This really resonated with me. At 51yrs of age...I feel in my soul that this is my future way of life. Finding the courage to just "do it" and screw the fears...is the hardest part for me. I have two children that just started college. I just moved from my 3 bedroom townhouse that was killing me financially. Kids are gone so I thought, this is my time. Now I am feeling the urge to make this happen. Thank you for your story. Thank you for your vulnerability. I am so grateful I found you on TH-cam.
Make sure you have the complete skill set first. Just like living in a house. It's not just buying a sofa and carpet, there are things that need doing that are not fun too. You can't always rely on the goodwill of others to get you through. Take an evening class in basic car maintenance and at 'least' be able to fix a flat!
Hi Beth, I know how you feel. I have been thinking about joining the many nomads that are roaming the country now. As one of the replies to this message said, take a car maintenance class, which is a good idea. I think for those of us, I'm 58, who has worked for years to establish a stable, and structured life. Taking off and leaving all of that behind can be challenging, but not impossible. I would recommend checking out RV, or Vanlife groups on Facebook (I cringe typing that). The people (many in our age group) in these groups communicate, asking and answering questions about Vanlife?RV life. My plan is prep myself, purge and store what's worth keeping. Then in the spring, hit the road. I wish you the best!
You should be on TH-cam. Your voice needs to be heard. Your touch needs to be felt. Your wisdom needs to be shared. You have an insight that needs to be experienced. Your honesty and openness and genuineness are beautiful and sweet and inspiring. Thank you for creating this Channel. Thank you for being present. Thank you for caring enough. And more. Thank you. Namasté.
Here i am at 4:30 in the morning, alone in a foreign country, trying to discipline myself towards my dreams, trying to not fall forever in the so called normal life, without a purpose, and you show up. Every video that you post is a lesson for me in so many ways and I am grateful for it. Thank you for existing!
I’m an old fart , followed my dream in 2005 after I met the love of my life. I left / sold everything an went on the journey. Good times bad times, emotional roller coaster etc etc. lost the love of my life due to a split decision and a bullet that took her away. At first I wanted to join her and do the same, but I couldn’t because of my other love, my daughter. I felt completely lost, amputated from everything that I dreamt of and worked so hard for. I was able to pickup the piece but empty inside, no goal etc just surviving to keep afloat. Than I had health issues that I ignored for various reasons, after major surgery and complications I can’t work no more. Your story brought memories and emotions that talked about and experience. Traveling in my early days thought me so much about myself, life and what it takes. If I was younger I absolutely would have taken the road you follow now. I’m on my own for many years and get along with myself most of the time, besides the pitty parties. Take it from me your on the right path doing the right thing for you and your doggie . Thnx for sharing your awesome.💕🤘🏻
I have been watching your videos from when you had your first bus and you were getting ready to sell it. I enjoy all your videos but I especially enjoyed this one about your life how it all started and how it’s going up until this day. My pipe dream for years has been when I get ready to retire next year is to travel around and enjoy each state that I wanna go to, enjoy the beauty and just to sit out and look at the ocean or the mountains and just take in the nature. I think would be so awesome. I have been dreaming for over 20 years about doing this lifestyle traveling around. You inspire me and give me inspirational to do that. Keep up the videos and I can’t wait till Sunday to see your videos. God bless you!
I understand completely. I too am now an old fart, cancer took my wife a few years ago. No kids or family to help get though it. When the love of your life dies, and that is horrible enough, the life you had dies with them. You are left with nothing. All the plans, hopes, dreams....your purpose in life....gone. People that have not experienced such a loss simply can not understand how empty life can become in the span of a last breath. I'm too old to start over a third time, and frankly the thought of lying beside anyone but my wife at night gives me the creeps. So I'm currently building a rig, will be selling the house in a couple years and travelling until I get too old to take care of myself. No idea what will come after that.
To Joel.....Like you, I watch all of Lyssa's videos. I'm happily married to an "old fart". Wonder if that makes me a "Fartessa"? So.... married to this guy for over 70 years (we are in our 90's)....obviously, we are on the downhill slope, right? Naturally, we have gained some wisdom along the way. I think what we enjoy in watching Lyssa's journey...is her ability to search.. and reveal.... what it takes others a lifetime to find....if ever. My only explanation is that she is an "old soul" in a beautiful young mind. Obviously, she is helping so many others, while on her own journey. Wish we could stick around and watch where she goes with this. My heart goes out to you for losing your lifes partner. Too soon I will share in your experience. I dread that day. All good comforts to you. *Recliner Babe*... and her Handsome Prince
I think you definitely have a presence on TH-cam, your story is unwritten. You have people on here that have a daily morning routine, talk about the stock market or build a home of out wood and simple tools. They all have an audience and so do you 🙂 Let's get you to 100K so you have that Silver Play Button to remind you of your accomplishment that only a small percentile will EVER achieve!
Following this. Content every day coul help US. Waiting for your posts once a week doesn't feel like enough. We want experience every day. Please post more. Perfection is not necessary. Give us each transition, please!!
Hi Hon, your story just really touched my heart. I’m a grandma, and have young grandchildren your age. I just hope I don’t offend you with what I have to say…. When you have that emptiness, and searching and yearning in your heart, it is God calling to you to be his child. If you confess with your mouth that “ Jesus is Lord,” and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It’s just that simple. He will give you comfort and peace and be with you always. He will be your Father, and love you completely That is it, I just had a need to tell you that truth ❤️
You're a gift, Alyssa. Minute 27 or so, I got teary-eyed at the thought of your inner 7 year old Alyssa and how proud she must be. May you continue to live up to your imagination and purpose!
Imagine the stories you'll be able to tell your grandkids (if that happens for you). You've done more in the first part of your adult life than most people do their entire lives.
While listening to your story, I was watching Reo. He would stretch, roll over, look as if he's heard this story saying "where's the popcorn. Once or twice he looked like he was having doggie dreams. Reo is a great companion. Keep videos coming. Life is an adventure, not the destination.
Just listened to your story. Your grandma and the car lot...God works in mysterious ways...whether you believe or not..I'm glad I found you. You're just delightful...
You know what I love most about this video, apart from ALL of it? Observing Rio in the background and seeing how, as your narrative turns more upbeat and happy, she comes more and more forwards to ask for attention. Such an amazing dog.
A woman after my own heart. Found ur channel last night, watched several videos up until about 3am. The most important advice I've ever received is to follow one's heart. It absolutely makes ALL the difference. You have clearly shown that here. Please continue to share!!!
Alyssa I'm old I built my first conversion back in 93 it took forever and thousands of hours networking we didn't have the internet imagine that we made phone calls and drove hours from home for parts etc. The biggest impression for me was the bus conversion magazine I looked forward to seeing that little 20 page or less magazine ever month. We were considered crazy back then well look at all the so called crazy people now right and I'm working on my second conversion now for retirement. So hang on to your dreams it's what drives us. Safe travels girl.
Your story is amazing. Everything you went through, all the tough times prepared you for where you are now. What a triumph. There will be another adventure for you that's coming your way. Just know this....You are ready for it and equal to what's coming. Smile and receive it. It was yours all along, it's been waiting for you to be ready for it. Peace.
Thank you for your vulnerability to share your story. It really is beautiful. I so appreciate your personal struggle with self love, I'm 66 years old am still snuggling with that concept. Keep sharing girl, it is inspiring and so beautiful!
Amazing story - you are an amazing person. Keep up the great work. Through struggle and hardship, some people break, others become stronger. No question what has happen to you. VERY happy for you. You should be proud of your own courage and how you have developed yourself.
Not to devalue anything, but a beautiful and articulate girl who has charm, charisma and thoughtfulness that shows through stories is, like, one of the certain recipes for success of TH-cam. Cheers and continued success.
@@danziegner god...also, being the person who knew all the secrets of the universe from her inner child and figured out the exact way you deal with people to propel her "frugal", "penniless" waif of a self into the vast eternity of the sun...we must be poignant every second of our existence in order to have everybody believe our life story. And, it may all be exactly as described but I get such an awful feeling about this one channel and I don't even understand why. I feel horrible for coming to basically the same conclusion as you...if you don't look and figure out how to sound just like this you're not going to be able to really live like this.
So much of your story resonated with me. From moving around constantly as a child, always being the new girl at school, and not having a stable place to call home or go back to later in life. My imagination and writing were/are my therapy as well. I also went to Africa for the first time during college, and I lost a friend to cancer at 27, that really shook my worldview. I converted and moved into my first van in 2017 and it was so hard to find good how to information on conversions back then. I also stumbled into the road lifestyle out of necessity and started filming my journey as a video diary that ended up helping me sustain the lifestyle for a few years. Anyway, a lot has changed in my life since then, just got married to a guy I met on the road and we live off grid on 5 acres now. I rarely share my story, raw emotions or writing in video format these days, but watching your videos always inspires me to get back into it. So thank you.
This is a really great video. I truly appreciated your honesty at the end where you make it clear that even though you seemed to have found confidence in yourself as well as purpose, you still don't have things all figured out, that it's not an easy lifestyle, etc., but that it seems right for you. I love that you didn't romanticize it. I find it interesting that so many of you, (I follow a few others living this life), after several years on the road, eventually feel the need to find a piece of land to create a more permanent home base. Your journey has been pretty incredible thus far and you should be proud of all that you have accomplished as well as the courage that it has taken to get here.
Thank you so much for noticing that piece of the video, it was important for me to include it exactly for what you describe. I'm really glad you enjoyed this video,. Thanks for being here friend.
So pleased to have found you and your channel. I will continue to follow and will play catch up with the videos already posted. As a senior I wish I had done something like this when I was your age and found myself as opposed to being pushed into a box and forced to conform. I will however live my young life once again vicariously via you and your travels . You are certainly a charming young woman and I am pleased for you and this journey of self discovery.
You got a new subscriber today young lady! Your an inspiration...figuring out life & finding yourself before 40! Hugs for your loss, those emotions you feel when you choke up are just love...no need to apologize. About to start bus/van life myself so many feels happening...terror & excitement. I have experienced my own trauma & spent the first 40 years of my life white knuckle surviving. Almost made the same choice your friend did a couple of times but I was very young & super bad at it...thankfully. No support system unless I would tolerate more abuse so...became homeless with children, was getting back on my feet again then BAM COVID...anyway, enough of that. You are wise beyond your years...thank you for sharing this video...it motivating & encouraging! Every Blessing! Now
Hi new friend! I'm so glad you stumbled upon my channel, and thank you for sharing a bit about your story. I'm so sorry to hear you've been white knuckling for so long, but I absolutely believe in your. Keep following your intuition. It's an honor to share these videos with you. Thank you for being here.
You are so inspiring. You really touched my heart in telling your story. I feel like the child in me is still trying to find the true meaning of life. I know very well that it's the life of a nomad. I crave a peaceful life. A life with purpose, which I'm still trying to figure out on how to fulfill it. But thank you for sharing your story. 💜
Kat, thank you so much for watching. Listen to that inner child. She'll point you exactly where you need to go. I know you'll get there, and try to enjoy the chaos of the ride along the way. sending you my love, thank you for being here.
I am living vicariously through you. Don’t you dare leave us without you and Reo!!!. You are truly coming into your own. What you are doing is where my dream child lives. What about your eating habits. Do you cook? I think last time you baked in your oven was when you made the inaugural peach pie. I am forty years older than you, but there still is that spark .
This, absolutely, is my favorite video that you’ve put out so far! It’s so nice to learn where you’re coming from on your journey and it’s so kind of you to share that with us. I’m hoping to see you and others at Gutted in October! Keep living your best life and thanks again for sharing with us! 🥰
Mary-Beth!! Thank you so so much for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, it was special tome. PLEASE come say hello at gutted! We will have a day off in the middle of the competition, so I'm hoping to mingle a lot then. :)
I just found your channel today 😃 am I the only one that is literally in tears? 😢😭 in a good eye opening way. You’re amazing and I’m thankful I found your channel…. At about the 8:45 mark on this video is when I really connected with you and knew exactly what you meant. I’m so thankful that you took that leap of faith and you belong on TH-cam but actually even other platforms. Keep living that dream and inspiring others to do the same ❤️
You have balls of steel, and Charlie is your staple. I'm glad you've made so many friends. Because when the family has all devided it's the friends that become the new family to watch over you and keep you company. I hope wherever Charlie lands you land close by to him. Love your videos.
Alyssa as a person that suffers with depression I want to thank u for being so transparent. My heart was so overwhelmed when I specifically spoke about ur friend that had passed from this extreme monster that dwells within. I looked forward every week to watch ur stories and adventures with u. I pray that God will keep I safe and protect in ur constant travel. Babygirl, thank you sooo much for sharing ur life with us.
I have been a viewer since video numero uno. I’ve so enjoyed watching you grow and engage your audience and become settled in your new bus. What an inspiration you have been to me, a 51 year old social worker with a purple Mohawk & a steel hip. You are one of the people that make independence look so sexy and authenticity so beautiful. Don’t ever stop. Your videos and your life allow me to live vicariously. I love them. You Grow Girl!
Wendi you just made my day. Thank you for seeing me as the woman I hope to be. You sound like such a badass, I'm glad you're here and that we're friends. :) Keep shining Wendi!
So now, I, too, have stumbled across you here on YT, and I'm blown away by your self awareness, drive, sensitivity, and intelligence. What a future you have! Your story is just beginning. You do, indeed, deserve someone very special in your life. You'll find him one day. And I will look forward to dropping in on you thru this medium to see how you're doing, from time to time. Bless you, girl!
Wow... Awesome story! I felt the same way you did when you graduated from college only mine was a little earlier when I graduated from high school. I had no idea what I wanted to do so I got on the so-called "escalator" with all the other ducks I knew and found myself in a row not knowing how to get off the escalator. That probably sounds funny but that's how I felt. After going through the meat grinder of the finance industry with all the trimmings that went along with it I discovered that that best job I ever had was mowing grass when I was putting myself through college. It's funny when I realized that I was the only one that could get me out of the box that I so neatly wrapped myself in. I realized that leaving the box wasn't my issue, but going towards something would be my source of inspiration. I went and got a pilot's license, skydived bought a motorcycle and became a free spirit. The little boy in me finally came alive and I discovered who he (I) really was (am). Life is meant to be lived, not tolerated. Be true to yourself, you're the only one that can or will. You have a knack of storytelling in a colorful adventurous way. I can see that you're artistic. Your TH-cam channel is the product, and you are the process. It matches well together.
Finally had a chance to watch this episode and... you're welcome! I'm glad that I was able to help provide some insight in the beginning of your beautiful bus life adventure. Hugs!
Started watching when you were trading vans.thanks for being so real and laying yourself out there. Favourite video so far. Building a truck camper with a similar goal to yours You rock!!!
Loved your story of how you got here. Truly inspiring 💖 Rio steals my heart with the looks, raised 👁️ brows as you were talking... beautiful dog. Keep chasing a wonderful life.
I just found you yesterday. The fact that you make little mistakes in your videos and then just shrug and laugh (instead of editing them out) really caught my attention; that is how I am too. We do our best and keep moving forward, right? I’m not going to stop trying lots of different things just because somebody may make fun of me or think I’m a doofus! I’m 65 and recently retired, and I’ve been toying with the idea of a small bus conversion for a few years now. My sisters are horrified, but it fits with my rolling stone spirit. My last child at home just got married and will be moving to Canada as soon as his visa comes through (we’re in California), and then I may do this. (Too bad the prices are so much higher after Covid!) Thanks for inspiring so many people. (And I’m happy that you found Ben!)💕
Hi, just a reminder of the Earth's children book series by Jean M Auel. Even though it plays of in the prehistoric era, the story is about a girl Ayla who has to find herself, survive and grow to become who she was meant to be. It starts with the Clan of the Cave Bear and I think it would definitely resonate with you as she struggles, overcomes adversity, learns and ultimately conquers. Even though it is a story it reads more like a biography of her life (even though fictional). it was published in 1980 and it is one of the best written book series I have come across. It wont just be entertaining there is a lifetime of lessons that can be gained, you mentioned you have it on your reading list - dont forget to get yourself a copy.
I read the Ayla series many years ago. From what I recall, it was a great pre history imagination of what life could have been like. I enjoyed the progressive story line. I haven’t followed Alyssa’s travels, so I’ll defer commenting on her connection to Alta.
I came across your videos awhile back. The blue bus was a common site on the road for me. Once I saw it in your videos, I realized it's role in your life. I've moved 27 times before the aged of 32. So I can understand some of your youth. And I can understand the role of a home. I sensed something special about ol blue. To see it carry your journey through life helps me feel connected to your story. As well as your inner growth has given me strength in myself to make decisions for my best interests. I am grateful to have found your story. To have shared some of your wisdom and grace. Your honesty is refreshing and transparent. I wish the world was filled with beams of light as bright as yours. Thank you. Shine your light to heal others.
We love you - and your bus! You are becoming part of my journey and I’m sure that is true for many of us. You have such a beautiful strong spirit and I am so impressed at how you find your way. You belong exactly where you are. And exactly where you are going. I think that is rare, but it’s the path of genuine living. Thank you Alyssa.
Alyssa, I love your story. Thanks for sharing your life in an humble and vulnerable way. You're so inspiring, God bless you and if you weren't on TH-cam we would be missing out on a rich and beautiful life 💞 🙏
Hi, this is Gerhard M....you are God's gift to mankind. Guardian Angels do watch n cover you. Do not give up dreaming about a better world. Super Peace is soon to come...you are awesome...stay safe!
You just proved a valuable point and lesson for a lot of people it just goes to show the resilience of the human being you are so brave too take the opportunity to find your purpose where a lot of people get stuck including myself up until 2 years ago I have a video on my channel and it's just to let people know that you can do whatever you set your mind to do on the path that makes you happy cuz at the end of the day that's what matters your happiness and self-worth. I just feel like you're teaching people to not be afraid to try pretty awesome Alyssa you've inspired me for sure!
What we love about you is that you are so authentic and heartwarming to watch. I have been watching your channel from the start. I was not aware of your previous travels, and that was nice to see. And OMG, you were so adorable as a child. Those videos were sweet. Stay strong, and I look forward to seeing more of your travels and your next endeavor with buying land to build a home. And keep sharing your wisdom with us throughout your journey.
this comment truly warmed my heart. Thank you, for being here from the very beginning. It fills my heart more than you even know. Rio and I send our love, thank you for being here.
I am honored like everyone else to be invited into your reality. Throughout these videos, your growth has been remarkable. I see that the creator of all things in this life seen and unseen is your aura., And it is that which keeps you safe throughout all of your journeys past and into your future. I’ll wrap this up by saying the spirit that looks out from behind your eyes shines brightly, continually take care of yourself.. during those days when it’s most needed, but rarely herd from one human being to another, I love you
I've always admired you. You have seen so much and done so much at such a young age and your journey is far from over. Good Luck and God Bless ! Lenny in Maryland 🙂
I have noticed that many vehicle dwellers, RV, campers, car lifestylers, have a Safety concern about people approaching their vehicles when they are sleeping, or just inside of their vehicle. To assist with your Awareness for your vehicle, There may Be the option to utilize and install a camera system outside of your vehicle. How to Do this... There are RV backup camera systems available including online including Amazon Some systems include 1 or multiple cameras in a set, about 4 and may include a visual display monitor. Some of these Backup camera systems include this separate video display monitor, to view all of the installed cameras, and some of these monitors include various multiple functions, including a recording features, dvr type functions and touch screen display, among other functions. Your cameras can Be utilized to view around your entire vehicle, including front, rear and sides. The cost I have seen has been around low 2 hundred and mid 3 hundreds, prices may vary. I have actually seen this shown online where the system was installed and a entire 360 degree view was available on a RV. Please Do your own research on the Best options for you. Hope this information may Be Helpful. God’s Blessings to you, and your viewing audience. Safe, Happy Travels Author Advocate, Activist for Humanity, Jason Sandifer, Michigan, 4/18/2023 4/25/2023
Alyss, I am a relative new subscriber... since May of this year...a 69 y.o. father of 4 amazing (grown) kids & a grandfather of 9 wonderful progeny. You are somewhere in btwn them all in age, but your wisdom and spirit is that of a woman many years your senior. I always enjoy your videos and am so proud of the person that you are and are continually developing into. You are a beautiful, articulate and courageous adventurer. I wish you nothing but the very best that life and the road may offer.
John, I love hearing about your family. Your words touch my heart more than you know. Thank you for this encouragement and kindness. I am so lucky to have uplifting people like yourself on this journey with me. Sending love from Rio and myself. -Alyssa
I’m impressed and admire you very much! How bold and yet scary that is for you to step out of the “norm” and live your life with intention and not the way the world tells you to live it!! If only we all could be so brave. Best wishes in all you do!
Hell of a ride there. Just wow. I'm always inspired, every single time. You bare your soul, and it is delightful. This content of yours, and the other's the algorithm leads me to, to be a part of a wonderful community of beautiful people is a rich reward in a craaaaayzy world. I'm 60 and learning from you dear. One hell of a woman... 🙏 Jono
To the dear sweet Alyssa. Some of those things you have left behind you were enough to cause headaches and depression to many people but you have come out the other end as a marvelous young woman. You are an inspiration to many. You are beautiful, intelligent, charismatic, well spoken and at peace with the world in a positive way. I think that most of your viewers would love to give you a big hug just to show our appreciation of what you have been able to do with your life, I know I sure would like to. Whether you know it or not you have been blessed. Are you still in touch with your grandmother, it sounded like she really cared about what happened to you. I shed a tear in writing this. If you ever decide to come as far north as Alberta in Canada I would love to give you that big hug just to let you know that there are many people that care for you and what happens to you. And I should not forget Rio.
Aw Ray thank you so much for this sweet comment! Sending you a big hug through the internet. Yes, I am still in touch with my grandma! I am so so lucky to have her, and am not sure where I would be without her. Sending love from Rio and myself. Thank you for being here Ray.
@@REGRETLYSS1 I am very happy to be here and to be watching your beautiful videos about your journey. I am not one of those macho guys that thinks they are god's gift to females and am actually the opposite as I am always kind and caring to all females and wishing them all the best life they can have. What ever happens to you in the future I hope it will be for the best.
I just found your channel and... wow ! So nice to see a real human with the heart connected to the soul. You have everything : a nice dog, a nice bus, a nice image, a nice sound and you are a good storyteller. You know that 100k in 1 year is a success. And, to end, thank you for sharing your good vibes, I am sure a lot of people need that, need to recontact their inner child, their goal. Hello from Belgium, Bye.
I don't know how many people realize that being a TH-camr IS a full-time job! Most viewers see the finished (edited) product, and think, "Wow,...that looks like fun!" Few realize the work entailed in just getting a good shot of you driving away when the sun is going down, or when Rio does something cute, and the camera was off, or the tripod fell over, or the clouds moved in, or the weather would not cooperate! You fight the "unknowns" every single day and for those of us that realize the amount of blood, sweat, and tears that you put into each and every frame,...I give you a huge THANK YOU! You are appreciated. You are admired. You are LOVED. ❣ From one of your fans in sunny Portugal! 🇵🇹❣
You are a beautiful old soul far ahead of your age in wisdom and reflection on yourself and life. I also know God has the right perfect person for you out there who will appreciate who and what you are without judgement. Just have to have faith and patience! God bless you and Rio and a bright future ahead of hopes, dreams, and adventures!
Working for a company that offered benefits and show they would take care of you, (health care, dental care, fund matching savings, retirement; all were part of showing up at a location 5-days a week). Pretty much is history today, (employees are on their own). Management used to be helpful and developing work-skills through training. When downsizing of work forces, automation, off shore manufacturing; the employment environment changed to a; “we no longer want *many* employees feeling”. Smart choice in finding your independent way of support, through the rough life moments. Congrat.’s 🎉
Hello. I'm Michelle. I just discovered your channel probably through Nomadic Movement and I'm thankful you shared your story. Your warm spirit is a breath of fresh air in the online space. Parts of your journey resonate with me so well. I'm excited to see the transformation with your new home, although I love it the way it is... so unique and charming, it's perfect... but also nice to put one's own personal touches, I get it. So inspiring!!! Enjoy... blessings!!! :)
What a Fantastic life story and self knowledge you have. Your an inspiration to all people and all ages. I admire you and I am so grateful for you sharing and I'm grateful I stumbled upon your channel. I found your channel by accident, we now I think it was supposed to happen. Thank you! Proud of you!
Alyssa, Thank you for sharing your story. I’m so impressed with not only the work that you have done on your bus conversation, I’ve watched every video, it’s beautiful but I’m more impressed with how much work you have done on yourself. It’s so rare that someone as young as you has taken the time to work through your trauma to get yourself to a place where you know you are going to be okay 👍🏻 I just turned 62 yesterday and my journey only started a few years ago. Working through addiction, self esteem issues and a life of not knowing where I really fit in. I still have a few bags to unpack and one more kid to get through college but I feel the load getting lighter every day. I’m looking for the courage to take the leap into bus life. A simpler freer life. Channels like yours are a real inspiration. Keep it up. I don’t know you but I need you. Peace ✌️
You are truly an inspiration. I wish I was your age doing what you're doing finding out about myself as much as you are It's a magical beautiful Journey. Thank you so much for being the catalyst for this older lady to get her s*** together and stop living the mundane life. I am truly grateful that you took the opportunities and chances and paths that you did because you are telling a story that so many people are yearning for. You are a blessing without even knowing how many lives you're touching.
Gorgeous 😍 I'm a 34 year old retired veteran living in my RV in Oregon never married, never dated and no kids! Looking to buy land, but I'm saving up and looking for the right relationships to one day be so lucky as to have a beautiful girl like you in my life ❤ 💕 💗 💓 💖
It's a pleasure to meet you Elizabeth. You are amazing and beautiful and a very strong minded lady. God's army of Angels are with. God Bless and keep you safe always. If there is anything you ever need or just an ear to listen or someone to talk to I'm here for you. Take care my friend.
I stumbbled accross you and immediately related to that lost feeling. My big problem is that I was instilled with the idea of giving back, to society, the earth, to somehow leave something that mattered, that helped....you can see I don't even know this feeling. I will say a prayer for you to succeed in your journey. Wish I had seen this 9 months ago, but it is. P.S. stay safe and you have a new subscriber.
Alyssa, 1st I want to say thank you for sharing your life on the road. 2nd I want to say you're a guiding light for so many out there that are doing the same or want to do the same as you. Like you know everything happens for a reason. So you're here for a reason. Most of all, Thank You I enjoy watching.
Thank you for sharing 10:43. One of my closest friends died from depression in late 2019. Such news can hit you pretty hard, and it did hit me. But then was covid, and then the full-scale war began. Nothing left but to chin up and look and move forward. ✊🏻🇺🇦
Thank you for inviting all us strangers to join you on our journey through life. You by far have gone through a lot more than most people, but we all have a story to tell, people to meet, and purpose to share. Thank you and may the Lord continue to keep you safe in your journey - Amen!
You have a storied life. Consider writing a book. You have a lot to offer and there are a lot of people that identify with you and your journey. Keep up the great work and congratulations on your house and your ability to transform to various versions of yourself. ❤I love it.
That's primarily what life is all about. Every human has been asking (for the last 200 years) what life is all about. It's about discovery. It's about learning. I'm glad that you're on TH-cam. I think the world needs to hear your story. And this V-log is a diary that covers the adventures that you have both in your life and on your road of discovery.. that and it provides a road map that you can use if you come to an impasse and need a direction to go. I think it's beautiful that you're sharing your story with all of us and letting us experience everything with you as you experience it.
and today, you doing really well. you've been thru a lot but these experiences are what made you strong and gave you a better outlook in life. very impressive
That was heartwarming, and inspiring at the same time. Thank you for sharing this story with us. Have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful life journey in 2023 ;-)
I connect to this 1 million %. Just about everything you shared here is pretty right on and how it has gone down for me. I am out of an insane youth, broken home, A great success and a failed relationship. Life in shambles and now I, after a year of prep and leaving it all behind in my converted Sienna Van (Wilhelmina :). I will bring books and sit in wonderful places, meet beautiful people and learn to love again. Myself mostly. You are wonderful. Thank you Allyssa. You deserve all the success! 💔❤ This is the very beginning and I hope I am scrappy enough.🙋 Blessings.
Vinnie!!! You are soul family. I wish you the absolute best on your journey. I am so excited for you and hope to see you and Wilhelmina (love the name) on the road some time. You are already scrappy enough. Sending big love from Rio and myself. Thank you for being here.
I love your kind soul and big heart , in my early life i joined the british army at 16 years old to escape a creul and heartless home , I was never accepted by my 5 other siblings or my military peers .so after 9 years i left the army ,and with 40 thousand british pounds in a sock hidden in my ruck sack i traveled the world for almost 3 years jobbing were ever i could .So i admire what you are doing , I only realised recently that for most of my life i have been suffering servire mental helth issues . I am now in therapy ,thankyou for pointing me in the right direction, I LOVE YOUR DOG, she is so layed back.
Awesome story. I have seen some of you travels in the past. Love that you said it is not easy and every day is somewhat a struggle and I can relate. Went through a divorce 4 years ago after living four years separate and apart in the same house. One top of that I got diagnosed with a respiratory condition caused by Asbestos 7 years ago. I did a kayak fishing trip to Florida and found I didn’t need a rescue inhale 4-6 time a day. Did a few trips back and each time within 24 hours I could breathe. My doctor recommended get a service dog and train it for me and that I move to Florida. My company allowed me to work remotely two years before COVID. So I work remotely, retired from the military and am a 100 percent disabled veteran. I have since moved to Fl, bought a Belgian Malinois before the move, trained her as service dog and got another pup 6 months later. I needed to live life and my pups are part of my life. Have picked up some jet skis and trained the pups to ride with me. If I fall in they bring me back to the skis. I recently went on FB market place and got a pop up topper for my Tacoma. Ordered what I wanted to set it up with and my son, daughter in law and myself put it all together. We just got back from a camping trip in Marathon Fl and stayed on the beach at a state Park. The set up was awesome and survived 90+ degree heat in search of lobsters. My goal is to camp up North and do my third year hunting alligators in Fl then in the fall and winter head out west for a long road trip. Life is short enjoy life while you can. Love watching your pup throughout the video. Plan to hit TX, OK, NM, AZ, CO and ID if all goes as planned. Stay positive and enjoy life.
You’re the real deal. Thanks for sharing your story. Amazing accomplishment graduating College. Traveling to foreign countries…Living Nomadic life. One of my wish list when I retire with the wife going around North America what natures has to offer. Plus traveling Foreign countries. You’re childhood made you a better and stronger person. Divorce could take a toll on Kids. Watch a few of your TH-cam videos. Stay positive, strong and when you feel down find that Happy place…God bless stay safe..🙂
I am so proud of you, beautiful! You did it and will continue. The way you got here was such a beautiful story. Nothing is by accident they are road bumps to get you to your destiny. Keep on going. ❤️
I think it’s important that people pay attention to the last part where you talk about the difficulties of this type of life. So many mainstream folks think vanlifers are just off playing while everyone else works and it’s just not true. Unless you’re born rich, you’re going to have to do something to live; this is just another way of surviving. Great vid!
Thanks for sharing your story. The history of Skoolie was fun too. I remember the lucky bus. I have Been finding my way as a nomad since 2017. Before that hiking was my thing. living out of a tent and running a hostel for 10 years. Working remote and living the Skoolie life. Hope to see ya out on the road someday ✌️ I’m enjoying the videos. You tell the story in a way that makes one think and look inside too. I appreciate the thought and effort that must go into making these videos
Your story of when you were a child growing up almost made me cry for it sounded just like mine in so many ways. The daydreams, moving all the time, dysfunctional family that you can't help but love them. My hair stood up all over. You are helping me through some hard times so no matter how you got here, I believe things happen for a reason. You are a beautiful person living the life I wish I could. Thank you for sharing your stories. They are therapy for people who grew up in similar situations
What a wonderful story. I'm new to your channel, only been around a few weeks. I discovered you through Nomadic Movement with their traveling 48 states in 48 days to hide expensive coffee. When you met up with them, is when I was introduced to you. I've been watching your videos to get caught up. I really like your cottage house, everything about it and look forward to your videos. Thank you.
You were definitely meant to be on TH-cam. I found your channel when I hit rock bottom with my depression. Your videos have helped with my slow recovery, which I am still working on. I wished when I was younger and more recently I had listen to my inner child. I look forward to watching your future journeys. Love from England 🇬🇧
I think you and Rio should make a movie, I'd pay to see it.
Do it & have no regrets!
Good luck!
Make sure you have the complete skill set first. Just like living in a house. It's not just buying a sofa and carpet, there are things that need doing that are not fun too. You can't always rely on the goodwill of others to get you through. Take an evening class in basic car maintenance and at 'least' be able to fix a flat!
Go for it!!!
Same age❤
You should be on TH-cam. Your voice needs to be heard. Your touch needs to be felt. Your wisdom needs to be shared. You have an insight that needs to be experienced. Your honesty and openness and genuineness are beautiful and sweet and inspiring. Thank you for creating this Channel. Thank you for being present. Thank you for caring enough. And more. Thank you. Namasté.
I wish I could write like you ❤️
Cheesy
Well said! It must feel good to have validation. Although from total strangers there seems like a lot of positive reinforcement.
@@openmindperspectives you took the words out of my mouth
Relax!
Here i am at 4:30 in the morning, alone in a foreign country, trying to discipline myself towards my dreams, trying to not fall forever in the so called normal life, without a purpose, and you show up. Every video that you post is a lesson for me in so many ways and I am grateful for it. Thank you for existing!
thank YOU for existing!! Sounds like you are on a soul venture. Best of luck, so excited for you.
They all have an audience and so do you 🙂 Let's get you to 100K so you have that Silver Play Button to remind you of your accomplishment that only a small percentile will EVER achieve!
oh my goodness what an achievement that would be. Thank you Ros!! And thank you for being here. :)
Following this. Content every day coul help US. Waiting for your posts once a week doesn't feel like enough. We want experience every day. Please post more. Perfection is not necessary. Give us each transition, please!!
I want a 100K too!! Right now I have zero.

Blessings and peace to you 🙏 ❤
Alyssa, you're a beautiful person. Thank you for letting us into your life.
You are simply an Angel 🤗. Your stories are so sincere and magnificent ...Greetings from Ukraine 🇺🇦
You did that too. I use the excuse that crying is good for the eyes which it is.
KEEP FOLLOWING UR DREAMS GIRL, MANY OF US R WITH YOU. (CHIC'S RULE).
Peace.
wow. I needed to hear this victoria. Thank you, so much, for being here. Rio and I send our love. ♥

Thank you for your vulnerability to share your story. It really is beautiful. I so appreciate your personal struggle with self love, I'm 66 years old am still snuggling with that concept. Keep sharing girl, it is inspiring and so beautiful!
It takes courage to challenge yourself! Living in solitude is a confrontation with the most important person in your life! You go girl!
That, and asking strangers (men) for money through the internet.
@@danziegner pretty uncalled for. All YT’ers are essentially doing that, and it isn’t a gender based ask.
@@micheledavis3735 Wow. I am sorry for whatever someone did to you. Good-e-ness.
the world is a better place for having you in it! you just be you!
Oduševljen sam ..ti si posebna.. ❤️..zračiš energijom..pozdrav Boba Serbia
Your doing a great job as a human being carry on girl you got this
You got a new subscriber today young lady!

Hey Lyss, I'm not on Instagram.... Just an FYI
Finally had a chance to watch this episode and... you're welcome! I'm glad that I was able to help provide some insight in the beginning of your beautiful bus life adventure. Hugs!
Started watching when you were trading vans.thanks for being so real and laying yourself out there.

This brought tears to my eyes. You have a beautiful soul, so glad you have found your way. 💚

Love watching your journey, through your videos Alyssa.Best of luck.
Nice, happy for you. Wish you success and happiness for the future as well as challenges. Take Care
I have noticed that many vehicle dwellers, RV, campers, car lifestylers, have a Safety concern about people approaching their vehicles when they are sleeping, or just inside of their vehicle.
To assist with your Awareness for your vehicle,
There may Be the option to utilize and install a camera system outside of your vehicle.
How to Do this...
There are RV backup camera systems available including online including Amazon
Some systems include 1 or multiple cameras in a set, about 4 and may include a visual display monitor.
Some of these Backup camera systems include
this separate video display monitor, to view all of the installed cameras, and some of these monitors include various multiple functions, including a recording features, dvr type functions and touch screen display, among other functions.
Safe, Happy Travels

🙏 Jono
Jono!! Sending big love to you my friend. Thank you for your kind words. Keep shining.
Thank You for sharing! ♥️
Your life sounds like an epic rollercoaster with the harness jittered loose making each twist, turn and loop ever more exhilarating.
People follow you because of your personality. Don't let your pride keep you on the road. I spent 10 years traveling. It can get tiring.
Eric, this is such a thoughtful and empathetic comment. I truly, truly appreciate it. Rio and I send our love, thank you for being here.
From one of your fans in sunny Portugal! 🇵🇹❣
That was nice of your grandma. She knew you were hurting and had you come stay. ❤️. Grandparents always know. I miss all my grandparents.
You have figured out at your age what took me nearly 60 years to discover. Bless you and safe travels. Thank you for sharing.
Wow an epic life journey enjoy and thanks for shearing greetings from South Africa
Peace ✌️
These videos are so inspiring to not only the bus life community but women and creators. You are a breath of fresh air! 💜
@@REGRETLYSS1 Awe…🥺 I feel that. Thank u. I look forward to that day. Soul Family, I like it.
I’ve just got to say your grandma is the best ❤️
You have an incredible story! Thank you so much for putting yourself out there - you are a true inspiration! 🤗
Rio clearly needs thought bubbles above his head while you are talking! Thanks for sharing your personal story!
This was wonderful. Thank you for being so vulnerable in sharing your story. It was a gift.
Such a pretty girl. Happy to see you get past your childhood things. I retired at 52 and been on the road for the past 7 years.
