Random trains at Gomez and West Bakersfield August 2024: MRL, NS leader and MORE!

A random compilation of trains in Bakersfield from the last couple weeks! Lots of special stuff here! We start with SJVR 3818 leading a nice long manifest at Rosedale Hwy crossing (about 1/2 mile north of the wye at Gomez on the SJVR Landco Sub). After that we head a spot I like to go to often by Gomez on the BNSF Bakersfield Sub for a couple trains at the old Mohawk St crossing which has been removed after a bridge was constructed in 2009. Here we see a wb BNSF oil train (which came not long after the SJVR train as I was headed back on my scooter to Gomez so we stopped on the side of Mohawk Street out of traffic to see the beginning of the train before catching the end of it at the old crossing) and eb Z-STOWSP with MRL 4317 trailing 2nd! 2 days later we came back to that same spot after hearing of a wb BNSF U-NMEHLG Military train with all NS power! Also in this video is Amtrak 703 featuring F59PHI units (CDTX 2007 and CDTX 2004) and a wb grain train with normal standard BNSF power. Enjoy the video and please don't forget to like and subscribe!
