  • Very easy mod you can do to clean up your engine bay! If you have emissions in your state/province I do not recommend you removing your EVAP solenoids.

    hey man thanks for contributing to the Subaru community and providing info for us future owners, i used this just to figure out where all the hardlines go without taking off my intake manifold to get a better understanding.

    Coming here for help. I paid a shop to do the block off and delete, but now the car has issues starting every time I fill up gas and I’m getting break up under boost. Is there something that maybe was supposed to be plugged that was missed or anything I can check?

    • @zach_lush
      @zach_lush  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What did the shop do to the line coming from the firewall? Is it being vented or blocked? Are the solenoids still there? Also are you on the stock tune still? If so that would cause issues.

      @@zach_lush they zip tied the solenoid to the back, and kept it plugged in to the harness. It’s tuned open source. I can check the tube from the firewall and report back! Thanks for the response!

    Did you experience any high idle after? I deleted my Evap, capped off the ports on my intake manifold, routed the hose into my fender, and got the codes tuned out. Now I’m getting P0507. No vacuums leaks and did a smoke test. kinda stumped now.

    • @zach_lush
      @zach_lush  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is your car tuned for it? That could be your issue

    • @anguyen5562
      @anguyen5562 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zach_lush Yup I had my tuner delete all the codes related to evap. Do you think I need to put my car on the dyno again?

    • @zach_lush
      @zach_lush  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anguyen5562 hmm I'm not entirely sure. Since your tuner deleted the codes I'd imagine it would be fine. Maybe since the car was originally tuned without it the idle is thrown off? Sounds like a question for your tuner in all honesty.

  • @D9L9O
    @D9L9O ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it possible to do this and drive without getting a tune? Would the car drive fun other than a check engine light? Pulling my manifold old and broke a nipple on the evap solenoid as well as the t fitting and a hose or two

    • @zach_lush
      @zach_lush  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe you will be okay and only get CELs. But I'd look into this further. You might be able to just delete the codes with ECUFlash, but you'll have to look into it.

    • @D9L9O
      @D9L9O ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man. Sorry autocorrect kinda butchered my last comment but yeah a bunch of that evap stuff was super brittle and broke instantly when trying to remove my manifold. Trying to avoid having to spend the money on replacing the solenoid and hoses. My car has had a CEL on forever so I’m not sweating that as long as it doesn’t effect how the car runs

    • @zach_lush
      @zach_lush  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@D9L9O all good, auto correct can get really annoying at times! I think you'll be fine, as long as your okay with the CELs, which doesn't seem to bother you already, haha!

    Assuming you had a P0568 code. what map/tune did you have to get rid of it. and how

    • @zach_lush
      @zach_lush  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So after doing this modification I never got a code. The reason for this is I had my tuner remove the codes immediately with a new break in map for my new engine. That being said this modification isn't worth doing if your engine is stock and does not require any tuning. Won't won't gain any power, just space in the engine bay.
