Born and raised in HB, it was better 20-30 yrs ago, and by that I mean, there were essentially NO visible homeless. But nowadays, they're trickling down from LA county and sleeping on beach and bus stop benches and a few in their cars/vans around the local neighborhood streets perpendicular to PCH.

I live in Santa Ana by Bristol and Warner. My side is clean now compared to like 15 years ago. The gang members either moved out, are in jail, or got deported. We only get the homeless and crazies by the 711, but they get kicked out by the cops but then they come back. I'd say its clean and safe now since you can walk around at night now with the improved lighting too.

I have always been California Dreaming! I check in next week from Tx. I have been in ATX for 4 months, i wont miss the heat and mosquitoes 🦟😀. Moved to Tx from South Africa so i miss the outdoors very much, CA weather is very similar to Johannesburg i guess.

Lived there for nearly 5 years. It’s highly expensive. It’s NOT relatively affordable. There’s two HOAs, one for your home and the community (amenities, security,etc). The combined total over $900 now. Then there’s the additional and annoying mello-roos taxes over $3000 and a required transfer tax when buying or selling of $6000-21,000. It’s a haven for younger couples with new money, childless professionals and well to do retirees. Buying an older home or renting in Culver City is less expensive. The restaurants in Playa are mediocre and overpriced but the ambiance and vibes are good. Playa Vista is one of my top favorite places, it’s where I’d buy my dream home if I could afford it long term.

Your video needs SEO to get views and channel subscribers organically.

I think the people who bought with interest rate around 3% and below will never sell. But yes, I think some investors and home owner will be selling if the price stays high. Otherwise, there is no rush to sell for most people. People are gonna save money by nothing going out to eat. They won't be selling with price cut on their property unless it is for relocation or they lose their jobs and is in an urgent to sell.

You’re right, CA is the best! You’re also correct about Aliso Viejo! In fact, there’s a section of Aliso that’s in the Laguna Beach School District too! Don’t get me wrong, Capo Schools are great, but living in a County of 3M people and sending your kids to a highly rated High School with less than 1,000 students can’t be beat!

Been in Seattle thirty-four years, but originally from Venice/Santa Monica. Southern California is the only place in the country that has a true Mediterranean climate and beaches. That says it all.

I grew up on the hill 1977 a senior at PV high. Lived by crest road. I still ride dirt bikes and was able to ride everyday over in the Portuguese open space. Had 3 motocross tracks then. Stop when 18 years old and went to college. Probably the last to ride there. Did get , I think 5 tickets between 10 and 18 yeas of age. My dad was so cool.

I lived in CA my whole life, primarily in the bay-area. The whole state is an unmitigated shithole. To anybody watching this video, do not be discouraged to visit south LA and east LA (east side). This is the side of LA that I have always known, and yes it may have its flaws, but they are composed of diverse and lively communities. As an LA native, you are more likely to get robbed in Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Hollywood Blvd, etc, than in these communities (just saying lol). These communities offer much more than cheaper living options. Like I said, they’re home to diverse communities with Latino/Hispanic, Asian, African-American/ Black owned business and families. Explore LA!!!

Feedback on West Long Beach?

Personal favorites as an LA native are Westchester, El Segundo & Manhattan Beach. PV I wouldn’t recommend due to the recent landslide destruction so who knows what’s gonna become of the residents there.
