The Bass Factory yea it came out great lol especially if that was your first time but the more you do it the better you’ll get with making fancy designs. But yea I love the way it came out. Those colors work well with each other.
I hope this helps of you want to give that custom reel look to that old reel you have laying around. Let me know if you try this out, how it turns out.
Thanks bud. I was wondering if I would have that issue later on, but I didn't. I let the paint set up and cure before I really messed with the reel and it is holding up really well and hasn't gummed up at all.
Ha, yeah it was a fun project. I'm still catching fish with it, and it still casts great. The worm gear has an oil residue on the surface so nothing adhered. Thanks bud
I use to do this to my old deer skulls and racks for fun never thought about doing this to my old bait casters smart thinking👍🏼👌🏼
Thanks Joe, it was interesting and I actually like how it turned out.

That reel looks SICK!! I'm gonna have to try this sometime!!

Thanks bud, it wasnt too hard. I wasnt sure how ot would turn out but i like it.
Great video my friend well done
Thanks john
A very well filmed tutorial. Did you have any issues with the brake adjust or the drag gumming?
Thanks bud. I was wondering if I would have that issue later on, but I didn't. I let the paint set up and cure before I really messed with the reel and it is holding up really well and hasn't gummed up at all.
You should have dissembled it, and sprayed each plate, since you may have gotten paint in the gears, and the thread rod for the line guide.
Yeah I did, but they were lubed up and the paint didn't stick. It was an old reel i felt like trying to paint. Thanks bud
Nice
Thanks Hardi.
@@TBassFactory your welcome
Do you have to take it apart at all? Or do you just leave the entire thing together?
I left the entire reel together. I have taken them apart to paint before, but it is alot of work and as long as I dip the reel it doesnt hurt it.
Nice video , you must call it "how to kill some reel"
Ha, thanks bud
he painted over the worm gear and everything lmao dont do this if you want your reel to work.
