It must be a very difficult culture for the LGBT 🏳️🌈 but there is always hope. My culture, Spain 🇪🇸, used to be very homophobic while I grew up, today it is considered one of the most tolerant and embracing of its LGBT citizens in the whole world.

Honestly I think it's not too classy for anyone to show too much affection to each other in public places where there are other people. It's not a nice sight to for example see someone making out too passionately. Makes one uncomfortable. Holding hands and hugging, a humble peck is fine.
Don't forget that these society's didn't experience the sexual liberation movement and neither the social justice fights that occurred in the 60s and 70s. It might explain some of the problems/attitudes against LGBTQ people

And we also have a fair amount of ppl who are conservative about this topic. But the difference is that even our conservative ones do not hold a ‘grudge’ or such a despise against homosexuality. To all people, Im Polish and i can confirm you that it's not because of Religious reasons. The real problem people have with LGBT community is that it doesn't even try to Appeal to people, most Polish people see LGBT marches as a weird people doing weird that nas among Children.

In the past like 1980s, 60s, 70s, 50s and even 90s, people were put into conversion therapy where they tried to “convince” people that they are not gay or how to be not gay. Many people who went through that on their will or not by their choice ended up marrying opposite sex and even having children to then come to the point where they realise themself and have to over coke loads and loads of trauma. They then sometimes would get divorced and then change their lifestyle and in others they committed suicide went to their priests and even just lied about it and stayed in the marriage. I know a situation like that in one of my sisters friends.

I stay in Gdansk and suprisingly all my polish friends are very very open minded and accepting and they support me for being gay. Poland is still better than it's neighbour Russia and Ukraine.But slavic countries still have hugeeee homophobia unfortunately.

I can get where some people are coming from with don't show TOO much affection in public - but that applies to straight couples too. You should be able to hug, hold hands and kiss your partner in public - just not too 'aggressively', just in case there are children around. But I don't see why these types of etiquette rules should be stricter for different sexualities - being gay isn't inappropriate because it's usually just consensual relationship between two adults. Why should that bother anyone else?

as a lesbian, here are some of my thoughts, unpopular opinions on the lgbtq+ community: - gay flag should be redesigned. although not intended, we kinda did ruin the rainbow - although i'll still personally respect them, xenopronouns don't make any sense. basically all of them are just other ones to use instead of they/them, which isn't necessary. - "species" are not apart of the lgbtq+ community (things like catgender, fairygender, etc.) don't even know why those are things in the first place - same goes for intersex people. not to say that intersex people can't be apart of the community, but intersex on its own shouldn't be apart of lgbtq+ - pride month should be pride day, the celebration is a great idea, but because an entire month is so long, so many people adknowledge pride month more than they adknowledge other very important things that occur during june, such as ptsd awareness month and child safety week - the double standards omgg, say one thing that one gay person gets offended by and boom! you're a transphobe, homophobe, you name it. (bonust points if you're straight and/or not transgender) - you don't need a billion names if you're trans. it's very hard to remember. this doesn't go for all trans people, but i have met a few people who think you're transphobic for saying someone has too many names to remember - same goes for switching names as a trans person every 3 days, very hard to remember. not as bad if you just found out you're trans though, i can understand why choosing names takes time, just kinda hard to remember and learn them so fast - not wanting to have sex with trans people isn't transphobic - being a femboy or tomboy doesn't mean you're gay - stereotypes about sexualities are weird and usually not accurate - your sexuality does not need to be your personality - your gender does not need to be your personality - we have sososososooso many issues that need to be discussed sososososo much more like child predators in the community, harrassing religuous people, etc. but no one is discussing them for some reason?? - zoophiles, mapsexuals, pedophiles, dreamgenders, dreamsexuals are not apart of the community. at all. - if we want religious people to respect but not support us, we need to respect them back, even if we don't support or agree with their religious beliefs. respect is earned

My friend made it to the local news by adding rainbow to our city's crest. They made it out of solidarity for a guy who did it first because he lives in a "lgbt free zone". The mayor of his town said that he's gonna have problems with the police and end up in a correctional facility (he's 16). I'm from Wodzisław Śląski.

Yes, yes, Poland now has LGBTQ-FREE parishes. The head of the Polish ruling party PiS declares homosexuals and transgender people to be enemies of the state. A government-friendly newspaper distributes stickers with crossed out rainbow flags. 30 municipalities declare themselves a "LGBT-free zone". What a divine blessing for the oh so catholic country. The following occurs to me. Wherever religions, right-wing and ultra-right parties are involved, homophobia is experiencing a strong upswing. What I absolutely cannot understand is the fact. Although Poland is with the EU and the EU does nothing against such activities. Poland is leveraging the judiciary, Poland is trampling on human rights, and the EU is standing by. To be honest, you have to come to the opinion that the EU is a completely toothless institution. Another very anti-human rights state is Hungary and some other EU member states. It is time for the EU to endeavor to respect human rights within the EU. Ja, ja, Polen hat jetzt LGBTQ-FREI Gemeinden. I concider myself a part of LGBT community, but unfortunately I have to keep that to myself as my family wouldn't accept that. You can imagine how welcomed I felt when I went to visit my dear auntie in Poland and she had one of those anti gay stickers on her front door
I live in Poland and honestly from what i've seen PiS is supported mainly by conservatist catholic old people who often also have bad relationships with the younger ones. Also, in Poland there is way too much old people than there should be. And there is something that makes it even worse - the "success" propaganda and lots of anti-LGBT talking in TVP (the gov. TV), which is mostly watched by old or unemployed people who don't have anything other to do. Also, PiS "bought" the votes by some social programs that in fact slowly ruin our economy, like 500+ (in short 500 PLN monthly for every child after the second one) which is just taking money from working people and mostly throwing it to unemployed and lazy people who could find a job. PiS doesn't care about disabled, sick and traumatised people (the public healthcare is terrible and you have to wait 6 years for some operations because of the dumb organisation), they just want the power and support of the conservative polish catholic church. There is too much hatred in my country - and i don't like it. Both the rightists and leftists insult each other, but rightists are a lot more agressive with it. Pedophilia in the church is an example of complete hypocrisy from the church - they sometimes organise masses where they talk about how "LGBT demoralises young people, causes pedophilia and the God hates gay and lesbian people" but they themselves are often terrible people, there were many confirmed cases of pedophile priests, but sadly our hyper-pro-catholic goverment didn't punish them like they should. And they almost openly support Tadeusz Rydzyk who is a very radical and hypocrytic man. He has his own propaganda "catholic" radio station, it's terrible how they tell "to love other people" and then do things like that.

Homophobes act as if gay people do it solely to offend and disgust them. Word of advice - gay people do not care about you the way you care about them. It is not for show. It is not to offend. They are simply living. Gay people exist. They always have and always will. I'm a lesbian and I live in Poland. Honestly at this point we are in worse state than in Russia, and this video only proves it. You don't even realise how many times I, and other LGBT people I know have faced violence, contempt, and hatred in this country. If it wasn't for my family IDK what would have happened with me, and it hurts that some people doesn't have that kind of support (for example my friend's parents completely cut off ties with her when she was only 17, after finding out about her orientation. She tried to kill herself 3 times). Even tho I appreciate my country for its history, and strenght, I hate what it has became, and I wanna move out as far as I possibly can from this shithole.

In the past like 1980s, 60s, 70s, 50s and even 90s, people were put into conversion therapy where they tried to “convince” people that they are not gay or how to be not gay. Many people who went through that on their will or not by their choice ended up marrying opposite sex and even having children to then come to the point where they realise themself and have to over coke loads and loads of trauma. They then sometimes would get divorced and then change their lifestyle and in others they committed suicide went to their priests and even just lied about it and stayed in the marriage. I know a situation like that in one of my sisters friends.

I can get where some people are coming from with don't show TOO much affection in public - but that applies to straight couples too. You should be able to hug, hold hands and kiss your partner in public - just not too 'aggressively', just in case there are children around. But I don't see why these types of etiquette rules should be stricter for different sexualities - being gay isn't inappropriate because it's usually just consensual relationship between two adults. Why should that bother anyone else?

as a lesbian, here are some of my thoughts, unpopular opinions on the lgbtq+ community:
- gay flag should be redesigned. although not intended, we kinda did ruin the rainbow
- although i'll still personally respect them, xenopronouns don't make any sense. basically all of them are just other ones to use instead of they/them, which isn't necessary.
- "species" are not apart of the lgbtq+ community (things like catgender, fairygender, etc.) don't even know why those are things in the first place
- same goes for intersex people. not to say that intersex people can't be apart of the community, but intersex on its own shouldn't be apart of lgbtq+
- pride month should be pride day, the celebration is a great idea, but because an entire month is so long, so many people adknowledge pride month more than they adknowledge other very important things that occur during june, such as ptsd awareness month and child safety week
- the double standards omgg, say one thing that one gay person gets offended by and boom! you're a transphobe, homophobe, you name it. (bonust points if you're straight and/or not transgender)
- you don't need a billion names if you're trans. it's very hard to remember. this doesn't go for all trans people, but i have met a few people who think you're transphobic for saying someone has too many names to remember
- same goes for switching names as a trans person every 3 days, very hard to remember. not as bad if you just found out you're trans though, i can understand why choosing names takes time, just kinda hard to remember and learn them so fast

I concider myself a part of LGBT community, but unfortunately I have to keep that to myself as my family wouldn't accept that. You can imagine how welcomed I felt when I went to visit my dear auntie in Poland and she had one of those anti gay stickers on her front door
I live in Poland and honestly from what i've seen PiS is supported mainly by conservatist catholic old people who often also have bad relationships with the younger ones. Also, in Poland there is way too much old people than there should be. And there is something that makes it even worse - the "success" propaganda and lots of anti-LGBT talking in TVP (the gov. TV), which is mostly watched by old or unemployed people who don't have anything other to do. Also, PiS "bought" the votes by some social programs that in fact slowly ruin our economy, like 500+ (in short 500 PLN monthly for every child after the second one) which is just taking money from working people and mostly throwing it to unemployed and lazy people who could find a job. PiS doesn't care about disabled, sick and traumatised people (the public healthcare is terrible and you have to wait 6 years for some operations because of the dumb organisation), they just want the power and support of the conservative polish catholic church. There is too much hatred in my country - and i don't like it. Both the rightists and leftists insult each other, but rightists are a lot more agressive with it. Pedophilia in the church is an example of complete hypocrisy from the church - they sometimes organise masses where they talk about how "LGBT demoralises young people, causes pedophilia and the God hates gay and lesbian people" but they themselves are often terrible people, there were many confirmed cases of pedophile priests, but sadly our hyper-pro-catholic goverment didn't punish them like they should. And they almost openly support Tadeusz Rydzyk who is a very radical and hypocrytic man. He has his own propaganda "catholic" radio station, it's terrible how they tell "to love other people" and then do things like that.

I'm a lesbian and I live in Poland. Honestly at this point we are in worse state than in Russia, and this video only proves it. You don't even realise how many times I, and other LGBT people I know have faced violence, contempt, and hatred in this country. If it wasn't for my family IDK what would have happened with me, and it hurts that some people doesn't have that kind of support (for example my friend's parents completely cut off ties with her when she was only 17, after finding out about her orientation. She tried to kill herself 3 times). Even tho I appreciate my country for its history, and strenght, I hate what it has became, and I wanna move out as far as I possibly can from this shithole.

I am polish myself, and I don’t really like gays that much, but i think everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
But LGBTQIA+ ideology is about forcing it on others. At the CSD in Berlin, some people run around naked and fuck on the street where there are people and even children could pass by. People who are on a dog leash, who lick others' feet and who are spat on, you really see things there that you don't want to see.
The thing is it's just other people's doing, not yours. They don't make you do anything. I also feel a bit weird if I get to see gay people kissing for example but why harass them that much? In some countries they even kill them. Humans behave like apes...
