I have seen up to six people on a live stream before with the faces and/or avatars before but I don't know what they used to do it. Not Zoom for sure. Any idea?
Thanks for the video. Just to let you know, you could have used NDI plugin for OBS . Skype is NDI enabled so it would bring its own audio source in . No need for window capture and if you have multiple callers on the conference call each person is a separate NDI source which can be brought into OBS as such and placed in any location on your screen you want and resized. Each person will have their own NDI Mic... so no need for IshowU
Do you have an example of how to do this? I have a colleague who techno challenged in one city, and a second who is tech savvy in a second location and me in a 3rd city and we want to run a 3 person bi weekly stream. Thanks.
6:18. Folks always tend to talk about "Mac" and "PC", yet Linux is an operating system, as well, used on PCs. I did manage to create the frame I needed, but had to stop when it came to adding the audio source of the guest, as it now excludes my operating system. I appreciate the help this has given me, though. Thank you.
Not a lot of people talk about Linux. :-) seriously though I don’t cover it because not a lot of people use it and most of the people who do are very savvy and can generally figure it out on their own. Hopefully it helped a bit. Once you are in obs it should all be basically the same.
Thank you for this tutorial . It is something I have been wondering about (adding a separate guest feed) while have have been learning the basic aspects of OBS .
I am so glad to help. I did another video today that shows an alternative way to add guests in obs studio that is much higher quality audio. th-cam.com/video/GnXxA01E-ZQ/w-d-xo.html

For the cropping of a video (or any source) you can hold down the alt key and drag the bounding box to crop to the size you want without having to type in dimensions. 👍🍻
Excellent tips Michael. Very well and detailed explanation. I am using Soundflower to remap the audio on my Mac. I will try this one to see the differences :)

Michael, could you please help me in something? My OBS doesn't show any source of output audio. I'm using a MAC 2012 high sierra. Do you know how I can fix it?
Michael Feyrer Jr. many thanks for your message! The iShowU is que m configured as output of the sound of the Mac and as multi output agregated device as you explained in this video. But I can’t have sound that is provided from my Mac in the TH-cam live! The audio output capture in OBS doesn’t show any source to “click”. There is nothing in the audio output capture of OBS. Please help me Michael, I’m three days trying haha. Could I send an email with the pictures? 🙏🏻
Love it, my next live stream will look super professional. It looks like the NDI plugin for Skype gets the audio source automatically. Thanks for the great tutorial.
Hi Michael, your content is helping me a lot. I'm almost done to start the streams but I have a big audio problem yet. I use a MAC, so a needed to download the IshowU. I set the IshowU and the new multiple audio output devices as it's explained in the video, the output mac audio is selected the "multiple audio devices", in the multiple devices is selected IshowU as main output and the built audio is selected as second device. But when I'm in the conference with the guests in the restream site, the guests can listen me, the OBS recognizes the audio coming from the guests and my audio, but I CAN'T listen the guests and I CAN't listen any audio that comes from my computer, and to go alive in youtube, I need to listen my guests. If I select the built audio from mac then I can listen audio from my guests and from computer, but the OBS doesn`t recognizes the audio from the guests or audio that comes from the capture window. Do you know how I can fix it? Many thanks
You have to select the aggregate device in the top sound menu on your Mac and IshowU in obs. If that isn’t working you may have the aggregate device set up improperly. You can message me on twitter and I can send you screen shots of the proper setup.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr You have no idea. It took me 3 fuckin years to figure this shit out as I always get echo after following ishowu's stepbystep guide haha

The Mac audio patching workaround would probably also work in JACK, but I am less experienced with it and JACK can get deep. BUT you might be able to devise solutions that can run on Mac, Windows, and Linux.
Hi Michael... I use a Mac, but I have it partitioned to have Windows 10. Streaming is done on the PC side. I have a 2011 Mac mini High Sierra (my recording software won't run yet on the new update) , i5 processor & 32g RAM. I can stream, most of the time it looks good (720p is the max output resolution) but of course sometimes it has lag when I run other software for VC or video call (Skype or Discord). Would I also have to download the ShinyWhiteBox software? If I do, I would have to download it on the PC side. Which of your tutorials will work well for this, till I get a PC dedicated for gaming and streaming?
