- We had a string of bad storms come through by the Tent. The road to get in was impassable, so we took the boat across to check on the damage. Some trees down but it could have been way worse.
Checking The Tent, Grandpa's cabin and Georges cabin.
Glad to see no damage to the tent and grandpa's place. Sorry to hear George has issues to manage.

Zachary…… always nice to hear your voice. Really enjoying that you’re doing more videos yourself. Love the solo car and boat camping videos. Back door open kinda weird and scary.
Great video ! I’m sure your dad, Grandpa and George truly appreciate you checking on things ! And being so close as the crow flies … nice job Zach !! Take care
I love how you all take such great care of each other. The world could use more people like you all. Thanks for taking us along
It's wonderful nothing was damaged or destroyed during the high wind storm.Allways scary. Thanks for sharing.😊
Oh my. Sure hope you make it safely there. Just turned on video. Almost through video now. What a great son and grandson to do this for them. Sure they are relieved now. Bless you. 😇😊
So glad you could check things out for your dad and grandpa! You are awesome! The wind must have been terrible to blow the door open!!! Glad things were okay! Sorry for George, hope things are an easy fix and not too bad!
Good to see you Zach. Glad all was in descent shape!
Thanks for updating us on the condition of the Tent & Grandpas cabin from the severe weather in Northern Minnesota Zach! Glad all is well for the most part!!!
Thanks Zach for the tour of destruction. So glad to see that Dad and Grandpa came out unscathed!! 🌩⚡🌲
Walking into the tent with that door open was a little spooky after there was a bear on the porch! Had to be a microburst that flexed it enough to pop it open. Glad that both places faired well! Thanks for sharing.
Can't wait to see the trail cam pics of the tent and the back door
Thanks for checking in! I hadn't heard about any major storms around our fishing shack at Lake Vermilion so I checked. Looks like there were 25 MPH gusts on Tuesday. I have a Reolink PTZ camera up on a tree that uses cellular so was also able to look and see that everything looks fine. Even the tarp I put over a platform I have for a canvas wall tent is secure. Thanks for the video Zach !
Wow Zach you’re a blessing to your father and grandpa, God is good all the time. Awesome! 👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
Always great to hear Zach on the channel! Glad nothing was harmed, and great of you to be out there helping out
Glad to see there's no damage to the tent and Grandpa's cabin!
Family taking care of family is awesome. I have two sons and an adult grandson that help us when needed. Great feeling for Dad’s and Grandads
Good job, checking and looking out for your Dad, Grandpa and their friends. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I don't know how your Dad's back door could of blown open when it must of been locked and a couple of things out of place inside is rather odd. I know he has had a few critters in there but this seems rather weird to me. Hopefully your Dad can assess when he's back up there. Sorry for George's place, hope he can remedy it without too much cost and trouble.
Seems fishy to me, hope they get to the bottom of that mystery.
Maybe the door just wasn’t latched as tight as Joe thought and blew open. It’s happened to me during a wind storm
Joe has cameras inside the tent and around it. I am sure he will go over what is on them on his next trip to the tent. I agree that does sound odd.
I live in North West Minnesota and we got hit too ... I got luck because one of my trees fell and missed the house next door by just a few feet. Luckily no damage. We got it all cleaned up, but it was one hell of a storm when it moved through Marshall County.
Awesome video
So Glad the Cabins made it! I'm puzzled by the back door being open.... Pens moved (could have been the wind after the door opened I suppose). I didn't see any "Break in" marks on the door. Strange. Needs a deadbolt. Sorry George's property got damaged but It looks like it could have been a lot worse judging by the number of snapped (not pushed over) trees. Thanks Zach.!!
If you dont have dead bolts on your doors chances are I can get in it without leaving break in marks, and leave you scratching your head trying to figure out how I got in. My bro taught me how to when we got home from school one day. Our parents were at work and we both forgot our keys when we left for school. All I need is something you have in your wallet, a drivers license.
Thanks for sharing Zachary. Not much damage at the tent or grandpa but George's place suffer some.
So glad your dad and grandad's places made it through the storm without serious damage.
Thanks for sharing Zach❤️🙏🏻🕊💯🌈‼️
Glad your Dad and Grampa don't have issues. sorry that happened to George, Looks like he might need to do some serious repairs to that camper and outhouse. Hope it's nothing to bad though.
Wow thanks for the video Zach glad the tent and your grandparents cabin was good from the bad storms. It must've been very strong wind to blow the back door open to the tent. Kinda scary seeing that. Stay safe.
Zachary! Great hearing your voice. Happy all was okay with the tent and Grandpas. Sorry about George's place.
The first thing I thought about when I saw the headline about the storms in that area was "I sure hope the tent is okay". I'm so glad there was no bad damage for you guys.
Thank you jon Atlanta
Was glad you found no damage to either cabins. Sorry George lost his pooper. Stay well Zach 👍
Very nice Zach , so kind of you. It looks like you always have to carry a chain saw with , just in case. 👍👍😊
We are a 2 hour drive inland from the coast of NC. Usually, we get outer bands of hurricanes. A few times over the past 40 years, we've had hurricanes come inland this far. The damage you showed we get at least once a year, if not a couple of times a year. Glad to see damage was not worse than it could have been.
Glad to see everything is ok at the tent and your Granpas. Sorry to hear that George has some damage at his place. Downed trees = firewood for deer season.
Didn't know squirrels have learned to pick door locks! LOL
God bless you young man
We had crazy winds a few days ago here in AZ as well, trees down all over with wind howling through the windows and doors. Glad your guys' places were safe.
Your family has the best setup with "THE TENT"
good on you for looking
Great job Zach💥
Glad to see that the tent is good can’t wait to see the next up coming videos with duck season and then deer season always love watching videos 😃😃😃😃
Glade all is, well lots of fire wood this coming season. Thanks for the info. 😀😀
Glad to see minimal damage. This seems like the year of odd weather.
Regards
Mark
You are a great son and grandson!
Glad everything is ok at the tent and grandpa’s house!
Hey Zach. I am sure you have done other videos but everyone has a first; first time I've seen one done by you. It was funny - it began like a Joe video and it took a moment or two to realise it was not the voice I'm used to hearing. There is definitely a bit of 'like father, like son' riff here and it's nice to see. Good on you for checking out your Grandad's and Georges's place too. That back door is odd: so very unlike Joe to leave it so's it could blow open. Looking forward to your winter videos.
Glad to see No Storm Damage ... Saw the weather radar going through
We had a bad tornado hit our deer lease in Alabama years ago. It changed everything on how the deer moved from bedding areas to feed areas. Took a year to get them patterned again and move a lot of stands.
Glad all is well up,there
Well Done Zack.
The daylight is going quickly in Idaho too. Winter is coming as the cooler mornings welcome cooler weather to come.
Hi Zack ..just catching your current video..geez that’s a tad scary finding the back door wide open..hopefully when you check the cameras you’ll find how that happened
National weather service recorded 107 estimated wind speed in Aurora, and 94 estimated in Hoyt Lakes, headed up your direction!
Glad there were no damage
That was lucky to have such minimal damage around the tent and your Granddads cabin.
Zachary how wonderful f you go check dads and grand dads they must really be thankful you are there
Glad things looked good. It was odd, like you mentioned, how some random, healthy tree, among other trees, got snapped but others didn't.
Glad to see tent and granpas cabin are ok. To bad about George property. That door being open is odd.
I’m glad there was no damage at your dad’s tent or your grandfather’s caddy I hope George’s OK and there’s not a lot of major damage to George’s house Zachary you’re like your dad he went and checked on everything good man Zachary
Hi Zack! Really nice of you to go check dad and grandpa's place for them. Sorry to see the damage done at George's place. He'll get it taken care of though, knowing him.
Thank you for letting us know about the storm, and I'm glad everything is alright!!😊
You must be pretty good at backing that boat up. Glad you got turned around. As soon as I seen the tent door open I was thinking bear. I noticed you knocked and spoke up. I'm glad you are closer to the tent and cabin, just for these reasons. Good job Zach!
I hope Joe didn't leave the door open in his haste to leave. I believe he loads the truck from the back door. It might be time to check that door jam distance
The door knob was locked, but it was open. I did knock in case of a bear. Everything else inside looked un disturbed. Dad will have to check to see that everything is there. It's pretty creepy in the early morning light to come across the door. Especially when the only way out is by boat. If anything happened, no one could come get me.
@@JoeandZachSurvival You may want to start doing what your dad does when he goes there. Take a gun with you just in case you need it for four legged creatures and two legged ones as well. Better to have it with you there and not need it, than not have it there with you and need it.
@@JoeandZachSurvival I totally agree. That was kind of scary/creepy.

What is with your dads back door being open 😮, thats like the 1st time I've ever seen that ... Thanks for the video and checking up on the tent and your grandpa's cabin , poor Georges place got hit the worst it looks like
Glad to see your dad and grandpa places survived the storm. Sorry to see George's had some damage. When was this storm? I was up near Ely and the cabin i rented for the week had a very big limb down and this was the 3rd week of August.
👍👍👍👍
Stay safe zach
Glad no major damage
Glad to see you guys escaped unscathed, could have been bad............
Zach. We miss seeing your home improvement videos. How is that all coming along? Glad there was no real damage done to your Dad & Grandpa's places. Looks like George is going to have a bit of a mess to clean up.
That was some serious wind!!😮 It blew the back door open! 😮
You're such a blessing to your Dad and Grandpa.
Looks like areas around you got hit pretty good.
We love the duck hunt.
"Back doors open" I thought this was about to turn into an early Halloween show.
Glad everything is ok, except for George's outhouse and camper. Something is not right at the Tent, your dad will have to check that out, back door open, pens out of place, hmmm?? It's always nice to hear your voice, couldn't see you this time.. Stay safe and have a great day.👍🤓👍🤓.Randy.
🙄😆
So sorry to hear about George place, hope he can get everything fixed up,
Hey Zack, where was your chainsaw fir the fallen trees lol
I had to go through that area the day after. It wasn’t pretty! Pretty sure I seen you on your way home the 2nd time. That same storm hit our hunting area hard too. I’ll see what it looks like on Saturday.
Hopefully your deer stands didn’t take a beating in the storm.
Have you guys ever thought about putting a storm door onnthe back doornof the tent
Back door open kinda weird and scary needs a deadbolt on the back door or a new lock something isnt catching right you can see when he tested the door
The one thing your father and grandfather don't need is a lot more work. Sorry to see damage to George's property. Thank God the tree damage and road blockages can be managed relatively easily. Be safe...👍
It’s called firewood up here.
We had damage in Eveleth to
Sure good to "see you"!! Good to Good to Hear from you !! That wind was really roaring!! The door being opened was just weird! I can't understand why it was open! Wonder what your dad thinks the answer is?? Unless the wind just shook and twisted the frame enough to pop it! Looks like if that was it the tent would have been damaged!
What you said is exactly what happened. That had to have been a hell of a storm. (this is Joe responding). That wind rocked the whole thing.
@@JoeandZachSurvival Maybe a few strong wire guy lines linked to the ground are in the works for the tent. If it flexed that much to open the door, who knows...Glad it was not worse.
Zach was all the destruction just straight line winds?
Was there any tornadoes reported?
Zach did stop doing the small engine repair videos? Enjoyed those along with your camping videos.
Lightning can take trees down too.
George's outhouse? Oh crap!
Not the out house 😮
How can door be open. any clues?
Poor George! Area is a bit of a mess, alright. 👍😎🇨🇦
SEAMS FISHY THAT TENT DOOR WIDE OPEN..LET US KNOW WHEN JOE FINDS OUT THE SCOOP ABOUT IT..
Can you please make your upcoming duck camp video a long one. Thanks
I will see what happens, it starts tomorrow.
@@JoeandZachSurvival Have a good time and good luck.
The back door being open is pretty creepy. You probably should have waited till morning, WE wouldn't have been so creeped out.
Does George have a TH-cam channel as well ? Never seen his place before.
Surprised you didn't call out before you went inside. If a bear had been inside to greet you... Also surprised he doesn't have a dead bolt lock on the door.
Joe has game cameras, he'll know how the door was opened.
😳🙄
Backdoor open?!? What happen there?
Bigfoot!😩
WAY creepy part with the door. Your quick camera swing to check the area made my pulse go up. What if you came back after visiting your grandpa's place and it was open again? whoa! creepsville!!!!!
Looks almost like a tornado went thru in a couple shots, you must be a lot closer to the tent than you were before you moved arnt you…
Looks like a micro burst
