So I ended up in the U.S. Navy. I will be 59 in February and I have been thinking for the last five years about hitting the road doing exactly what you’re doing. Oh My goshness! I thought I was reading a comment that I had made, I am 59 already, and I am enlisted in the navy in 1984, Just weeks shy of being 21 years old. Electronics Technician. I don't regret it, and there are many times I almost wish I'd made a career out of the navy. But having just watched the movie it's a wonderful life again, I Remember feeling like the character George Bailey in that movie, I wanted to shake the dust off of this little jerk water town and see the world. My biggest worry for her would be Hollywood predators and other hangers-on, after she gets famous for her beauty and brains combo. Because of the brains, I think she can navigate those clowns.

@@carlfenger While many spend most of their time in the front country, there should be concern over the growing number of people in more remote areas. Much of the wildlife will avoid humans. Elk are a prime example. I have seen people push elk off preferred habitat by simply camping in the area.

I resonated with what you shared around a romance, marriage and a partner. When we are truly embodying more of the pure love frequency we are and living life from that signal rather than seeking someone to fill a void we may feel, that partner will magically appear into our lives usually unexpectedly. I have listened to a few so called "famous" speakers and none, I repeat NONE has the grace, the arguments, the appreciation and intelligence you show on your videos. I guess I made most of my life choices the wrong way, because I find myself now quite empty even though I was very lucky in many situations in the past, but at the end I am very empty inside. You have been a great source for some deep searching , of humbleness and real emotions with no filters and no prejudicial concepts. Sadly I am not a spring chicken anymore, and your words are happy words that somehow do make me quite sad. I guess they help realize how much I did not follow my instincts and I allowed myself to be part of the "heard". I truly appreciate and admire how you are managing your life and thank you for sharing it. Then you do this and and you realize that your even more complicated, JK. Your just as normal as the next one but extraordinary in your own way. And it is beautiful. I just recovered from a coma and intabated and the trauma from it is suffocating. Have followed you for ages, enjoy all the places you've been to! The best thing we EVER did was get a second dog for our Husky, Khina! She loved visiting the dog parks soooo much and seemed down once we went home to just the 2 cats. We selected 6 potentials from our local animal shelter and then let Khina meet each dog one-on-one. She was ga-ga over a male Belgian Malinois, so we took him home the same day. It's been 2+ years and they are still mad for each other ( of course both are fixed, no puppies will be coming). They literally play for hours every day, and sleep together at night. Good luck on your search!😃🐕🐕🦺

Thanks for this video Lyss. I found your channel through a friend who recommended it, so here I am whoop! I definetly can relate to the bus/van life and constantly on the move. I served as a Combat Officer and spent over 20 years doing that, and then later owning a small trucking company and living or splitting 'home' life and road life. I gotta say that my big truck was fully outfitted with everthing short of a shower! We traveled/hauled up into Alaska, Canada and all the USA , speciality freight and heavey haul mostly. You have to learn to be 'creative' on the road, from cooking( I rarely ate take out or cafe food) to where you gonna spend your sleep or downtime. We would mix in side trips for sight seeing and such whenever I could, if that meant leaving the truck parked somewhere safe and renting something to drive, well so be it. The same for whenever I could 'tour' places and get leave time overseas, lot of car and weekend trips all over Euro! Again, thanks Lyss, happy Trails Lil' Lady 🙂

Yes, enjoyed the video and would love to hear more. I was a “van-lifer” from Aug 2019 till Mar 2021 when I totaled my van. That put an end to my van-lifing for a bit. But I hope to soon be back at it. I too have been seeking “home”. But I believe that we find it within us which you have been doing. And so have I. But I feel I’ll always have some gypsy in me. 😊

I'm a glass blower.. I've considered a number of times to buy an rv or bus and putting my glass studio in it and hitting the road.. I already ship glass all over the world mostly the states. It would be sooooo easy to travel around and sell glass in just about any town.. and ship from anywhere... soooo tempting.. thx for the inspiration.. who knows .. maybe some day

I resonated with what you shared around a romance, marriage and a partner. When we are truly embodying more of the pure love frequency we are and living life from that signal rather than seeking someone to fill a void we may feel, that partner will magically appear into our lives usually unexpectedly. I have listened to a few so called "famous" speakers and none, I repeat NONE has the grace, the arguments, the appreciation and intelligence you show on your videos. I guess I made most of my life choices the wrong way, because I find myself now quite empty even though I was very lucky in many situations in the past, but at the end I am very empty inside. You have been a great source for some deep searching , of humbleness and real emotions with no filters and no prejudicial concepts. Sadly I am not a spring chicken anymore, and your words are happy words that somehow do make me quite sad. I guess they help realize how much I did not follow my instincts and I allowed myself to be part of the "heard". I truly appreciate and admire how you are managing your life and thank you for sharing it. You remind me of myself, the way you speak, your energy, love and light. It took me years to get there after much pain, self reflection and growth. I am ready for real genuine love in my life. I've said this before, but I'll say it again: I totally love your bus. I've seen Chuck's tour after the bus was finished, so I am familiar with what was done (which was amazing). Anyway, every time I see the interior of your bus, I just smile. It looks so homey and inviting. Love the shower room. And your bed (which Rio seems to love a lot) is so cool. Thank you for sharing all this! I seriously was wondering what Rio was. It was awesome getting more of your life even though so much of it is already out there you think. Then you do this and and you realize that your even more complicated, JK. Your just as normal as the next one but extraordinary in your own way. And it is beautiful. I would totally follow you to anywhere you take us. Within respectful boundaries of course. But my secret which isn't a secret around here is your my girl crush! I have so much respect for what you have done with your journey and how you go about so many things. You have helped me out more ways than you could know. I just recovered from a coma and intabated and the trauma from it is suffocating. But I have been watching your channel since the old bus and your perspective on so many things has been so helpful in figuring out some of my thoughts. I am rambling here so gonna wrap it up but know that you are amazing and do make a difference in others lives ever week. And it won't change if you are on land, bus, sea, or air. Have followed you for ages, enjoy all the places you've been to! The best thing we EVER did was get a second dog for our Husky, Khina! She loved visiting the dog parks soooo much and seemed down once we went home to just the 2 cats. We selected 6 potentials from our local animal shelter and then let Khina meet each dog one-on-one. She was ga-ga over a male Belgian Malinois, so we took him home the same day. It's been 2+ years and they are still mad for each other ( of course both are fixed, no puppies will be coming). They literally play for hours every day, and sleep together at night. Good luck on your search!😃🐕🐕🦺

I've been living in a camper, moved it alot! I find work with my man doing construction, painting, whatever comes up. Almost a year now, seen alot, alot of miles between Massachusetts and Virginia. More states to go!!!

I definetly can relate to the bus/van life and constantly on the move. I served as a Combat Officer and spent over 20 years doing that, and then later owning a small trucking company and living or splitting 'home' life and road life.
I gotta say that my big truck was fully outfitted with everthing short of a shower!
We traveled/hauled up into Alaska, Canada and all the USA , speciality freight and heavey haul mostly.
You have to learn to be 'creative' on the road, from cooking( I rarely ate take out or cafe food) to where you gonna spend your sleep or downtime.
We would mix in side trips for sight seeing and such whenever I could, if that meant leaving the truck parked somewhere safe and renting something to drive, well so be it.
The same for whenever I could 'tour' places and get leave time overseas, lot of car and weekend trips all over Euro!

Yes, enjoyed the video and would love to hear more. I was a “van-lifer” from Aug 2019 till Mar 2021 when I totaled my van. That put an end to my van-lifing for a bit. But I hope to soon be back at it. I too have been seeking “home”. But I believe that we find it within us which you have been doing. And so have I. But I feel I’ll always have some gypsy in me. 😊

I'm a glass blower.. I've considered a number of times to buy an rv or bus and putting my glass studio in it and hitting the road.. I already ship glass all over the world mostly the states. It would be sooooo easy to travel around and sell glass in just about any town.. and ship from anywhere... soooo tempting.. thx for the inspiration.. who knows .. maybe some day
