I can confirm that, for most for us Africans, besides South Africans, it’s always challenging - I went through a series of interviews with a school in Korea to a point where I got an offer, and when it came to visa they then said they assumed I was from Australia because of my degree 🤷♂️
So this happens in other countries besides China. Interesting
I major in Chinese and Communication. Tefl 120 hours. From the Netherlands. Speaking English without an accent. Currently doing a pre master philosophy. What are my chances to become a Dutch or English teacher in China?
How about non native English Speakers with education from native English Speaking countries?
Greetings brother, i am from Pakistan and I BS(4 years ) in English and hold certificate so i am eligible for teaching in China or not? ❤
Is it legal for non natives to work as teachers in china?or you might get arrested and deported.
How about Americans with teaching experience, a TEFL, and intermediate Mandarin skills, but no degree?
That might be difficult but if you can message me privately and we can discuss it further
I'm interested to apply in your school.

Hello sir, i have a masters in English linguistics, a 160 hour tefl certification, a c2 language proficiency certificate and 3 years of teaching experience. I am non native but my proficiency is native like. Do you think i might have any chances?
You just have to try and see
Bro a pgce and high band ielts and Bachelors will do or what ? I’m Egyptian 😊
How are the things for Europeans right now? Can we find a way to work?
You can definitely try
Thanks, I’ll consider that as a green light 😊
Good job boss. I studied English Education. What are my chances?
Trying but difficult Sir
As far as I know English language is not a second language in china! English language is considered a foreign language…
i know the things the non-native teachers have to go through. but if you can establish yourself as a good teacher and are innovative, then u can even beat the native 'teachers'. but yeah, new comers in post-covid period, forget china for now
Well said
