guy. Wow.
Yeah, these last few Corbon rounds have been pretty impressive.
That's almost 357sig energy out of a subcompact very impressive
It's almost 357 mag. territory.
@@PassivePortfolios definitely from the full size barrel.
We all need to nominate Tools & Targets for a Gundies Award! His show is one of the best!
As a 52 year old who grew up seeing 'Conjunction Junction', I'm Just a Bill', 'Interjections' and the rest of the School House Rock shorts in between Saturday morning cartoons that were still worth watching I like your shirt!
To the best if my recollection I have never tried CorBon in any caliber. Looks lije some good stuff.
Thank you sir! There will never be a Saturday morning experience like that again!😎👊
Corbon does know how to make some high velocity bullets that are pretty much guaranteed to expand. This would make a fine carry round for a compact 9mm pistol that can handle +P loads.
Corbon has made top tier ammunition for decades. Thanks for the video.
😎👊
Nice to see ammo properly loaded and consistent 👍✌️🇺🇸
Good stuff ! Like the shirt. Spring temps are crazy 80 & humid one day cool/cold rain the next, at 52 & breezy...
Thank you sir. That's the truth. This was made on Wednesday. Had to cut the grass today and it was nice and dry.
Evil is always among us. it’s just that we don’t notice until it’s too late
Amen!
That ammo is some good stuff. 9mm loads that make 500 ftlbs are rare.
Quitting time…now it’s Jelly Time!!! Woo hoo!!
💥😎👊💥
Great stuff Tools!! Thanks and as previously stated I carry the older CorBon 125 +P in my 9 EDC’s. I am very glad that you enjoy doing this so much!! Stay safe.
I've been waiting for someone to review this ammo for years! I bought 50 rounds when it first came out and I've never seen it again. Mine has nickel plate cases. Very interesting.
Nice. They have this insert stuff figured out.
Man those did great and that short barrel performance was incredible!
Yessir
..I remember when CorBon was sold in blister packs..worked at a gunstore in Pompano Beach in 1986 and thus was new at the time
If evil comes calling. I am grabbing the AR or Shotgun but this round looks promising. Nice expansion to ruin a gremlin's day
I know that's right!😎👊
Agreed! If it’s serious use a serious tool given a choice. That’s nice warm stuff for a sidearm! Corbon has made great freedom seeds for decades. I’ve carried many different calibers over the years, it’s always performed well.
That minuscule standard deviation indicates excellent manufacturing and quality control.
Yessir
Really appreciate all of your content. You've got a great personality for this.
Thank you sir. Appreciate that.😎👊
Wow, I wasn't expecting Bill Engvall
Here's your sign!
Nice! Impressive on the velocity again. I’d like more penetration but I think I’d be ok having these in the mag. Corbon has been getting it done these past couple of tests. Great video as always my friend 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you sir. I have some of their copper stuff still to test out.😎👊
that's some good performance, nice energy dump, consistent. Looks good for urban settings. My closest neighbor here in the city is about 40' away to the close wall, so ammo that dumps it's energy fast is a must in my sidearm. Thanks brother. I'm impressed with corbon
It slapped the block with some authority.😎👍
I saw today that the Ballistic Machinist guy said that he's got a 10mm in the works doing 1,500 out of a 3.8" barreled Springfield. Said it was a +/- 130 gr bullet that's supposed to be deliverijg 700+ foot pounds of energy.
"If the evil comes a callin the brass will start fallin"! Awesome line T! Great review and really like the ammo. HAGW
Appreciate that, brother!😎👊
Pretty impressive. Great video, as always, brother.
Love it when CorBon lifts those big ole' jelly blocks!
😎😁
Mhmm
Another great video 👍👍👍
😎👊
Holy cow! I love the weather reports man.
It throws people off because they're usually a week behind.😂
Nice, cool ammo from CorBon really nice test. The MC9 makes another great performance. That little Tool works great CANIK Rocks. As advertised right there good commentary and test. Good stuff there my friend. Urban Response is a good pick as well. Thanks for sharing and be safe. ⭐️⭐️🇺🇸⭐️⭐️👍
Love this little 9mm pistol.😎👊
Always like the Tools & Targets videos, gives us speeds, ft pound of energy and how rounds behave in the gel.
You can't expect more from an ammo than it doing what it says it will do. This looks like legit stuff for sure.
Thank you brother for the informative review.
😎👊
Always a pleasure Tools! Thanks brother!
😎👊
Weather man did pitiful here too 😅 we were supposed to have severe thunderstorms and tornadoes and s**t ,but nope nothing not a cloud in sight 🇺🇸🤣
I hate that too because I plan the day as pretty much a wash, and end up wasting good range time.😆
Loving the Cleeter hat! HELL YEAH BROTHER!!!
Nice. Thanks for the educational video. 👌
its Jelly time ! Another great video ! Keep up the good work !
Appreciate that!😎👊
Very good to see Corbon still doing their thing. As I've said before, I had a 1911 that hated my favorite Gold Dots, and the Pow'r Balls were my savior so I wasn't carrying ball ammo.
Dude, I thought I had a lot of tripods. BUT you have me beat! 😂
Takes me an hour to set everything up before I even start filming. Those big guys have it made with cameramen and editors and all that jazz.
Very nice! I carry CorBon +p 124 in my G19. I’m going to have to pick up some Urban Response.
Finally some good carry rounds. Great testing brother tools
Love to see the 45 auto glacier safety slugs version. Great video 👍🏼👍🏼
Great video as always thanks!
Appreciate ya, brother!😎👊
Great test.
Wow! I'm going to have to take a closer look at the Corbon poppers
Appreciate you Tools. 🇺🇸
😎👊
That's some good stuff Tools.🇺🇸👊 Great Ammo test!
Thank you sir.😎👊
I almost skipped this one thinking it was the powerball. Good stuff, as always.
I carry Corbon powerball in .40 and .45 in my glocks
Thanks for posting
Nice response from the Urban Response! Looks like CorBon came through with a big success. Good stuff!
Yep 😎👊
From what I'm seeing that round is all you would ever need very impressive from corbon I've used the 140grsolid copper .357 mag rounds and those were very impressive rounds to so cor bon keep up the quality great job
Looks like good ammo Tools thanks for the video have a great weekend and God Bless.
Hey buddy ...great comparison...both did great for how far they went ...
Thank you sir.😎👊
Good video definitely some good-looking ammo
Great test, Great rounds. I''ll order a couple of boxes for sure. thank you
Thank you sir. Nice energy from a 9mm.😎👊
@@ToolsandTargets Your welcome, nice energy for sure, my friend. 👍👍👍
If I was limited to the 9 Minimal for defensive usage, I'd be all over the Corbon loading. It was Corbon, back in the 1970s, that got the .38Spl off its knees. It looks like Corbon may have done the same for the 9 Minimal.
I will get some of that when I find it. Great option.
Wow never heard about these guys. Got to get some of the cool stuff
Another good test. Thanks for sharing 👍🇺🇸
Thank you sir.😎👊
Another good one Tools ! I will buy this ammo when i find it , excellent performance !
Thank you sir.😎👊
Excellent ammunition! Dang son that’s impressive!
Good stuff!
Some really good stuff
👍👍 looks really good, thanks tools
😎👊
Wow! Those puppies are really nice!
I am always looking 👀 forward to your videos Sir. Always entertaining to watch. Thanks 🙏 for sharing Captain 👨✈️. Keep those great videos coming!!
Appreciate that!😎👊
I will be on the lookout for these CorBon Urban Response rounds❗
Good stuff
Definitely some nice results, love all the videos very good information!! My Favorite is still the 10mm
Thank you sir.😎👊
Ohh now that's the good stuff! How does this one do from a carbine? Home defense is a situation where this is what you want to see. Let petals sheer off, let jackets separate after 8-10 inches in target so the mangled bits reach 12-15 inches. This is exactly the type of thing that reduces potential for grievous collateral damage . It's basic physics . Low weight( low mass /density) ,aerodynamically unsound fragments slow down faster, lose momentum faster and carry less inertia . Meaning it's less likely to punch through walls , what does make it through will be far less energetic than an intact bullet, even if fully Expanded .
I’ve had Hornady Critical Defense hang up on the feed ramp before. I’m wondering about those huge rubber inserts on these. Nice performance though. Another super video sir.
Appreciate that.😎👊
Great video tools!
Thank you sir.😎👊
Absolutely have forgotten about this ammo
Looks like another good round!
🔥💥👍💥🔥
The wound tracks are very impressive.
😎👍
Great review. Can you do the Cirbon Urban Response in 223/5.56? I purchased some for home defense, trusting in Corbon, but have never seen it performed in ballistics gel.
Thank you sir. I'll see if I can grab some.😎👊
Those are some mighty fast 9's . Even though I prefer heavier rounds , I think these 100 grain projectiles at those speeds would do the trick . Thanks for showing these to us 'cause I had no idea they even existed . Great video and great job T&T !
Thank you sir. Appreciate that!😎👊
Thanks for the video.
😎👊
I'd love to see a test of CorBon's 110 grain .357 if you haven't already. CorBon makes good stuff.
Don't think I have yet.😎👍
Impressive load, decent penetration, nice expansion, good energy and damage. Thanks for the jelly test Tools!
😎👊
I love Cor Bon ammo. I Have carried it for a longtime.
Have to agree Tools, the CorBon ammo is top notch. I'm not currently using it but wouldn't have an issue carrying it. Looking forward to the next test of this ammo.
Be vigilant and always be safe my friend.
Have a great weekend Tools
Thank you sir. You too!😎👊
Very nice. Im going to stick with my, "If it aint broke dont fix it" 124 HST...
Appreciate you brother
😎👊
So, I’ve heard you praise CorBon before. It looks like the business!
Another great video
cor bon gets another A
first meeting the box velocity is so important and 2nd it performed as they claimed it would imo it's suited more towards a short barrel because it's screaming fps if we look at the g17 bullet it's right at max expansion I would bet it could hit 1800fps from a carbine but it would just fragment 👍👍
Thank you sir. I bet you're right. Like a mini nade!
Another wonder video. I miss the old Cor-Bon DPX.
Looks like some good rounds, spicy 🔥
Yessir 🔥😎👊🔥
Success! Great results! This looks like a very good option. Why not? I am not typically very favorable of light for caliber in handgun offerings but the results speak for themselves. Thank you Sir. Good stuff.
Agreed. This stuff has a really good overall feel to it. Hard to explain.😎👍
Gotta git me some of these, great job man
Thank you sir. Great energy delivery for a 9mm.😎👍
This seems like a good self defense load. The Federal 9BPLE was a 115 grain +P+ that was a proven fight stopper as it was known to hit at over 1300 FPS from a 4 inch S&W Model 39.
Yessir. Good stuff.
Still remember back in the 90s when I first discovered Cor-Bon and thinking how insane it was that they were chronographed at not just supersonic velocities, but at near .357 magnum velocities. I stuffed my Kahr MK9 with them back then. In fact it wasn't until I switched out my Kahr for a SIG P365, that I even looked at new defense ammo. Carrying new ammo now but I may go back to it.
Some good hot stuff for sure.
Been patiently waiting for anotha video Tools, Tools please don't make us have to wait so long for your videos, I am hooked on your videos Tools. Tools I'll say it again, you are a ammo testin prophet my friend, have a super awesome fantastic weekend. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Appreciate that, brother. I have some stuff in the works that should add another video each week for a while.😎👊
Awesome! absolutely Awesome! thank you my friend. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲@ToolsandTargets
Im impressed!
Nice and spicy. Entering that medium 357 sig territory with this stuff energy wise. I still run the +p HSTs but this is a good round to have
Yessir
Some nice rounds. I like it.
😎👊
Good video! I like CorBon ammo, I have 400 CorBon and a 357 Sig CorBon ammo. It's kinda pricey so I dont shoot too much of it, I mainly shoot my own loads for plinking. Have you ever done a test on the 400 CorBon ammo?
Thank you sir. Don't have anything to run 400.
@@ToolsandTargets Your welcome, always enjoy your videos.
