We are struggling with 2 options no one is talking about. Do we fly out, pick a rental, sign a lease, fly home, and start the move? Or do we pack up and move, then when we get there, stay in a hotel until we find a rental? Or pick a place online without seeing it in person and Esign a lease? My bf wants to fly out first. I'm trying to find the cheapest option, but I don't want to cut corners and put my family in a bind.
I would suggest flying out for three days and renting an airbnb and then tour some neighborhoods and look at the rentals. I would not sign a lease without being 100% sure you like where you are living.
best of luck, how did it go? Curious if you dont mind sharing. Did you already know someone in ABQ? and did you already have a job/housing set up? Were you already familiar with ABQ or did you visit before you decided on the move?
depends on how much stuff you have and how far you are traveling. Doing it yourself can be very time consuming and stressful but obviously cheaper. Movers are insured if something breaks along the way.
I'm moving from PA to Illinois. I'm selling all my furniture. When I get to my new place, I will need a chair and a bed. I'm not a young person anymore, and I have arthritis. What can I do until I can buy new furniture? Any ideas?
What im having trouble with is the order in which to do things. Would it be smart to try finding a place to live then look for a job or vice versa? I have heard you can land a place using your current income with the state you’re currently living in however you won’t immediately find a job right away can someone please help me figure this out?
It all depends on circumstances. Are you single or have a family. How old are you? What type of job? Do you have savings. It's should be based on what you are looking for.
@@TheBritishBlokeRealtor I’m a single man with no family age 24 looking to move to Green valley ranch Nevada area. Currently have a good savings account between 7 to 15k. I just need to know the proper order when first moving out there because you can’t get a job without a residential address.

Hi Abel
Will you need to sell a property or are you currently renting? You can email me at matt@thebritishbloke.com if easier to chat.
Do you have any tips on somebody that has no plan but want to move out of state?
main thing is to decide on where you want to live. Then everything else will fall into place.
What about the pros and cons of using a moving company or doing it yourself?

no credit is tough. You can look into some section 8 programs potentially for housing.
