Yeah, it was exciting. But think about it, it was mostly bs. Look at 00:22 they made you think that they had mastered sentient AI in 2009, which also happened at project milo.

As a 12 year old back in 2009 getting hyped for project natal, i told all of my friends how it was the future and look at the evidence. How stupid i felt opening kinect christmas day 2010 to find out what kinect adventures was, just a worse version of eyetoy. Probably why i have a ps4 now and back to my playstation roots, this was probably the biggest marketing lie ever cant believe they even got away with it. Throwback to meet milo.
+Jessiepinkman I was about 10 at the time, but I was also hyped for this after seeing that milo demo. But once I got a Kinect, it was very disappointing.

I Remember seeing this as a kid and I die laughing now when I realize none of this came to be. I wasn't that excited but me and my brothers loved halo and thought maybe they would do a fun wii like halo fe but it was all lies even Milo.

The part where the girl tries on clothes became true in 2015 in an app called The Mall, but it looked more like a bad Photoshop work than a real 3D model on top of your video.

Not everyone thinks of it that way. Some people sit down in front of their xbox for an intense gaming experience and some even do it for their jobs. But its good to see that there still are some people that are just trying to chill out when they pick up a controller.

This looks so freaking cool. This is totally creative innovation (unlike that freaking iPad) and it shows a lot of promise! I know, thinking realisticly, that there will most likely be small bugs within the system as they develop it. But that's the whole point of taking time to make sure that everything will work properly. But if they seriously get this working I will freaking buy it without a moments hesitation. Unless it goes over the price range of $600... Then I will wait lol.

And let's not forget; voice recognition, face recognition and the ability to scan your own equipment/Items. Like I said before. Natal has a great vision of the future. The developers are really taking gaming to the next step. All In all, I love the Idea, but I don't care that much to buy anything "Motion". I'll be happy enough, with my keyboard and mouse. :)

Nobody said that you have to get it. Friend of mine works for Activision BOD and has told me a couple tidbits about what they plan on doing with Call of Duty with Natal. Some awesome shit I tell ya what. If you need to peep on the side of the corner you can do that, while the controller is in your hand. It basically registers your body where it's at, and when you move your head around or anything you can see the peripheral vision in the game. FPS's will not be the same ever again.

I agree that there's no replacing real life, but videogames are a place for people to be introduced to complex things in a simpler way.
Take a musical instrument, practicing scales is boring, but as technology increases they'll create a "real guitar" interface, and put "scale practice" into a video game, that way the user has fun and practices a real skill.
games like guitar hero and rockband are already helping people learn rhythm, and they're very simple controllers

what feeling? the gun would be invisible and intangiable, and there would be no way to fire the gun as it has no trigger, unless they made it detect finger movement, in which case you'd need a godlike ability to keep your hands perfectly still in relation to one another.
this is one of the very few things i am excited about from xbox

I don't doubt that for a second. The thing Is, though. Natal actually tracks your body. To put it in layman's terms, the Eye Toy couldn't see the difference between moving a leg up and down vs. moving an arm up and down; Natal can. Natal will offer a more unique experience with a 3D depth camera that tracks the body in 3D. It'll allow for full control of a game with the body, or partial control combined with a traditional controller (for example head tracking in an FPS).

Project Natal has been in production since mid 2009. There were too many legal and operation issues for them to release a version like what is shown above, however, they did release Xbox 360 with Kinect. I imagine they will keep making improvements and we will see something like like in the next 5 years. Look at microsoft pixelsense. I first saw this product in 2009 (when it was called Surface) and wondered "where did it go". Surface is now a tablet.
RIP the dream. Maybe in the next five years.

Yeah I dont know about this. The whole great things about video games is that you do not have to be good at whatever you are doing in real life. It might be nice for some games, but skateboarding or other technical things are going to be extremely difficult. Also you would need a whole lot of room to do some of this stuff, and another good thing about the xbox today is that you can take it anywhere with a tv and play.

I need help, I've just got live and i've connected it. I go through everything in the "join xbox live" section + the network settings. At the end of all this it says "xbox live cannot be connected at this time, please try again later" is this because it's christmas and alot of people are setting up live or is it my xbox ?
