Hey MK , Totally agree with you w/regard to the gauges, so many people relocate, and while the street bob gauge isn't a bad gauge - I actually dislike the gauge on the Lowrider ST!
I built my S out pretty similar to yours, thrashin bar bag and escape bags. Buddy picked up the ST and we swapped rides for a little. There is nothing to be gained from the ST unless you like the looks that much more (I don't) and the looks also mean that much to you too trade in. I'm happy with the S. I was able to get the S and dump about 4k into it to make it mine, which I did and still be where my buddy was with a stock bike. The fairing doesn't block the wind mo betta. The bags can pack a little more in them. The gauge is terrible. Need a special or custom bracket if you want to do an exhaust. The cruise control is nice though but can be added to the s
That 4.0 looks sick brother. Yea man I hear you, keep the LRS, First Gen soft tail LRS.. That will be a classic. That's why I'm planning on holding on to my Road Glide ST in future. It will become a piece of HD history man.
I'm with you on the placement of the speedometer. I somehow like way it looks placed on the tank. Though it's much easier to gaze on the road with the new lowrider, it doesn't looks as nice.
I was pretty disappointed when the ST rumors started circulating shortly after I bought my FXLRS. That said, one year and 25k miles later I'm very happy with my FXLRS. I test rode the ST and really was not overwhelmed. I'd rather have an FXLRS and a full bagger for long days/trips.
Went down on my low rider s a day ago, luckily it wasn’t a bad crash just a broken throttle and bent bars and exhaust, so it’s in the shop now waiting for repairs, I miss it already

You have to ask yourself why you are not getting rid of the S completely since you hardly ride it. Unless you think ST will make you actually ride the bike.

I just picked up my Low Rider ST yesterday and it is fantastic! Looking forward to producing some great content with it!
I still like the digital gauge conversion better. I will probably do it next month so no more looking down. Great video.
